I’m going to do a Brook Headcanon to what happened before & after Dewey’s Death:
Brook was there when Dewey collapsed in their bedroom from the bubbles that were a result of the illness that he had. She rode in the ambulance that took Dewey to the hospital, leaving Harold in charge of the kids who were understandably upset that their papa was close to dying.
The next day, she woke up to the news in the hospital that Dewey was comatose but was still alive but he would unfortunately have to spend his remaining months alive in hospital.
When Brook walks in, she sees wires going into him and nasal cannula which broke her heart into thousands of pieces unlike the hundred before.
She would try everything to wake him up before getting a response from Dewey by a small squeeze to her hand and he slightly woke up.
She would stay with him for his remaining months alive, she would get more & more depressed when she realises that each day that he’s getting closer to death, but she remains strong for him.
The kids will visit the hospital but Wade can’t bring himself to say anything, staying silent while Alan, Lake & Eddy do the talking.
When Dewey does pass on, Brook breaks everywhere emotionally & mentally. She has to be coaxed by both her brother & and emotionally wrecked Alan to stop hugging Dewey and let the doctors take him to the morgue, she does take his wedding ring from his finger and puts it in her pocket.
She screams as Dewey is taken away to the morgue, saying that she won’t leave him, she punches Harold across the face but he holds strong and tells her that Dewey is gone in which she shuts off.
The car ride home is sad where Lake is sitting on Brook’s lap and both are just broken and upset but Lake makes it sad when they ask if their papa can come back.
When they get home, Brook runs off back to her room, not before taking everything that was Dewey back to her room.
Over the coming week, she stays in her room as she looks at her and his wedding ring and she places it in her jewellery box, never to put any sort of ring on her finger ever again as Dewey was the only person that she will be married to.
For the week in her room, she would cry at medium volume before she cries the loudest when she wakes up and goes to bed as Dewey is not there to kiss her, give her a giant bear hug with more kisses and do their favourite thing in bed.
Multiple attempts by her kids, Harold & her mother & father to get her out of the room but she doesn’t say a word and ignores them until Dewey’s Biological Father, Jerry II & Adoptive air mother, Brie breaks into the room and talks to her, while they get thrown out eventually, they tell her to please come out of her room.
The next morning, the combined efforts of Jerry II, Brie, Alan, Wade, Lake, Eddy, Harold & her parents slowly bring her out of her room and they see that she is a mess, hair disheveled, eyes all red from crying and her dress smells.
They see her attempts into get back to normal life but she is too depressed to do anything, all the things she can say is Dewey-related.
For the funeral, she is a sobbing mess and when she is on stage about to give her final respects and stand by Harold as he delivers her euology, she cries out for Dewey to come back which makes everyone from her family, friends & Dewey’s Childhood to professional friends cry their eyes out.
Before he is lowered into the ground, she says “I love you and I will miss you Dewey.” Still upset, at wake she is silent and doesn’t talk.
While the kids except Wade get through the 5 steps of grief at a normal rate, she takes the grief at the slowest pace in the world, lasting for the better part of 3-4 years.
She recovers enough to work again but when the kids are gone and she’s alone, she likes what she was the night he passed.
Half her bed is empty and she fills the space with a 6ft Teddy Bear that Dewey bought her and is conveniently named, Dewey II. She puts his cologne on the bear which slightly fills the void in her heart when she goes to sleep and wakes up.
Until one day, she sees things that she can’t explain
Before then, she didn’t believe in ghosts but one night when she goes to cry in the living room, she hears the family photo fall into the water which gives her hope that the ghost of Dewey is visiting.
She then pulls the old trick of putting pillows in bed to make Dewey think that she is asleep while she hides in the shadows of her room.
When she catches Dewey, she gives him a hug and kisses and instead of phasing through him, her kisses touch his lips and her hug’s wrap around him, she cries as she asks for Dewey to keep visiting her which he does for the rest of her life every-time she feels down.
He tells her that he saw her cry and stay awake all those nights for the three to four years before he got permission from God to visit her which he submitted the day after he died.
She tries to tell her kids what happened and they agree just to please her because they know she is not the same mentally as they are about their late father.
That is before Dewey appear behind Brook and the kids believe her and they hug their ghostly father.
With this, she recovers a lot better to the point where she was when Dewey retired and had all the time in the world to be with their kids.
She becomes extremely protective of Dewey’s image and terrifies those who try and make anything about her late husband.
Around the time of Elemental and after, she still misses Dewey a lot and finally makes Wade come to peace with his dead dad.
When she says “Mend that Broken Heart.” Everyone including her family look at her as they know her heart hasn’t mended yet from the loss of Dewey.
She often dreams about an alternative life where Dewey was cured and lived to the present, where would they go, would they had tried for anymore children, and as she got older, she got more excited about seeing Dewey again
On her deathbed, she watches as the light gets bigger and she hears Dewey telling her not to be afraid and her final words would be all excited and says “Dewey!”
Her & Dewey would be buried together and she would run into his arms in heaven and they would be lovey dovey in heaven for all eternity.

Death in the Family (Elemental)
Elemental City General Hospital, 6:00 PM, Room 112
The room was all quiet, there was only one occupant in the room, but was in a painful sleep.
Dewey laid in his bed, the tumour had grown over the last two months which had caused most of his organs to shut down, even opening his eyes to look around was a painful experience.
Hundreds of things were in his arms to keep check of his pulse and what was still working in his body.
