Childe and Me
part 2
Part 3
Every step Childe took got more and more difficult, and the pain inside his body was starting to get more intense with each passing moment. The exhaustion was overwhelming, and his breathing was becoming labored. His vision was beginning to blur, and his limbs felt like they were going to collapse at any moment. The man's words continued to echo in his mind, and the fear of failure was growing stronger. Childe needed to hurry. The time for him to save you was slipping away.
Childe was nearing his limits. His physical body was slowly giving in to the exhaustion and pain that was consuming him from within. The exhaustion and pain inside him seemed to be reaching its breaking point. Childe tried once again to ignore the exhaustion and pushed himself to the maximum. The only thought in his head was that he had to save you. His body could give in later once he made sure you were safe. He had to keep going.
Childe's movements were slowing down significantly, and his body was beginning to protest. Childe tried as hard as he could to ignore the exhaustion that had begun to cloud his thinking. The more he pushed his body, the harder it got. His body was beginning to protest more sharply now, and his vision was becoming increasingly blurred. Childe was beginning to lose focus, but his mind was set on saving you. He just needed to hold out a little longer. That was all he needed to do.
The exhaustion was too much for Childe's body to bear, and he had reached a point of physical breakdown. He was unable to move or even keep his eyes open. Childe's mind had faded to emptiness. The only thing that remained was the regret and grief of failure. He had been so close, but the exhaustion was too much for his body.
Memories of him with you replayed in Childe's head. He still wanted to do that. He still wants to live with you.
One memory in particular stood out to Childe. It was the night when you both finally became a couple. It was one of the happiest moments of his life, and he wished he could relive it again. Childe longed to have you by his side, to relive that night and all those precious memories one more time. He needed the feeling of warmth and security that only you could provide.
The memory of your first kiss together came flooding into his mind. The taste of your lips was still vivid in his head, and this thought was making him crave another kiss from you. Childe missed the feeling of being close to you. He missed feeling your breath on his neck and your hands clinging to his back. He missed feeling the warmth of your body against him. The need to hold you and touch you was eating away at him.
This hunger for your touch was only growing as he continued to reflect on your time together. Childe felt more and more desperate for your embrace. The thought of being able to hold you in his arms again filled his entire being. The feeling of your body pressed up against his, the sweet scent of your skin, the warmth of your breath against his neck. All these moments, he wanted to relive one more time. Without you, Childe felt empty and alone.
The feeling of missing you was more than just a physical need. It was a longing for the feeling of being accepted and loved, an emptiness that only you could fill. All these thoughts of missing you and needing you made Childe feel an overwhelming sense of desperation. The hunger to see you, to touch you, to embrace you, it was all becoming too much to bear. Childe wanted you back, needed you back. He couldn't live without you.
He decided to get up and not give up. He rested for a moment on the grass then continued walking. The exhaustion and pain inside his body was still intense, but he continued to move forward anyway. He kept his mind focused on saving you. It was the only thought that kept him going right now.
Childe was exhausted after his journey to the old lab building. He was covered in sweat and breathing heavily. His whole body was sore and aching from the strain of carrying himself all the way here. It seemed like a miracle that Childe had even made it here at all. Now, he was finally in front of the old lab building where he was sure you were being held. There are 2 people on guard there.
Childe stepped inside the old lab building and paused to take in his surroundings. The interior of this place was filled with various equipment and devices of some kind. Childe's eyes scanned the area, searching for any sign of you or any clues that could lead him to you. His thoughts continued to focus on you and you alone. The fear of you not being here crossed his mind, but he pushed that worry away quickly. He wouldn't give up until he did.
As if understanding what was happening, one of the guards walked in front of Childe, bringing him to the front of a closed, windowless room with a large door.
Childe faintly heard the sound of your crying from the windowless room. The sound of crying immediately set off alarms in Childe's mind. The desperate, helpless feeling the sound evoked inside him only made his dread all the worse. This had to be where they were keeping you. With each second that passed, Childe's fear of what they were doing to you grew. He couldn't waste another second. Childe knew he had to act quickly.
