“Considering that,” Ivan picks up the thread. “We think this time may be really bad. Figured giving the ship’s doc a heads up was a good idea.”
Roach lets out a breath. Something complicated and protective surges in his chest. He cares about the stubborn little man, damn it, even if he knows Israel Hands hardly needs his protection and wouldn’t take kindly to it either. In addition, these guys doing a bad job at a craft he takes pride in feels like a professional insult.

Ive got a really cute idea for day 6 but no matter how many times I rewrite it I don't like it. =(
Music, magic, fake dating, roommateys. Frenchie wants to do a gig at a local club, but can't get in to play because it's a magic only club, so he gets in via fake dating Wee John, a fire elemental/caster of some kind. Feelings happen. Maybe frenchie discovers he has music magic of some kind, or they smooch, idk.
I'll keep poking at the fic and see if I can write it, but also if anyone wants to take a shot at the idea I'm glad to have it adopted.
