Shadows!Verse Bad End aftermath.

Shattered is alone because he thinks himself a monster and refuses to go home to Nightmare and Co. He often visits Cross's memorial grave in the mountains. He blames himself so much more than he should for Cross's death.

Shattered in this au is very unstable emotionally most of the time and snaps easily. He nearly hurt his brother when he shattered and has refused to go home aside from stealing the sweater, scarf and guitar while everyone slept.

He doesn't have to be alone but his fear of hurting anyone else keeps him away.

Also cross took him on even at his worst so his death hurts Shattered even more so.

Shadows!verse Bad Ending.

This is an extra scene from the bad ending for my ongoing fic Shadows

This ending has Dream shattered after Cross dies fighting some violent yetis. No apple just built up negativity that boiled over after decades of simmering.

The guitar was Cross's, and he's playing Take Me To Church, which is the first song he ever heard Cross play. Song included below.

Ever accidentally put red in with white clothes?

3-year-old Rosanne found red socks on the floor of the House's laundry room and put them in proud of herself for helping with laundry.

Needless to say after this the laundry room was kept locked.

Are Cross and Terror being extra dramatic? Yes.

Shattered ad OG Cross are just friends in my AU while he and Terror are engaged. Yes, Terror is taller than Shattered.

This is a MUCH darker take on the AU.

I personally prefer a darker reason for Dream eating the apple. Either that or baby boy has WAY too much pent-up negativity and SNAPS. (I am evil and no I'm not sorry. Dream is a fun character to experiment with).

Shade needed his family and said family was not there for him. Desperation and fear drove him to do the unthinkable. To willingly SHATTER himself. Alone, afraid and out of options he ate the apple.

To the fans of my fell poth series! I'm planning to rewrite the series to make a bit more sense to the canon of my AU of Taleverse and blend into the continuity of my other Error/Ink fic Threads of the Multiverse. While elements remain like cupcake being adopted and his parents being jailed for life in Limbo others will change as I've fleshed out Taleverse a bit more. Finally finished Good Omens 2. The ending though...like I'm happy for Aziraphale but aaaaaaa 😭😭😭😭.

You know, an interesting tumblr transformation that's happened gradually, and which I've seen no one talk about: ask-culture has essentially dropped off to nothing.

By which I mean, asks used to be WAY more of the tumblr economy. They used to be more common to send, and receive, and see. They were integral to the collaborative, forum-like behavior of old tumblr communities, not even to speak on the HUGE number of ask-blogs that used to exist to only be interacted with in ask-form.

I'm not saying this in a vying-for-attention way but instead in an observational way: I used to get way way more asks in like 2015, even with a fraction of my follower count. I wonder if it's due to the homogenization of social media sites? There's a lot more of this divide between "content creator" and "consumer" instead of just a bunch of peer blogs who would talk to each other. "Asks" aren't really a thing on twitter, are they? And as I understand it, the closest thing to an "ask" on instagram or tiktok would be a creator screenshotting some comment and responding to it in a new reel or video or whatever those content mediums are. Are asks just too tumblr-specific? Is that aspect of the site culture dying out as more and more people converge to using all their social media sites in the same way?
