This is not a sports website but I wish it was more of one if only for the art part of it.

Because anyone CAN take a picture of a kid playing baseball. My mom definitely took pictures of her kids playing soccer.

But the way a good action photographer can both capture and frame kinetic energy in a still frame is amazing.

I am such a nerd for that kind of art. And I want more people to understand how COOL it is.

I would not thrive in a company that was doing weekly competitions of work. I also definitely need feed back that's not coming out of my own head.

Needing outside feed back is normal. We tend to be harsher on ourselves than we are on other people. It makes so much since to want feed back you're not getting at work. And because of the nature of your sports pictures you can't show the internet and we can't tell you how great they are. But based on your dance photography I am sure you've made the kids in the pictures and their parents very happy when they see those photos in the yearbooks.

Action photography is very much a combination of skill and luck.

Your photography very much reflects your knowledge of both photography and dance and that's a lot of what makes it good. And yes some luck is involved but that doesn't negate your skills.