While out for the most of the time, he could hear the outside world with family visits and final goodbyes from friends. It became heartbreaking over the last two months with hearing Brook’s hope for him to recover, dwindle to the point where she silently crying every time.
He kept a tally of who visited him, who wasn’t Dr Coral, over the last two months he was in ICU.
Brook: 82 times (Twice Every Day) Brie: 71 times Jerry II: 70 times Lake: 67 times Harold: 66 times Alan: 65 times Wade: 56 times Eddy: 20 times Liv: 1 time #1: 1 time #2: 1 time
The light above him was growing slightly as he heard the door to his room open to a multitude of people.
“Hey Dewey bear.” Brook’s voice sounded as she walked to his side, he then felt his bed shift.
He breathed deeply as he painfully opened his eyes that hadn’t been opened in over a week to see his entire family and his mother along with Jerry II.
“Ha-Harold.” He asked for Harold who he could see through his blurry vision.
Harold leans forward to see the charcoal and bright yellow eyes of Dewey to listen to what he had to say.
“I want you to protect my wife from now on. You care for your sister a lot but if anything happens, I will find you.” He says, recounting the warning that Harold gave him all those years ago.
“Dewey. I will.” Harold says with slight sadness
Dewey then looks towards Brook who’s tears were already flowing out of her but she was keeping her cries at bay.
He blinks momentarily and she looks to see the eyes had reverted back to the beautiful baby blue that she first fell in love with all those years ago.
“Oh, Dewey!” She whispers, her cries slightly creeping out, but she was so happy to see his pure eyes that reminded her of the last 31 years of her life with him.
She was comforted by her children with all three hugging with love. Alan stepped forward to talk to his dad for the final time.
“How are you doing?” Alan asked.
“Feeling better.” His dry voice evident
“Take care of your mother for me, please.” He said as his voice grew shallower and shallower, his hand reaching out for Alan which Alan held, the tears streaming down his cheeks as Eddy went to comfort him.
“Dad… Please don’t leave.” Alan pleaded with him
Dewey’s breathing got quieter and quieter, he looked up at his shiny crystal of his life, the two shared eye contact.
His final act was to smile at Brook before he straightened out and then he sighed, his body became very relaxed as he passed on.
The final thing he felt was a kiss from Brook on his forehead and Alan’s hand before it slipped out of his son's grasp.

Hello Elemental Fans of Tumblr
For the last 24 hours, I’ve been drawing my version of Dewey (Wade’s Deceased Father) in Elemental, only flat out mentioned twice in the movie besides having speaking lines in Unlikely Friends and tons of mentions from Brook & Wade.
This is my version of Dewey from him as a baby all the way till his final day alive.

Dewey (Wade Ripple’ Dad) explaining his backstory
Hello Everyone, this writing that I’m about to show you comes directly from a scene in a story I’m currently working on called “El Tres” which is probably coming 2023 or 2024
This backstory explained by Dewey could also apply to him in the main elemental timeline and my alternative universe where Dewey lives to see his version of events of Elemental. This was written by me and the brilliant tumblr user of beyblader04, it was really fun making this.
(I have art of my version of Dewey)
Without further do,
Let’s Begin:
"I was very alone growing up. I couldn't tell anyone how I felt about doing Waveball with the intense training. I essentially become stubborn to everyone, even to my teammates, that wasn't like me. Until I was 17." Dewey explained to Logan (A).
"I'm guessing that this is where you met someone?" Logan (A) asked as he sat down at the campfire. Dewey smiled as he remembered the first time that he saw her.
“She was a very talented builder, she was beautiful, like crystals in the glistening ocean,” Dewey explained Brook to Logan (A).
“Ok, poet, I'm assuming she cared about you and your feelings besides caring about you because you were the best waveball player?" Logan (A) teased and then questioned.
“She did… One day, I wasn’t having a good day with my shooting, and my parents were letting me hear it. She came up to and talked to me to make sure I was alright."
Looking up from his drink, he remembered a woman who was just like the one he was describing but it was to help him during the recording session after he found out about his caretaker had terminal throat cancer.
“Any other times like that or was that one and done?” Logan (A) asked as he nestled the mug into his hands.
"Hmm… ah- that one.” Dewey (A) thought and then remembered.
“There was one time I helped her with one of her projects. She needed a second opinion, and her partners on the project were not available." He told Logan (A), he smiled at the thought of what Dewey might of added.
“What was your second opinion, what did you add to the project?” Logan (A) questioned
"I added an area for a garden. She thought it was silly, but her teacher loved the idea." Dewey told him as he tightened the blanket around himself to keep himself from getting too hot.
“And She passed?”
"She did pass. She went looking for me to thank me for the help and then we started talking fully." Dewey confirms and tells him.
"We would talk about the things we were doing, I helped a little more with her projects and she started going to the games, right in the front row to support me." Dewey continued
“She was the loudest?”
"Yes, and um… ha-, one time I did get distracted and got piled on during one game. Worth it though."
“What did she do to get you distracted that much?” Logan (A) asked.
"She was looking really happy and as I was going to catch the ball, she called out my name in a cheer and I looked at her and the rival team dog piled me," Dewey explained
“Oooo… Ow. Hopefully, that didn’t cost you the game. How did she feel about that?” Logan (A) said and then asked.
“It did not, and she felt bad that she distracted me, but I told her that I take all kinds of hits in Waveball." Dewey (A) explained
“Did you go out after the game?” Logan (A) asked
“We went out afterward to a nearby restaurant where we started the romance of our relationship."
