LAST SUNDAY’s ENERGY … . ….Was simply Off-The-Charts! . If anyone asks me to describe how positive, impactful, influential and overall community centric was @onentenphx annual 2023 Fresh Brunch, I cannot simply describe it! . A full on SOLD-OUT event with a waiting list in the hundreds, a gathering of 1,200 community members, private equity companies, small business owners, new parents, community leaders and Arizona leadership, including our Arizona State Governor Katie Hobbs, (for the first time),. made the walls, floor and ceiling of the @jwdesertridge shine and get electrified with their presence. . What called everyone’s attention, was the amount of publicly elected officials present in the room, and the influential positions they are responsable for in our state. . Having them there, was a reassuring statement that times are positively changing in our state, and we should keep pushing divisive, vitriol and dumb-founded rethoric back in the bigot’s closet. . As our Governor stated; - “An Arizona for Everyone!” . The funds raised will contribute to expand the presence, create education opportunities and grow leadership to this heartfelt group in town. . International author and Auctiontainer @letitia_frye did it again!,… taking the auctions to more than $1M dollars and setting another record of $1.2M, which is an incredible feat for this group! . For what it will be a traveling exhibit, curated by Chief Curator: @gabyurtiaga for @molaa.art in Los Angeles (along Beach), and one that will be traveling to our own @dbgphx in Phoenix later this fall. . An exhibit that includes this over-sized (literally) piece by the name of “Reclining Woman” (2007). many other pieces and sculptures by the famous Colombian maestro. . With paintings, extracts of personal notes, sketches, a video interview and sculptures, this is an exhilarating exhibit. . A narration of his early days, as an artist as early as 1977, all the way to his latest production, painted in 202 during the world pandemic and what is is his latest painting. . SOME DAYS ARE “COOLER” THAN OTHERS in the office, and today was one of those days. . As part of our new office location Grand Opening Celebrations, and to give back to our community, our office team welcomed for a full week, a group of young campers to our workplace, to learn about the world of design, architecture, city planning and other aspects of our day-to-day work. . All through “The HIPHOP Architecture Camp. . The kids learned how to make physical 3D models, work in the design of their own skate park in #Tinkecard software computer modeling, as well as explore materials, textures, how to use of color ….and even learn about lighting! - . Big thanks to The Design School at ASU for facilitating the computer lab for the 3D software exercises. . Today, their last day, we took a bus around town and taped scenes for what will become a full-on “film quality” video. . The kids used their creativity, their imagination and histrionic talents to compose, sing and dance a song made with their own lyrics, all to narrate their thoughts about our city and its future. . A message that for sure will make you think… and at the same time tap your foot once of twice! . Meanwhile, our Gensler PHX office marketing specialist Rachel Carraway, and myself took advantage of the energy of the moment and use our superpowers, to “cool-pose” in front of the latest art acquisition in downtown …. The #WelcomeToPhoenix mural, to send a message Max that we welcome everyone to our city! . TWO PEAS IN PINK…. . And I was wearing all black @suitsupply suit with a tie plus a cream overcoat to attend a very important executive meeting,… prior this commitee gathering. . I saw the PINK coat laying in of the chairs at the patio where we had our first commiteee meeting for this event,…aaaaaaand …. . And all of the sudden, I felt like @badbunnypr or @harrystyles or Sir. @eltonjohn and @boygeorgeofficial back in the day) … I felt even like one of the @spicegirls ! . Color codes are part of the transcendence timeline of humanity through history. . Trust me, I wrote this with much knowledge, after countless hours as a student of two of the most prominent art and architecture faculties around the world ,…. and now part of pre-class studies as a faculty associate at @asudesignschool . Pink is the selected color associated to campaigns around the world for women’s cancer programs, and has been adapted as the all women as their color for many PINK reasons, and that is ok,…. . Well,…Statistics have demonstrated bluntly (and sadly), that cancer is second leading cause of deaths in women of all ages, race, and origin, at an alarming and increasing rate of 20.6% - According to the foremost government agency in our nation, the @cdcgov, 2020 study - Validated by private research company @statista . . With lung cancer first, Brest cancer as the second, cause of fatalities, the deadly illness keeps increasing in areas of the body where is appearing in female bodies, and affecting them at a higher rate more frequently. . Yesterday, I had the honors to be invited to be a commitee member of the ** * Runway for Research 2013 * * * annual event taking place at @neimanmarcusscottsdale at @scottsdalefashionsquare later in October 13th this year. . A fundraising event around the world of fashion and beauty, with a strong awareness and research importance message that helps to raise funds to @tgenresearch - our leading Cancer Research agency. .