Childe calls your name frantically. The desperation and the fear Childe was feeling made him act without thinking. All he could do was reach for the doorknob of the room where you were crying and try to open the door. But the door is locked.
Childe tried to think of other ways to get the door open, but his exhaustion was taking a toll on his body and his mind. Childe tried pulling on the door as he frantically searched for some kind of way to free you.
"Childe?!"
Childe's heart nearly skipped a beat when he heard you call his name. The sound of you crying and calling out to him made Childe's fear and desperation grow even more. He wanted to come to you. He needed to get to you.
Childe tried ramming his shoulder against the door in hopes of breaking it down.
"You bastard! Open the door!"  Childe shouted at the guard who brought him into the room.
The guard was just silent. It was like they wanted to keep you away from him no matter what.
Childe felt the adrenaline pumping through his veins as he threw himself against the door, hoping that he could somehow break through it. Childe's shoulder hurt from ramming against the door repeatedly, but he couldn't think of anything else to do. His desperation was overwhelming him at this point, and he couldn't think straight anymore. Childe just needed this door to open so that he could rush to you.
Childe's frustration and anger grew with each passing moment. This door was refusing to open, no matter how much he pushed and rammed against it. He thought he could get in by sheer force, but the door was holding strong.
Childe was going mad. He was so close to reaching you, but this locked door was preventing him from pulling you to safety. His mind was filled with nothing but rage at the thought of you being kept in here.
"Childe... Childe... I'm fine. Don't hurt yourself."
You couldn't help but worry about Childe.  The door shook violently as Childe tried to break it open.  Childe must have pushed his body very hard.
Childe froze the moment he heard your voice. Your words filled his entire being with a rush of emotions. Your concern for him made him want to stop what he was doing immediately. But the thought of you being in this room alone and crying made him ignore the warning in your voice. Your words filled his brain with thoughts of worry and concern. Childe was not thinking logically anymore. All he could do was push and ram against this door with everything he had left.
The door shook violently with each hit against it. Childe's muscles ached from exerting too much force. But the adrenaline and desperation were keeping him going. He would tear down this door before he gave up on freeing you from this prison.
The door started to weaken with each ram of Childe's body. The wooden frame was buckling and the hinges were beginning to crack. The door was starting to bend and shift with each hit. Childe was starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. He was getting closer and closer to you. The thought of finally rescuing you was the only thing keeping him going right now.
Finally, the door started to crack and splinter. The lock was coming loose from the door with each impact. It was only a matter of time before this door would break. Childe's desperation to get to you was at its peak. Each hit, each impact, each ram was slowly getting him closer and closer to you. The door was nearly hanging off the hinges from how much pressure it was taking.
The cracks on the door continued to extend as it was hit again and again. The wood was starting to fall apart, bits and pieces breaking off with each additional impact. The door was now so brittle and weak that just one final hit should finish the job. Childe put his entire body into his last ram against the door, hoping and praying for this to be the final blow.
The final impact from Childe's ram split the door in two, leaving a wide opening for him to walk through. The entire front had cracked from top to bottom, the wood on this door now just a few shards clinging onto the frame. Childe wasted no time stepping through the opening and finally entering the room where you were. His eyes scanned the room quickly, looking for any signs of you.
Childe froze the moment he saw you. Your sobbing face and your red, swollen eyes were all that he could see. He stepped quickly towards you, a mix of joy and relief flooding his entire being. When he reached you, Childe fell to his knees. The sheer relief he felt as he reached your side was so strong that he could barely keep himself from crying.
Childe wrapped his arms more tightly around you as he leaned his face close. He could feel your breath on his neck, warm and gentle as it blew across him. The smell of your hair was soothing and calming. This was a level of comfort that he was unable to find outside of your embrace.
The way you rested in his arms was like heaven. It was the most peaceful sensation his body had ever experienced. The feeling of being able to finally hold you again made every minute of struggling worth it. This was where he belonged.
