EEEE thank you so much for this! I'm going to answer for my AoT OC, Lozen, since that's the fanfic I'm working on :)

heartbreak: Have they ever had a relationship that ended badly? Experienced some other kind of heartbreak? What happened?

For Lozen, she absolutely has and it was what got her reconnected with Erwin.

After leaving the Scouts a month after joining to care for her father, Lozen caught the eye of a merchant, Vincent Moreno. They struck up a business partnership, which she used to improve and protect her community and secure good care for her father. After denying his advances, she finally agreed to go on a date. She found him to be charming and caring, encouraging her to embrace her culture in a town that looked down on it. She grew to trust him and care for him, eventually moving in with him. Lozen really put up a barrier around her heart, because she still had feelings for her childhood friend, Erwin, but was doing what she needed to do to look after herself and her community. It wasn't until her father had a particularly bad episode that she finally agreed to marry Vincent, but allowed herself to have one last fling with Erwin before closing that door and moving on with her new life.

Over the course of their marriage, she opened up and allowed herself to feel and trust a bit more, which developed into love. For the two years they were married, Lozen threw herself into work, getting her hands dirty to secure Vincent as a Lord and top merchant, all while he promised protection of her people's land. One night, she's following a target to gather blackmail, when she discovers over half of her community in a forced labor camp. Her heart shatters because she trusted Vincent and allowed love to blind her for so long that she'd missed the signs that were in front of her, as well as because she contributed to her relatives' suffering in trying to retain her status in Stohess.

Confronting Vincent didn't go as planned (which is to say, she didn't plan and let her emotions lead), and he trapped her in their bedroom, torturing her into not giving him up to the Military Police. When it became clear he would not stop until she either relented or died, she managed to get the upper hand and attempts to escape. In her flight and self-defense, she shoots and kills him. The MPs are quick to respond and arrest her for the murder of Lord Vincent Moreno.

From this experience, she believes love to be a cage- one she will avoid at all costs. It blinded her and caused so much harm that she should've seen were it not for feelings.

Desire and mistake for the not so nice OC questions 😊

Going to go with two OCs for this one, so enjoy! mistake: What’s the worst mistake your OC ever made? What led to them making it? Have they been able to fix it? How have they moved on?

For Saran Aeducan, the worst mistake she ever made was killing her brother Trian during the events of her origin. Much to her shame, making it was easy for her; she was already hot-headed at the best of times and was incredibly combative towards Trian, and all Bhelen needed to do was manipulate that just so into the outcome he wanted; it was all too easy to convince her that Trian had her worst interests at heart, considering the state of their relationship.

Of course, she can't fix it. You can't bring back the dead. She does eventually move on from it, but she doesn't really put her guilt and grief over it to rest until after the events of Awakening, so I'd say it takes her about a year and a half or so to really move on from it.

desire: What’s one thing your OC wants more than anything in the world? Are they open with that desire? Why or why not? What would they do to fulfill it?

For Bela Brizkel, the one thing she wants more than anything else in the world is to be safe: both for herself, and for her eventual loved ones. She keeps that desire close to her chest thanks to her upbringing in the underdark, where it was hard to trust anyone and even the ones you did trust usually still had a knife to your throat. As for what she would do to fulfill it, well... at the start of her journey after being abducted, she'd do anything. To me, part of the fun of her eventual replay is seeing if she sticks to that mindset.