“When you mean by that is… was that where your first kiss was or was that elsewhere?”
“It was after we ate and left, it was out of nowhere, and both of us were surprised."
“Who was the first, you or her?”
“Me, both of us were smitten with each other but I was the one, who was more smitten.”
“Waveball… That reminds me, Jerry told me while you were out that you got beamed in the nose, during the Waveball championship, what did she do?”
“She tried to rush over to the bench, to check if I was alright."
“What happened after the game was won between you two?”
"We went out to eat, but when we were going back to my parent’s place, I think the hit was harder than usual and I sorta passed out in the sub."
Logan (A) looked at Dewey, surprised that he got knocked out.
"A call and trip to the emergency room to check me out. Brook never left my side though. I didn't mean to scare her like that."
“I guess, she was the first thing you saw when you woke up?”
"She was right by my side, the nurses probably saw her concerned and allowed her to stay in case I woke up."
“What happened between both of you when you were awake in the hospital?”
"We talked for a while, I apologised for scaring her when I passed out. I promised her that if I ever got a hard hit again, I would get checked."
“What did she tell you?”
“She said that she loved me with all her heart. I told her that she means so much to me before she kissed me.” Dewey told the events as they happened.
“Was that the moment that you knew she was going to be your wife? Surely you proposed to her in the garden that you suggested?”
“Oh, I just knew she was the one when I saw her for the first time, I even told my teammates that too, and yes. The garden was the perfect spot to propose to her, seeing that it was the first place we made together." Dewey said confidently and confirmed the garden location.
“How did she react?”
“She was surprised, then started tearing up and said yes, she wanted to spend the rest of her life with me as her husband," Dewey said as he still remembered the aftermath with him lifting Brook up as both cried rivers of happiness, then flashed forward to the entire wedding as both cut the water cake as both kissed each other again.
Logan (A) smirked a little at that before he wanted to ask the question that plagued him since learning of his existence when he was living his secluded lifestyle.
“Umm… so, Dewey, I know you may not want to answer this question, but what happened, that week with you & #17.”
“At first, I was nervous at meeting your- well, our species as I didn’t know what they wanted but me & brook were suspicious of why they had shown up 18 years after my birth.”
“Yeah since the last day, you potentially saw us, you were a day old.”
“Believe me when I say this, I was really nervous, but Brook helped me calm down and we decided to visit this #17 person and I assume, his wife?”
“Yeah, #17 & she weren’t… the most appealing people to talk without… some problem arising. I’m sure you had that same experience.”
“Yes, so we had the meeting with them. They were quiet for most of the time, only speaking when they wanted to, his wife was more alive and understanding than he was. Then he asked if he wanted to join them, which I wasn’t too sure about because I wasn’t willing to leave everything for people I had only known for a week.”
“Brook didn’t take the news of that well?”
"She was very mad. In fact, she got up and started to just yell at them, telling them about why now they popped back up in my life when told about a potential wife coming in and she saw my adopted parents as my real parents. She was defensive.”
“What happened after the talk?”
"Brook stormed out and I followed her out the door, I was worried that the meeting ruined everything. We went to the park to calm down and talk about everything. Brook was worried that her anger might have done something to hurt my relationship."
“And you told her that it was fine because you agreed with the points she stated?” Logan (A) questioned
“Yes, after I told her that I wouldn’t leave her for them. She just gave the hugest heartfelt hug to me, saying reassuring words to me and telling me that she loves me for who I am."
"That's good..."
He then shifted to the next question.
"Dewey. Did you ever ask yourself about what the infection you had?"
"I was very curious on how I caught the infection and what it was. I was usually careful with where I traveled, even during Waveball.”
"It's something that we have. We call it the tumor because it was literally that. On how we straight up didn't get alerted for 40+ years is anyone's guess."
“True, but at least it's no longer an issue.”
"When did Brook see it for the first time?"
"I was changing my shirt when she came into the room and all of a sudden, screamed. I was confused until Brook pointed it out on my chest."
"How big was it at the time?”
“It was- you know the circle at the bottom of a cup, that was the size.”
“Did she try and pull it out first?”
“She tried to, but I stopped her, we were not sure what it was and I didn't want Brook to try and toss it.”
"When did the complications start?" Logan (A) questioned as Jerry II watched on with regret for his mistake that almost cost Dewey his life.
“Maybe about two months later. I suddenly felt a pain, but thought that it was something I ate. Then I couldn't breathe."
"Was this before or after your kids?"
"After my children were born. Brook was starting to worry about me, but I told her that I would be alright."
“Was this when you started bubbling up."
"Yes, at first it was small, but as the problem worsened, the bubbles got a bit bigger."
"How long did you have left before we came to get you out of your coffin?”
“Maybe about two, three months if I took care of myself well. Brook was heartbroken thinking that I didn't have too long left over. The kids were hurt too when they found out."
“Now bro, you will live to see your grandchildren… How do you expect Brook to react when you get home, in your peak form?”
"She'll be shocked a little, but most of all... she'll be happy once she finds out the infection is gone completely and I’m back looking like this,” Dewey says as he lifts his shirt to reveal his thin but strong form.
“Yeah... Don't try anything with her yet, because you have to heal fully or you could just try either way."
“I know that! I just have to explain that I'm still healing from the surgery.”
"Yeah, Yeah. I get it. I'm just saying."

