A worthy successor to the old Daemon Prince rises!
Really fun model to paint up as all the little details really add to the whole! The glowing eyes work much better than the realistic eyes from the box art in my opinion, makes it more otherworldly.
Went for the nightmarish feeling with this one and I think I did pretty well also he stands out really well from my normal Chaos Marines while still feeling dark in color overall, quite happy.

Imperial Fists Gravis Captain done. First time weathering an infantry size model for me, and it could have gone better! - think I'll pick up some Orks soon (maybe the new Squig ones?) and have a better practice on them

Made a start on Shadowsun. Great model, and my first time using an airbrush on anything smaller than a rhino. Looking forward to doing the rest!

Little peek at my current progress on a Stormcast army. Picked a paint scheme that's fairly quick to put together (by my standards at least!). These are done with the exception of the bases. Done 20 so far, and got about 15 left of this batch before I do all the bases at once

Love how the razorback turned out. Do you have any tips for the weathering?
Thank you! I started with a dark brown paint very lightly dry brushed around the yellow parts that were closest to the tank tracks. Then for everything else I did sponge weathering - get a piece of sponge, dip it in paint, wipe off so there’s not too much paint on it, and dab the model, particularly around edges that’d get use (so the bottom, steps, handles etc.). Sponging doesn’t seem to work so well for flat panels, but I wouldn’t avoid them entirely.
With the paints for sponging on this model: I started with a very dark brown, then used a dark silver, and then a light silver in a few places for the final step.
Do any edge highlighting and transfers before weathering. Watch out for the sponge (which is quite large compared to a brush!) from catching things that wouldn’t weather such as lights/lenses, or paint those things after weathering.
There are some excellent tutorials for weathering online that do a lot more than a bit of sponging, so I’d recommend web searching them if you’d like to take it further.
