✨️My dumb bugsnax continuance idea✨️

So basically it takes place a year or 2 after the main story of bugsnax. Filbo is mayor, The Journalist is his assistant, Floofty is a professor, all that jazz. The real bit starts on one random day where Filbos going out to give a mayoral speech or smth that mayor's do, when The Journalist (who is also there just off stage) notices something moving in the distance along the water. Journalist uses binoculars to look at the mysterious object and discovers its snacktooth Island (*gasp*). So the Journalist notifies filbo of it and they both run to the beach to get a better look. After assessing the situation, Filbo realizes the island is gonna hit the beach so he bars the area off with his mayor resources. A couple days later the island lands on the beach as expected, connecting itself to the mainland. Journalist brings up the idea of a search team to explore the island with them leading it and they do go ahead and search the island after approval (and a kiss to the Journalist) from Filbo. Investigating insues, and eventually the search team finds Liz and Egg in some cave on the island. The lesbians are confused how they got there so the Journalist tells them about the island moving, they say they didn't notice. The squad gets Liz and Egg off the island.

Now this is where it branches paths. The island either

Departs from the mainland and drifts off into the sea

Stays connected to the mainland but with no bugsnax threat

Or, stays connected to the mainland and starts making bugsnax pop up all over the city, leading into Bugsnax 2