Wade’s Dad Post (The Sequel)
What I have learned over the last few days:
The photo shows early concept art of him with a young Wade. I believe he was cut very early in which his design would be used for Harold.
(Pixar has been known to change stuff early on and find someway to include them in the finished product. The original design of Dean Hardscrabble appeared in the first class of Mike’s limited time in the scaring program. I believe this is what they did with Dewey and Harold)
(That means, Ladies, Gentlemen and everything in between, we can have our interpretations of Dewey)
Dewey (That’s his name) was highly critical of Wade ever since he was five. (Which makes me think that he would have caused some problems with Wade’s decision to date Ember)
He had health problems during the limited moments i have seen of Unlikely Friends Book, his issues having occurred for quite some time.
He was into Sports in his young life but was forced to stop due to health issues (My Theory)
EDIT: omg, he died when Wade was 16, which makes the regret in the movie he never got to apologize after their argument

Minor Spoilers for Elemental
When the scene between Wade and Ember where ember discussed how her grandfather didn’t bow to her father when he left for elemental city, Wade mentioned that his father had died sometime ago, this got me thinking about Wade’s Father with the following questions:
TW// Death Mentioned towards the end of the questions I have:
What was he like?
When & How did he meet Brook?
What was his relationship with kids and grandkids, was he supportive for what they did?
When did the decline begin?
How did he die?
And Most Importantly…
Would’ve he been accepting of his second son’s relationship with Ember if he was still alive around the time of the movie?

The Golden Empire: Part III
Monsters University, Scaring school
"That little bitch," says Meldani, reacting to the news of Henry saying no to their demands.
Getting up from his chair in Class A109, he walked back into A113 with the red chairs set in a half-moon order.
He stomped his way over to the leader's statue as it was collecting dust along with the dusty scream can on the small stand.
Picking up the statue that weighed a ton, he put it over his head and spiked it into the stone floor, it shattered on impact.
Pieces of the marble reached his soldiers as they made their way towards him as he grabbed the scream can and tried to uncork it. He manages to unplug the can, causing it to hit him in the side of the face.
He falls to the floor clutching the left side of his face in pain while the scream can hit the domed roof, changing direction and going through the colour-stained glass window on the upper level, disappearing into the brightening grey sky.
"Mel, those things are like oxygen tanks, you screw around with these, and they are gonna blow your face off," shouts Quter as he observed it had the same characteristics as an oxygen tank.
"Sergeant Connor," says Meldani as he gets up.
He gets his gun from his holster and shoots Quter in the face.
He gasps for air as he falls to the ground, the other personals at the front remain emotionless in the face but in their heads, they're horrified that their leader is now shooting their best because he expressed his concern.
Quter's eyes look towards him with blood flowing into the cracks of the pavement.
"Gentlemen, do you want to be the man that makes this animal look like this," he asks as he pointed at the shattered remains of the statue.
"I'll go, sir," volunteers Kevan.
"Great, you go kill Mr whatever his name is so, when he's dead, we can kill them all."
"Yeah, right," Kevan says with his facial expression being 'WTF'.
Roar Omega Roar Fraternity house
Shirley looked outside at the built-up snow through the window to the right in the massive living room. It had been a day since the people that she learned were called the golden empire had arrived, the heat in the living room had been enough for the ROR members to move around the house in short moments before rushing back to the living room.
She heard the distant conversation between Johnny and his dad on the house phone while the rest of the frat was beside the fire.
"Look, Henry said he is sending people to you. I have an Elite meeting at five and I will relay what you have said,"
"Alright, you do that." Worthington II says.
"Goodbye, son," his father tells him as he hangs up.
After placing the phone down, he thinks back to the last couple of hours, having to risk his life in trying to convince the other frats and sororities that weren't in the courtyard when everything occurred.
HSS and PNK were easy to convince while convincing OH, GRR, EEK and AEA to not to step outside took a few minutes, while JOX had told him to eat a dick and they would be stepping outside regardless, and he could only watch as the six disappeared into the snowy landscape.
He walked into the massive living room space where the fire raged.
"They're going to get themselves killed along with JOX," he says to his group.
Shirley hugs him.
"Don't say that. Everything will be fine. Maybe those things have an enemy, meaning that the enemy of my enemy is my friend." Shirley tells him while he grins at that proverb.
"Do you think that JOX would go into that type of weather?" she asks
"Shirl, they're not very smart,"
"Well you can't say that after almost joining them," she teases him, he rolls his eyes in embarrassment while his frat mates snigger at the comment.
"I hope, they get to us before we all freeze to death," He says as he hugs back.
"I'll do anything to make sure that all of you make out, even if it involves me dying in the process,"
"Don't you ever... Say those words to me," Shirley says with anger present in her voice.
"What will I ever do for the rest of my life? Without you?" She questions him.
"Never get to experience the question, get married, have children of our own. Growing old together?"
City #11, The Grounds, 8:23 PM
Getting off the bullet train at the grounds, he saw the line while going down the escalators that he knew were for the ticket booth. He groaned as he got in line and waited to get to the front.
After waiting for five minutes, he is greeted by the middle-western voice of #987,231.
"Hello sir, paying for your entry?" he asks through the hole in the window.
"Yeah. Quick question, is this man on grounds?" asks #1,781,986 while showing a photo of the person. The Ticketmaster blinks rapidly in shock as he sees the image and knows who it is.
"Yes, yes sir," he says as he follows the forwarded order from #1 and types in the number displayed.
