I think, out of all the female characters in Saint Seiya, Shunrei is the only one that I would oppose to become a Saint

Shunrei is one of the few characters that stops and say "no, kids shouldn't be the ones that have to fight to save the world, it's unjust"

She doesn't oppose Shiryu going to war because he's going alone and she fantasizes to go with him, she opposes because she loves him, and she knows that Shiryu is fucking 14 and he shouldn't have to fight at all!

She goes as far as to fight with Dohko, their adopted dad, because she smells bullshit and is enraged enough to say it to his face. And she's right

She's a completely different breed of pacifist that Shun, one that I don't think can be reconciled with her becoming a warrior without changing her entire personality

Plus, Shunrei being a normal chick is also why Shiryu is still fighting! She represents the promise that Shiryu has a life outside of being a warrior! That when the dust settles he will rest and have a peaceful boring life with the girl he loves!

Shunrei is Shiryu's ties with normalcy and I don't like how easily people throw that out of the window because they think the only correct way for a female character to exist is for her to be a warrior

I didn't want to disrespect Syd, but the fact that it's confirmed that Syd isn't that good at fighting and his victories are attributed to a secret twin he didn't even know he had is just...

Do you think... that when Syd got stuck in video games as a kid... Alcor would like, secretly unplug Syd's controller and plug his own in to beat the level???

Do you think that every time Syd tries to flip an omelet, Alcor intervenes to make sure Syd doesn't fuck it up?

It's equal parts hilarious and sad to me because Syd never got a chance to be genuinely good at anything in his life.

I made a post about this a long time ago about how Ikki himself doesn't step in unless he knows Shun can't win on his own.

This is what Shun would be if Ikki were a helicopter brother the way Alcor is.

This is a bit of a random opinion but I see a lot of people tend to make Shun an introvert (took personalitydatabase as a main base) and while I agree he was really shy as a child he was really confident and more of an extravert in the show ? Especially in the first arc, I really don't see him as a shy guy he's just not really always excited like Seiya but I feel like he likes company way better than being alone in his corner... He's giving that guy who sits with you at lunch when he sees you're all alone and tries to talk idk, just a chill extravert !!

My first live triangle, a MFM fanficton made by the talented and personal friend @nimadimio and the beautiful @nikesinspo that supports every topic from this beautiful Love triangle.

Saga is the most complex and yet simple character I’ve known and yet every ship he is into it works, and this was no exception, he is sweet and cares about every detail in this relationship that gives everything so it works. Kanon just loves Saga so much but the sparkle on his life is Victoria. He would die for her and by her. My sweet goddess Nike, reincarnated and named Victoria I mean… that sweet girl, made the most powerful and vindictive Saints letting their guard down, kissing (literally) the floor she walks on, you would fall for her too. And their classic spinoff and the modern ff they have, people this is a must I can’t wait for this to have more. ✨

And the second one and most beloved by any one I’ve known on the Saint Seiya fandom.

This is pure love in all the extension of the phrase, beautiful, pure, a love that I imagine it grows day by day. I love to mix the classic with the modern and by the Gods I swear this is how I imagine they are living, taking care of each other, loving and obsessing with each other all day, every day forever.
