Is it wrong to be upset when people say they can tell you’re autistic?

Today my friend and I were talking and I made a joke about questioning if I’m Autistic (I cannot afford to be diagnosed, but have done a lot of research and I self diagnosed as autistic, maybe more on that later) and they said they knew I was autistic from when we first met.

I get this a lot and I also get people who say I am obviously asexual from when we first met

Is this a bad thing?

I try really hard to mask so when people say they knew I was autistic even before getting to know me really upsets me because then I don’t think I’m masking enough

Not to be rude, but there are many negative traits associated with being autistic and asexual. I feel like I hide those stereotypes and try really hard to seem like a normal allosexual human, but it doesn’t seem to work. Does anyone else feel this?