"Ok, I am sending the coordinates to your AI right now and... done. He is on the northwest side of the park," he says.
"That way?" asks #1,781,986, pointing northwest. #987,231 nods.
"Thanks, bro," he says as he walks past him and into the carnival.
As he enters the carnival, his AI pulls up the location. He walked through the crowded path to reach the middle part of the park, which was a big stone-carved water fountain. He looked at the map and made a left and continued, the path was a lot less crowded, and he walked on the left-hand side before he made another right.
He then saw the person he was looking for, #321,986.
Leaning against the exposed wooden pole, hoisting a carnival tent up, he was looking away from a memorial of his friends who died. #1,781,986 approached his friend from behind and tapped him on the shoulder.
He turned around, his business suit was all black with his overcoat twirling as he looked at the man that tapped him on the shoulder.
#1,781,986 stares at his face, covered by black lenses, a black face mask, with bandages wrapping up his face to cover up the 'injuries'.
He gathers what he is going to say.
"Logan, I ask you to join me,"
#321,986 silently crosses his arms and his mask lights up with the words "Why should I?"
"The remnants have fled to this planet in D 321986," he reports while showing him the hologram of the planet.
"Ok, you chose me because I share the same number," the mask lights up again. #1,781,986 gives him an expression of disappointment.
"Meldani is on that planet," he reveals. The news strikes #321,986 like a train as Meldani is the cause of the state he was in now.
Noting the expression changing through the bandage wraps as a sign of anger.
"Is he now?" says the mask as it lights up the words.
"Do you want to be the guy that buries the knife into Meldani's neck?" says #1,781,986 as his suit tentacles go forward while presenting the knife with its checkered hilt most visible, his friend nods.
Apartment Block 323, Room 2886
#321,986 twists the doorknob of his apartment to the left, it opened the door slightly with the cold air flowing out of his room and into the hallway.
The room was pitch black but clean except for dried-up blood in the porcelain sink in the dark bathroom.
Walking past several newspaper clippings of the war, plastered over achievements of his past.
He goes to the back of his wardrobe, switching on a light as he pulls out a seven-foot-long briefcase that opens to reveal the TTK MK V, placed in cut-out sections.
It was worn with one side burnt red due to being exposed to the vacuum of space and the sun. He dips his hands into the little groves to pull the entire suit out of the briefcase except for the helmet. He grabs it and looks at the helmet with its tiny cracks visible.
He turns the helmet around to the back and moves his fingers through the wire dreadlocks of his helmet to lift a small panel that has the switch to his version of artificial intelligence called John.
He flips the switch, and the voice he last heard two years ago, greets his ears again.
"Mr. 321,986," says the AI.
"It has been one year, ten months and eighteen days since you last used your helmet," says the AI as #321,986 gets into his armoured suit.
"Yeah and?" #321,986 facemask lights up saying as the tentacles sport out of the back of his armour, he turns his head to his tentacles as a hello as they stretch and gently pat him on the head.
"Over those days. I fixed all the software problems that was caused by the explosive decompression," reports the AI as he takes off the black lenses, to slide the helmet over his head.
He looked at the multitude of red eyes staring back at him before he turned it around and slid it over his head, wincing as the bandages fully pressed the burnt parts of his face.
The eyes blink multiple times before walking out of his closet with his armour on, he stops to peek out his apartment window, moving the blind out of the way to see the evening sun disappearing behind the horizon.
He thought about what was ahead of him. He clenched his fists as his mind flashed through the last two years of his life from the beginning of the disaster, the funerals he attended, the golden empire saying that their lives were worthless, having to deal with survivor's guilt for over a year alone and his face returning to his original state.

The Golden Empire: Part II
City #8, Planet 2, 3:28 PM.
Rain showered down onto the city streets below as the umbrella-wielding civilians walked through the wet city, half walking alone or as part of groups.
In the news station, a tall white-skinned male with a tone body type, dressed in a fine pressed black suit with black shoes, read the latest news of the war of gold and their number of losses against his, showing everyone that the golden empire was all talk.
#1,781,986 ran his fingers through his short purple beard and faded hair with twists at the crown of his head.
Shutting the newspaper, putting it down on the desk as he walked out of the shop and into the wet city outside.
He walked in the area not covered by roofing, going into the wet cityscape as he got out his umbrella while continuing to his destination. Hearing the roaring engines of sports cars as they thundered down the open airways.
He looked past that to see the buildings that eclipsed the airway and the vehicles. It was apartment block seventy-seven thousand, out of one billion to be built and have LED lights installed, lights emitting pink and purple lights into the darkening city.
He walked towards the small black taximeter, pressing the nearest taxi option, with his requested taxi hovering down to his location almost immediately.
Getting in, the taxi doors close as it hovers above the ground and into the sky, beginning its journey to City 12.
He looked out the window while shaking his umbrella and closing it, watching the buildings and lights flicker past him as he entered the dry lakes that separated the cities. The way it stopped so suddenly was almost like drawing a line in the sand, telling someone where to stop.
He continued watching the rain in the backseat until they exited the rainstorm into the uninterrupted sun.
The dry lake ends after ten minutes as a single house flickered by, then another and another.
The taxi entered the city, home of the fleet of TBOPs. They looked enormous when the landing site was two thousand miles down as the taxi descended to the road below.
