the more i think about it tbh the sadder i get about sword af being audio only. it's lwk a waste of smosh's time and energy to film and edit something that's only audio. like are they just sitting and recording mics only? or are they literally gonna edit together the footage and cut out the video? i would've been happy if it was five of them on a zoom call with the shittest visuals ever if it meant we could see the sillies being silly.

While I, Personally, am a big fan of podcasts and audio-only storytelling, A lot of the comments here make very good points about the decision to make it a podcast. A lot of people watch SAF for the reactions and dynamics between the cast, and that may translate a little more difficult through only audio. Also, it makes it extremely difficult for deaf/HoH people to engage with the series, as well as people with audio processing issues. I hope they release transcripts of it, although I doubt they will.

This was obviously a budget decision. They wanted a way to carry on with sword AF without taking up a slot on the Games Channel, which I understand. I hope that, with the majority questionable feedback they recieved from this decision, the Games team gives us a little more insight as to why they switched mediums.