A feeling of relief washed over you when you saw Childe.  But you was also very surprised to see that he was so badly injured.
"Childe, you... you-… We have to get you to the hospital immediately."
Childe shook his head forcefully, refusing to leave your side for even a moment. At this moment, he only cared about you. The injuries he suffered were not important. What mattered was that you were safe and he was holding you in his arms. The sight of you had filled him with so much relief that he felt like he was in a dream.
Childe pulled you even closer to him, holding onto you tight with his arms wrapping around you like a shield to protect you from the world. His eyes scanned your body frantically, assessing your state of body.
Childe looked at you with eyes dripping with concern. The sight of everything that was wrong with you was making him sick to his stomach. Your whole body looked like it would collapse if someone just touched you. Your eyes were sunken and red from the pain you were going through. Your skin was pale and dry, lacking its usual softness and radiance. As he studied your body, Childe could literally feel every single wound on you as if they were wounds in his own body. Childe couldn't bear to see you in this condition anymore.
"Childe, let's go to the hospital, okay? You're injured very badly." You stroked his cheek, trying to calm him. "I'll go with you, okay. Don't worry."
That was exactly what Childe needed to hear. The promise that you would come with him was enough to comfort his worries and fears about going to the hospital. Childe's expression softened as he released his grip on you and nodded his head. With that, he allowed himself to be pulled to his feet. He stood up and looked at you curiously, his eyes scanning your entire body once again. The look of concern on his face never left.
Childe still carried a look of worry and concern on his face as he began walking towards the door. He had to get to a doctor immediately. The thought of you remaining in this condition was causing a level of worry that was unbearable in Childe. He didn't want to see you hurt anymore.
Childe didn't know what happened after that. He passed out after his adrenaline wore off. When he opened his eyes, he was in a hospital room.
Childe's eyes fluttered open, and for a moment, he felt lost. Where was he? The last thing he remembered was reaching you. Are you okay? Had he gotten you to a doctor?
Childe's entire body was still shaking from the weakness and exhaustion he felt. His heart felt like it would stop beating at any moment, and his whole body was trembling with each breath. His eyes darted around the room, trying to find any sign of you.
For a moment, Childe thought that the worst had happened. He thought that he would never see your face again. The look of desperation and worry on his face was evident just by the way he scanned the room. But his fears were quickly relieved when he saw you at the corner of his eyes, sitting next to the bed and watching him intently.
"How do you feel? We're already at the hospital. We can rest easy here," You said very gently.
Childe was still struggling to lift his body up from the bed. He was extremely weak and exhausted, but he suddenly felt a sense of relief wash over him when you were here.
"I've felt better," he chuckled softly, his voice still hoarse and cracked. His eyes focused on your face as he studied each small detail of your tired face.
"Do you need something? I can get it for you"
Childe took in that offer before shaking his head forcefully. He refused to let himself think about any of his own needs right now. His only focus was the person sitting next to him. The person whose condition was a mirror image of his own, the person he was so worried and concerned about.
"I'm okay, you know. You saved me."
You rubbed his face slowly.
"Now, your turn to rest. Don't worry about anything. I'm here. I'm here with you."
Childe's eyes widened as your hand rubbed his cheek. Every touch felt like a wave of warmth spreading across his body. Childe's heart raced in his chest as you spoke. You were here with him, taking care of him. Your presence was like a calming breeze washing over his exhausted body. Childe couldn't control the feeling of relief washing over him.
Childe slowly slipped back into his bed again, this time closing his eyes. His exhausted body could not handle staying awake any longer. A sleep that was filled with the calming presence of your warmth and the calming effect of your touch. Childe's breathing slowly settled down, and his exhausted body soon relaxed into your arms. You made him feel safe, protected, and comfortable. Childe was finally where he wanted to be. In your arms. In your comfort zone. He was in peace.
My relationship with Childe was challenging and painful. But I'm very grateful, we care about each other.