After landing, he gets out of the taxi, checking if he had left anything, but he didn't. The taxi closes its doors, taking off into the never-ending blue sky. He walked into his apartment block and made a left to the elevators.
He waited patiently for the auto elevator to arrive.
PNK Sorority house
In the massive bedroom of the house, the sorority president of PNK, Mary Davis slowly opened her eyes.
She turned in her bed to look at the time on her bedside table and saw the time read eight o'clock in the morning, her eyes turned pure red as she realized that class started in thirty minutes.
"Shit, Shit, Shit!" she shouted as she got dressed in a hurry and got ready to start the day.
She then bolted down the steps and into the kitchen, not noticing that her ladies were gone. She was getting her breakfast ready before the house phone rang, she picked it up without bothering to think who it was.
"Hello?"
"Mary, listen to me right now," the chilling but deep voice of Worthington II speaks on the other end.
"Oh, Mr Worthington,"
"Don't leave your house at all for the next few hours,"
"Why?"
He covers the phone to think over the words he would tell her. He decided to tell her a watered-down truth, so as to not make her more frightened about the reality of the situation.
"A human adult is on university grounds,"
"Could you say that again," she asks.
"A human adult is on the university grounds,"
She hangs up the phone to silently think, weeping to think that this human had contaminated her friends, she then picks up the phone and contacts Johnny again.
He answers the phone and she asks, with sadness present in her voice, if he saw any of her friends when he saw this human.
"Shirley saw them walking to the cafeteria, but I-" he tells her before the phone cuts out.
Both of them try to call each other again, but the lines within the university were dead.
Worthington Manor
The house phone rings are overheard from upstairs as Johnny Worthington I slowly got out of bed and walked down the steps to the kitchen area.
"Hello?" he answers with the best impression of an awake voice.
He listened intently as his son on the other end, talk about how there were humans in the monster world, but the voice on the other end sounded degraded.
"Son, I can't understand what you are trying to say, the audio is bad,"
His son then tells him to write everything down on a notepad, he repeats everything he had told at a slower rate which allows his father to write everything down.
He is then asked to turn on the tv to see if the news had reported anything out of the ordinary.
He turns the TV on and sees the news reporting about something that had landed a few yards from Monsters University.
Then someone yells in the newsroom that they have lost contact with the university president.
He lets go of the phone as he sees the situation unfolding before him, he tries to keep his mouth shut with the newsroom keeps getting flooded with updates every minute.
"Dad? Dad!!"
"Ladies and gentle monsters, as much as I wished this was science fiction, It's not. Viewers at home. We are witnessing an invasion from outer space," says the elderly news anchor.
#1,781,986 apartment
The bedroom was silent except for the quiet snores of its inhabitant before the telephone went off, waking the shirtless male in surprise and causing him to fall off his bed.
He groans as he crawls back into his bed and then over to the phone on the side, he reaches for the phone a few times before getting it and picking it up.
"Hello?" he asks, wiping his eyes.
"Is this 1,781,986?" asks #1
#1,781,986 jolts awake.
"Hello, sir," he says in a good enough awake voice.
"I have a job for you," he says.
"What is it?" he asks as he sits down on the bed.
"The remains of the golden empire are on this new planet that we're still researching. We want you to see what it is and take out the empire in the process." He reports
"Ok, Mr. 1," #1,781,986 confirms.
"Bring someone with you because it's suicide if you don't," he adds on, #1,781,986 pauses, remembering one of his friends who had a personal hatred for the golden empire.
"You go find your buddy," he says.
"Ok, sir," says #1,781,986 as he hangs up the phone, he puts on his black business shirt and he fixes the waist of his jeans while smoothing down the creases.
He goes into his wardrobe and gets out a black blazer and tie, he puts them on and walks to his suit, the TTK Mk VIII.
It opens up, and he steps inside. The armour closes around his body except for his head, he walks to the desk where he had put his helmet, he grabs it and puts it on.
Hardscrabble Manor, 7:09 PM
"It has been confirmed to the Monstropolis horn that these outer space aliens called the golden empire want our planet in return for the hostages. This offer has been denied," Says the newscaster.
As the family of three sat down at the dinner table, the parents were concerned like all old monsters were because they believed that the golden empire could be anywhere or anybody but their daughter, a dragon-crossed centipede wearing all black winter attire as she ate her dinner, showing a facade of being unconcerned about the situation.
In the back of her mind, she was concerned if this was going to last long as those human hostage situations.
She was to start Uni in late August. She wanted to show what she had learned from privately studying for the last two years to show her father that she was ready to be a scarer which her father scoffed at.
After finishing her dinner, she went upstairs to read more on scaring while her parents continued to watch the news.
She went by old photos of the Hardscrabble lineage going from her great-great-grandfather, stopping to look at a photo of her as a little child and her parents. She was happy alongside with her mother while her father tried his best to hide his discomfort.
She was too young to understand what was happening, when she was playing with other kids or sleeping. Her father and mother hated each other, and her father hated her as she was the wrong child.
She only learned when she was sixteen about why the marriage happened in the first place, both families' desire to create the scariest monster in history.
Switching on the light to her room as she entered it, she pulled up her specially designed chair and perched at her study desk with a book about the science of scaring vol. IV on the desk, going to where she left off, on page two hundred and twenty-three.
Hours go by as she reads on expert knowledge of scaring while taking notes simultaneously, she was shuffling up the papers into a neat pile before going to bed before she received a knock on the door.
"Come in," she says. The door opens to her mother, Josie Hardscrabble.
