I found you on AO3 right before Hiraeth finished and I loved your writing so much. I've been reading all of your fics, and even though I've enjoyed them all, I feel like they just keep getting better and better. Hustle is easily one of my favorite fics rn and I am always so excited when a new chapter is dropped!!!

I just wanted to thank you for sharing your beautiful writing and especially for writing Astarion as both serious/bitchy but also so soft (and lowkey silly sometimes) deep down.

“Halsin!” 

Gale watches as Astarion skips over and throws himself at his boyfriend.

Halsin is absurdly big. Just, really, unreasonably large. His arms wrap around Astarion’s waist and lift him easily.

“Good gods,” Jen breathes. “I would climb him like a tree…”

“Jenevelle!”

“Don’t full-name me, Gale. Look at him!”

“I am looking at him,” Gale folds his arms, eyes narrowed. “I don’t like him.”

“Based on what!?”

“He’s too big.”

Jen snorts into her cocktail. “For what?”

“He’s too old for Astarion, don’t you think? It’s grotesque.”

“I don’t know… he doesn’t look that much older than us…”

They stand and watch as Astarion and Halsin begin voraciously making out. The man still hasn’t put Astarion down.

Jen sighs, tearing her eyes away from the giant. “I meant what I said just now, you know. I love you for making that video. It's worked wonders for this event: not a single invitation decline. Thank you for putting up with the prick and getting it done.”

“The prick?” Gale looks at her questioningly.

“Astarion,” she mocks the designer’s plummy voice. “Pretty, but, Shar, what an attitude.”

“He's not so bad when you get to know him,” Gale murmurs, watching sadly as Halsin gently sets Astarion down, enveloping him in a warm hug. The designer looks a little surprised at first, but then he leans into the embrace, closing his eyes. He seems happy. Good for him.

In his peripheral vision, Gale can see Jen looking at him. “Oh, Gale…”

“What?”

“Gale, Gale, Gale…” She shakes her head, tutting. 

“What!?”

“You like him, don’t you?”