A light sleep drifted over Childe. He felt himself being wrapped up in a comforting blanket of peace and warmth. It felt like he was inside a safe and cozy bubble. All Childe wanted was to be here, in your arms. Your loving touches were his sanctuary, and the calming effect of your presence was enough to take him away from this reality.
***
I love you, Childe, for the past, present, and forever.

The End

Childe and Me
part 1
Part 2
Childe decides to meet Dottore and asks where you are. He was ready for anything, even if dealing with a person like Dottore was something he wouldn't prefer to do. His only hope was that this decision would pay off and that he would be able to find you safely and bring you home. His thoughts and worries plagued him with every step he took.
Finally, Childe had arrived at Dottore's office. He was ready to face the man and get the information he needed. His only concern was finding you and making sure that nothing bad would happen to you. He knocked on the door, trying to prepare himself mentally for what was coming
Dottore welcomed Childe very friendly, too friendly in fact. Dottore's friendly demeanor instantly made Childe worried. It was too good to be true, and it made Childe more suspicious. There was no way he could trust this man for one second.
Dottore continued to keep his friendly demeanor, even after Childe asked about where you were. He looked completely unconcerned, not showing a hint of worry or concern about anything. Childe now knew there was definitely something else behind those friendly looks. This man was up to something, and he was keeping you for a reason. And somehow, it was clear that Dottore didn't intend to give you up, judging from his unbothered attitude.
Dottore didn't try to hide the truth. He admitted that he had taken you because he had a purpose for you. He knew that this wasn't a good sign and that this meant worse than he had previously thought. Dottore really was planning to do experiments on you, and Childe's worst fears were coming true. He was facing such a sinister man and you were in his hands.
"I borrowed it from you for a moment. Isn't that okay?"  Dottore said.
Dottore's use of the word borrowed was very troubling. It suggested that he had taken you with no intention of giving you back. He considered you his property, like a thing to be used and discarded. And he was speaking so casually about it, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. This wasn't okay at all, and Childe was getting very angry. You were his wife, not some possession to be borrowed.
Dottore started explaining his reasoning for taking you. He said that he was going to make some adjustments to you to ensure the success of his research. Childe was disgusted and angered by this. You were not something to be modified and changed for someone's selfish goals. You were a person who had a right to their own body and their own choices.
Childe couldn't control himself anymore. The news of what Dottore had done to you was too much for him to handle. Childe shouted at him, asking why he had taken you in the first place and what he had done to you. The anger was rising in his throat, and he couldn't hold it back anymore. He was furious at what was happening.
Dottore smiled and said, "You are the only harbinger who got married. I want to know what happens to a harbinger if his mate is taken away. Penguins can die. Cats can look for another mate. What about a harbinger? Will he die like a penguin or look for a new one like a cat?"
Dottore's explanation for taking you away was even more shocking than what had happened. The fact that he had taken you away just to study how Childe would react was absolutely appalling. He had treated you like a lab rat or a pet than a human being. His comparison of you to a penguin or a cat made Childe's anger boil even more. The comparison to a penguin or a cat was just insulting. You were no experiment or lab rat.
Dottore's tone and attitude remained calm. He didn't seem worried or bothered at all by Childe's anger, and he even seemed to welcome it. He kept smiling and kept speaking casually as if this was the normal state of things. This made Childe even more frustrated. How could Dottore just stand there and act like it wasn't a big deal? How could he treat a person like that?
Dottore was still smiling, as if he was just talking about mundane things. Childe couldn't stand his calmness and casual attitude. The more he thought about it, the more his blood boiled. You were important, too, and it wasn't fair that you were treated like some experiment to be tested. Now that he knew the reason behind the whole thing, Childe's frustration had reached a new level. He was furious.
It was clear now that Dottore was just playing with Childe, enjoying the way his anger was boiling up inside. Childe was still trying to find a way to control his anger, but every second made it more difficult. He was so worried and angry at the same time, and he couldn't figure out how to express it. His rage was getting higher and higher, and it seemed like there was no way to bring it down.