"There you are," her mother responds as she shuts the bedroom door.
"What do you want?" Abigail asks.
"We've got an elite thing tomorrow. You have to come with us," Josie tells her daughter as she towers over her. Abigail sighs with anger as she hates hearing that she has attended something that didn't mean anything to her just yet.
"Do I have to?" she asks, disappointed.
"It's only two hours. I know you find it boring. I find it boring as well," Josie tells her, looking down in disappointment as she had to go to the meeting regardless if victoria's branch of friends planned anything last minute. Josie sees her daughter's disdain.
"You might meet someone," she adds.
Abigail hears that. A sad expression on her face emerged as her mother was talking about how she could meet someone she would be interested in.
Most of the elite were older than her by decades or centuries and she wasn't interested in any dating as she found it a waste of time.
"Mum, mostly everyone I have met besides Victoria and her group of friends, have been forced to stay away because of my relation to him, it comes to a point when you have to stop socializing with others," she says to Josie about her father.
"Abbi, don't let him stop you. You think that males act like your father. They don't. My high school boy-" Josie replied before being cut off by her daughter.
"friend treated you like the world, and you would have married him if your parents hadn't forced you to marry dad," she says
"Doesn't mean that you could find someone like you," her mother tells her.
"Goodnight," she says before planting a small kiss on her daughter's forehead and leaving the room.
The Next Day, 8:00 AM, Waternoose II office
"It has been decided that not responding to demands laid out by this leader will be our preferred message. We do not answer like dogs for our new extraterrestrial enemies. As we speak, hundreds of thousands of national guards are heading towards our alma mater to bring our students out."
"Students, if you are hopefully listening. We'll get you out of there," Henry Waternoose explains to the citizens of Monstropolis.
"Thanks for being smart for once," Charlie says to the TV projecting a live broadcast of Waternoose in his office.
"Sir, I got more photos," said the photographer out of breath as he ran from Monsters University to the office, avoiding getting beaten by other monsters who suspected he was one of those things in disguise as the police had already caught one of them in a supermarket, trying to pass off as an old monster.
He hands them over to Charlie.
The photos had been taken through gaps in the gates of the university. They showed absolutely nothing except for the build-up of snow and the big looming gates of Monsters University.
"Hmm, some are crap. We can make it seem that these things don't like clearing snow making them appear as lazy, but this one," says charlie says as he pulls the photo of the looming gates of Monsters University closed out of the pile.
"I like this one,"

Part I:
February 28th, Monsters University, ROR Fraternity House, 6:25 am
An alarm clock buzzes on a bedside table in a barely lit room, starting the day for the President of Roar Omega Roar, Johnny Worthington II. He groans and grunts as he rolls in his blankets and wakes up, before getting out of his double-sized bed. He walked to his wardrobe, opening the closet door to see his red and yellow sweater with the words "ROR" stitched into the fabric hanging up on a hanger.
Slowly sliding the sweater over his massive horns, he heard the rest of his fraternity waking up. He opens his bedroom door and walks down the narrow hallway to the stairs.
He walks down into the kitchen to get his breakfast, scorn flakes.
He pulls up a chair to eat.
As he ate. His right-hand man and best friend since childhood, Adrian Goff entered the kitchen.
"Morning,"
"Morning John-John," says Adrian, calling Johnny by his childhood nickname as he goes to the kitchen cabinet for breakfast.
Johnny keeps eating his breakfast, hearing the unmistakable noise of the university newspaper, the campus roar hitting the front door.
He thinks about the day ahead of him. He had a scare class till four and then a party at nine at the JOX house next door.
Finishing his breakfast, he walks upstairs into his bathroom.
Johnny then leaves his room, walks back downstairs, and leaves the house to begin his journey to where he would visit his girlfriend every morning before class.
He walks on the path with the little gaps in the pavement covered in snow. It hurt his paws as the ground felt like it was burning. Gardeners shovelled snow from the paths so students could get to class easier.
Recent snowfall had caused a problem yesterday as the snow had made walking seem like climbing Mt Everest. Tall students had become unofficial carriers as they had to carry their classmates out of the snow and to class.
Some university residents had taken the snow as a means to build snow monsters and have small-scale snowball fights in massive open areas of the university.
The steps of the dormitory hall were right in front of him as he walked up to the doors and felt the heat of the heater, set higher than usual as he opened the doors. Students were in the lounge area either doing homework or chatting with friends while enjoying a fresh cup of hot snotolate.
He walked down one of the several hallways and up the stairs to the third floor while receiving good mornings from inhabitants and responding in kind as he continued his journey to the third floor.
Reaching the third floor, he looked down the hallway, seeing his girlfriend since middle school talking to one of her many friends with one of them being the senior sorority president of Eta Hiss Hiss, Jane "Cracklin" Levin, along with other friends who were dating or used to date his friends.
Shirley was a monster of golden yellow fur. Her antlers were tall, ends spreading outwards like cacti with necklaces hanging from the ends.
She was relatively tall for her gender as she was the same height as Johnny without her antlers, but her antlers were higher than his horns which she teased him about rarely.
She glanced to her left and saw him.
"I got to go," she says to her friends, ending the conversation early.
As she walks to Johnny, he offers up his hand that she takes, and both walk out of the dormitory hall,  going to the cafeteria to get hot snotolate.
