So y'all know how in the beginning of tsc Wymack offers Jean scotch, and he says Ravens don't drink (well, specifically, aren't allowed to drink)? And Kevin famously overdoes it with the drinking? And Wymack's mother, at least, had an issue with substance abuse? So do we think Wymack was the first one to offer Kevin alcohol, and how do we think he felt about Kevin's obvious issues with alcohol when he found out that Kevin is his son, knowing that addiction can be hereditary 🤥🤥🤥

okay but can we collectively think about jeremy getting red-carded because someone tries to hurt jean during a match and jeremy goes FERAL to protect our bestest french emo boy?

just... just picture it. jean going out of his way to avoid confrontation even though the other team's striker is being particularly nasty and harsh and verbally abusive. all coaches are worried jean is gonna snap. but IT IS NOT jean who snaps, but jeremy, who runs to the other side of the court and pushes the striker with all his might until they're both fighting on the ground all fists.

jean is left gaping.

The change between book one and three on how Neil reacts to an angry Wymack is something I think about often. He used to calculate the distance between the two of them to make sure he was just out of arms reach, just in case he got angry, and now he knows that if Wymack is truly angry, it will not be at them. And he doesn’t flinch.

Fourth year at Palemtto Andrew is listening to Neil grumble about a sociology paper he needs to write for a humanities credit. The assignment itself doesn't sound too difficult, something about tradesmen and social life, but as Neil's only true love is exy (and allegedly Andrew, but thats under review), he's having fun making it seem like a bigger chore than it is.

"Ugh, whatever," Neil finally says. "I'll just do it about truck drivers. I've still got the interview notes somewhere."

Andrew grades a brow. "When the hell did you interview truck drivers?"