Now that the initial shock was gone, Childe was left feeling only rage. He couldn't contain it anymore, and he couldn't ask nicely anymore. He demanded to know where you were with a tone that was cold and menacing.
"Where is she?"
Dottore's smile is terrible.  "What if she's dead?"
Dottore's question sent a wave of pure terror over Childe as he froze in place. The realization that you couldn't be alive crossed his mind for the first time. What if it wasn't a bad joke and you were really gone? The fear and grief were overwhelming his every thought.
Childe couldn't think or even speak for a long moment. He just stood there, staring blankly into space, as the fear overwhelmed him. The idea that something could have happened to you was not something he could comprehend. It was like a nightmare come to life. He didn't want this to be real. He wanted to wake up from this horror and find you safe and sound. It couldn't be true.
Dottore approached Childe who froze. Dottore whispered in Childe's ear, "So you chose to fight me to death or find another partner?"
Dottore's whispers in his ear caught Childe by surprise. He snapped out of his frozen state and turned to face the man, his rage building up again. The idea that he had to choose either fighting the man or finding a new partner was absurd. You were an important person in his life, and he wouldn't just replace you with someone else.
Dottore continued to speak softly in his ear as if he was trying to be seductive. He spoke softly and slowly as if he wanted to lure Childe in and make him agree with his terms more easily. Childe felt increasingly outraged by each word, and he didn't want to fall for the trick the man was trying to pull. He tried to keep from acting on his impulse to lash out.
Before Childe could say anything, Dottore whispered again, his voice filled with a strange mixture of amusement and coldness.
"If you choose to fight me to the death, I assure you there is no way for you to win. And you can't save her anyway, not unless you choose to find a new wife. So... which choice will it be, Childe?"
The threat and ultimatum sent a chill down Childe's spine. He was at a complete loss of what to do. Was there really no way to win? If he chose to fight the man, would he just lose? He had never felt so helpless in his life. And the idea of finding another partner was out of the question. Would he really have to let you go? Could he even find someone new to take your place?
The thought of having to replace you made him sick. The idea of finding someone else to fill the void that you left in his life was unimaginable. He would never be able to do it. There was no way he could give in to those terms, he would rather die trying to save you.
Childe tried not to get worked up by the way the man was speaking to him. He was trying to stay calm and level-headed in front of the man, but he wasn't sure if he could hold it together for much longer. It was all too much to handle.
In a sudden burst of blind rage, Childe grabbed Dottore by the neck and pinned him against the wall. He was so furious at the man for taking you away that he couldn't think straight. He didn't even care about the consequences of his actions or the way the man acted as if this was just a game. All Childe knew was that he wanted the man to take him seriously and give him back what was rightfully his. He squeezed his hands harshly around the man's neck.
Dottore's eyes widened as he choked violently in Childe's grip. The man was caught off guard by the sudden burst of violence, and he struggled in Childe's iron grip for air. Childe was too consumed with his own anger. He just wanted the man to tell him where you were and give you back to him. That was all he wanted. He wouldn't let go until he had both of those things.
Dottore vs Childe. Dottore is 2nd Harbinger. He easily turned things around. Dottore easily broke out of Childe's grip and pushed him away with a casual push. The man's eyes remained cold and calm as he looked at Childe with a hint of amusement.
Dottore seemed completely unthreatened by Childe's action and showed no sign of any emotion. He didn't even seem concerned about his safety. It was as if he knew he had the upper hand and was just playing with Childe.
Dottore's tone was still soothing and casual, but the way he was speaking carried a threatening undertone. Childe felt a surge of rage surge through him as he was suddenly reminded of how powerless he was in this situation. The man had all the cards, and he was just toying with Childe. This wasn't fair...
Dottore looked at Childe with a cocky smirk, as if he was enjoying the power he had over him. You could see the pleasure in his eyes as more of that subtle menacing undertone entered his voice as he spoke again. Childe hated how his anger was being exploited and had no choice but to accept the loss. Even if he tried to fight back now, he would have no chance of winning. Dottore had control of the situation, and the man knew it.