President of MU Office
The office was cold and dark as the elderly six-foot-two gray cephalopod male monster struggled to pull the plug-in heater as he had grown weary and could no longer pull things efficiently. He stopped pulling and started pushing it to a reasonable distance from his desk so the heat wouldn't be overwhelming for him.
He unwinded the wire, slithering his way to the port. He plugged in the heater to the power board, flicking the switch and the heat came out as it tried to out-battle the coldness in the room.
He slithered to his chair, feeling the hot air coming from the portable heater breathing onto him. He felt the hot coffee in his mouth as he drank it down.
Opening the letters of bills of the university power bills for the month and letters of students concerned about the snow and classes should be cancelled for the day. He read the letter and agreed with the points that the students had brought forward.
He had faith the gardeners would do their job over the day to make it at least good to travel, unlike yesterday.
Once he finished reading the letters and bills, he slithered up to the window in his office.
Seeing students walk on the cold concrete paths back to their residence in the dormitory hall or go to the cafeteria that would have been serving breakfast at the moment, he watched a group of people wearing pink making their way to the MU cafeteria.
He only knew who the group could be, PNK.
While mischievous as JOX. They were intelligent in the classroom, rivaling HSS and EEK in intelligence in the school of scaring. The goal of every female in the school of scaring was to become the first group of female scarers to join the three scaring companies of monstropolis if Vincent was ever going to have a change of heart anytime soon, he wasn't. Stated in his violent outburst last year, telling the audience that women were 'too emotional' to be scarers.
This had caused an international outcry from the female population of monsters as the legendary scarer was the person that had pushed back the idea of female scarers because of the pointless arguing point.
Monstropolis Horn HQ
The tall slim green-purple gecko lizard moved his lower right hand across the pieces of text paper across the paper, moving the cut-out text together like a jigsaw puzzle. The words read "MASSIVE SNOWSTORM LEAVES WEATHER EXPERTS PUZZLED" with a photo of a monster with six hands. Shovel in each hand, shoveling a road with Monsters Incorporated in the background, he looked at the small segment on the bottom right of the front page with "ASTRONOMY EXPERTS LEFT BAFFLED WITH RECENT SIGHTING OF UFOs!"
"Benedict!" Calls out Charlie Boggs to his right-hand man, he runs in, startling the CEO.
"What's with the wordplay for the newspaper?" He asks him, tapping his pointing finger on the plan for today's newspaper. Benedict looks down at the words on the paper.
"You wanted our papers to have these words that could entice the readers," Ben explains to his boss
"When?"
"About four days ago."
"And how much have we sold with our razzle-dazzle wordplay,"
He walks out of the office. Charlie put his four hands behind his back, watching the snow fall onto the paths below with monsters walking through the snow to get to work or back to their apartments with snow plowers coming through, moving the snow allowing cars to have a smooth ride to work.
Monsters University
Johnny and Shirley walked out of the cafeteria with medium-sized cups of hot snotolate with eyeballs. Johnny listened to his girlfriend speaking about gossip going around the university. It was either about what drama had occurred this time or what embarrassing thing JOX did. He saw that snow had built up on her horns, putting his hand forward, brushing the snow out of her antlers.
"Honey," she giggles as she feels his hand brushing the built-up snow out of her antlers.
"Are you coming tonight?" He asks her, removing his hand from her antlers.
"Yes, like always," she says as the two walk back to the dormitories. The two were about to head into the dormitories when Johnny looked out at the snowy courtyard.
He sees something coming out behind the scaring school.
A slim figure walking like the physique of a human, he continued to watch the figure walk, like a predator stalking its prey from afar. The figure was in something gray with slashes of gold on it. He then sees the face of this slim figure through the falling snow.
Any monster's worst fear realized, a human.
He thought. The alarms at the door lab would have gone off to alert everyone.
"Johnny," she asks before seeing the lean figure bending down to pick up a piece of snow. The figure then looks outwards to the entire University, looking through his brownish-colored hair as felt the snowflakes falling into it.
He grabs the hilt of his sword on his belt and pushes a button on it, retracting its metal blade.
Johnny snaps out of his shocked state.
"I guess that party isn't happening tonight," she says, his grip on her hand getting tighter.
"Nope," Both run back to the fraternity house in fear. Meldani watched them run away as his tired army of three hundred came out of the forest with gray swallowing the whiteness of the snow.
One soldier tiredly raises his rifle to shoot the fleeing students but is told to stand down by the figure.
Meldani then flips his sword out to the open area. The small army sprinted forward to start setting up a fortress so no one outside the university could see what they were doing.
The lean figure then goes up the limestone stairs towards the entrance of the scaring school, hearing the screaming of the residents of the planet as people were shot and killed either on sight or running away. He pushed the heavy black doors open as his boots echoed across the stone floor of the building, he sees a door at the top of the stairs.
The room label read A113 as he pushed the door open, allowing light into the darkness of the classroom.
Meldani smiled with a shit-eating grin and began walking down the steps. Seeing that the planet had developed, that was perfect for him to take.
He was, however. Unaware of a tracker deep under the metal attached to his shoulder. The tracker that was sending its signal back to who inserted it in.
D 1, Planet 2, City #7, I.S.Y.B building
A single black dot appeared on the massive white screen, giving the I.S.Y.B the location of the remaining GE members; they had stopped at an undiscovered planet in D 321,986.
"Alright, you stopped," #236,567,060 said to himself. He picked up the phone on his desk and dialled the supervisor.
"Mr. W, he stopped at D 321,986. Landing was at 1017, our time."