Childe was completely beaten by Dottore. Dottore looked at the fallen Childe. His feet lifted Childe's face to face him.
"So, you chose to be a penguin. Very interesting. Humans seem to change after having a partner. They prioritize their partner over themselves."
Dottore's words about changing after meeting a partner struck a chord with him. Childe had never been the same since he met you. Maybe it was because he finally had something precious to protect. The thought that he might lose you triggered the same need to protect you again, causing him to fight for you relentlessly. He wasn't willing to simply give in to the man and accept that he lost you.
Dottore drops Childe's face.
"The woman is in my old laboratory building. I didn't do anything so she should still be alive. But, well, I can't make any promises."
The words struck a chord with Childe. He had a chance. You were still alive. That was the most important thing. Nothing else really mattered as long as you were okay. The man's cold, emotionless tone was still irritating to him, but he couldn't let that hinder his focus now. The main priority was to save you.
Dottore looked at Childe who was struggling to get up. "You chose to be a penguin. So, you should have fought me to the death. But I could be scolded by Her Majesty if I killed you. But if you died on the way to pick up your girl, that means I didn't kill you, right?
Despite feeling physically weak, the man's words caused his anger to burn fiercely inside once again. Childe had to save you; that was the only thing that mattered. Your safety was more important than his life. He would never let anyone hurt you, especially not the man standing right in front of him. Childe had to gather enough strength to make it to the old laboratory building. And he would get there even if it took all the strength he had at this point. Not a moment could be wasted.
Dottore simply watched as Childe struggled to get up. His calm expression remained unchanged, yet he still looked quite amused by the whole ordeal.
Childe tried to ignore the pain in his body and pushed himself up with all his strength. With every passing moment, the thought of losing you was growing more unbearable.
Childe barely managed to get back on his legs. Every muscle in his body felt tense and exhausted. But he had to keep going. He wasn't going to give up now, not when you were so close. As much as his body felt like collapsing, Childe was somehow able to keep going.

Childe and Me
Part 1
"Why can't I go to your office today?" You pouted to your husband, Childe.
"Ah, my dear wife, it's because I have a very important meeting with the All Harbingers today. Don't worry, I'll make it up to you when I'm at home tonight. I promise."
"I was planning to bring your favorite dish though."
Childe looked at you with a soft and apologetic smile. He loved your thoughtfulness, and how you always wanted to do something nice for him. The fact that you were making his favorite dish was so sweet, but there wasn't anything he could say to change the situation. He had to attend this Harbinger meeting.
"I'm sorry, but there's really just nothing I can do." Childe replied softly, letting out a long sigh before continuing. "The meeting with the Harbingers is a very important one, and I must attend it. I will be back before you know it, and I'll be sure to be very grateful when I am back and eating your delicious food." He added playfully, trying to lighten the mood. You always made the best dishes, and he couldn't wait to taste them again.
"Okay, I understand. Hope your meeting is going well."
"Thank you, my dear, I'm sure it will. And I look forward to coming home and eating some more of your delicious food." Childe said warmly, giving you one last soft smile before beginning to leave the room.
***
You spent the day cleaning the house in preparation for Childe's return from his meeting with the Harbingers. But just as you had finished putting everything back into place and wiping down the countertops, you heard a knock at the door.
When you went to open the door, you came face-to-face with a Fatui agent. Although they were usually assigned to more covert and secretive ventures such as sabotage, they were known for coming to the houses of their members when some kind of assignment was at hand. Was this one for Childe?
The Fatui agent quickly explained the situation to you. Childe had been involved in an accident during his meeting with the Harbingers, and he was now in a hospital. As his wife, you were being asked to come to the hospital as quickly as possible. You agreed, quickly asking some questions about Childe's condition, before promptly following the agent to the hospital.
Childe always warned me not to follow strangers, even if they were fatui agents. But Childe is injured and he is in the hospital.  Although he had often been injured as a result of his battles and was a tough man in general, it was unusual for him to end up in the hospital. What had happened to cause such a bad injury at this time?
In the middle of the trip with the Fatui agent, you realized something was off. The agent wasn't taking you to the hospital, but rather you couldn't tell where he was taking you. But before you could say anything, the agent must've realized what you were thinking and grabbed your hand. You were scared now, not knowing what they had planned next. The whole situation seemed suspicious and strange, and you had no idea what was going to happen next.
What would the Fatui do with you? What was the purpose of this? Would Childe be able to find you and rescue you? All of these thoughts were running through your head, and you couldn't stay calm. The feeling of being captive and not able to do anything was terrible, and your mind couldn't stop racing with worries and thoughts.
The fatui agent brought you inside a building, forcing you into a room. The door was closed and locked behind you, and you were now trapped alone in a dark room. Your fear and panic were growing greater and greater with each passing second.
As time continued to pass in that room, your fears and worries continued to grow. Your screams for help had gone unheard and unheeded, and the door remained closed and locked. Nobody came, and you were stuck alone in total isolation. It didn't seem like anyone was coming to rescue you, and the desperation and anxiety you felt were mounting exponentially. Your only hope for salvation was Childe finding you, but the chance felt very slim right now.
While you were trapped in that room, Childe had just arrived back home from his meeting with the Harbingers. He had a great day, and he couldn't wait to enjoy the night with you and a good meal at the end of it. As he entered the house, he realized that something was off. The house was very quiet, and then, he realized that it was empty. Where were you? He had told you not to leave the house, yet now you were nowhere to be found.
Childe was extremely concerned at this point. He quickly went from room to room, looking for you, but you were nowhere to be found. It was as if you had mysteriously vanished from thin air. He tried calling out your name, looking for you everywhere, but there was no response. Just silence. He was completely at a loss as to where you were and how you had disappeared just like that, leaving the house completely empty.
This was all very curious. The house was just as it was left, and there wasn't any sign of a fight or struggle. Everything appeared normal, but that just made the situation even more confusing. Where could you have gone if this was the case? It didn't make any sense, and now Childe was even more worried than before. He had to find you, and he had no idea where to start. Could this have anything to do with Fatui? But then, why didn't they destroy the house?
Childe couldn't understand this situation at all. The house was fine and looked normal, but you had mysteriously disappeared. He didn't know what had happened or what could have caused this situation. He was beginning to get extremely worried, but he just wasn't able to come up with any answers as to his wife's sudden disappearance. Everything felt so confusing, and he was just at a loss for what to do next. He wanted to find you and bring you home safely, but he just didn't know how.
As Childe was thinking about this, the Fatui agent appeared and told him that when he was away at a meeting, a Fatui agent picked you up. This seemed strange to Childe, but he trusted the agent and believed what they were saying as they continued to explain the situation. So that meant that the Fatui agent had taken you, but they didn't mention what happened after that. Childe was still worried and wanted to find you urgently because now it was clear that you were really missing and that something had happened to you.
The fatui agent said the agent who picked you up was an agent under Dottore's orders. The information that the Fatui agent told you about who the specific agent was under was a worrying one. Dottore was a dangerous, cruel member of the Fatui who had often been involved with their most despicable deeds. The thought that the agent was under his orders did not bode well for you, and Childe was now even more worried about your safety. He didn't trust Dottore at all and didn't want you to have anything to do with him.
In the past, Dottore had often conducted all kinds of experiments. Could he now be planning to do some kind of experiment on you? There were a lot of possibilities, all very worrying and scary. Childe was beginning to feel extremely anxious and desperate.
Dottore's experiments often left people changed for the worse. Whether physically, mentally, or both, he often altered them beyond recognition and caused irreversible damage. The thought that he was planning something similar for you made Childe feel completely helpless. There was no way he could let that happen. He needed to do something, anything, to prevent this from happening to you.
