Our internal thermostat is a powerful thing. It keeps us in a set range, a range of our own ( often unconscious) choosing. Unconsciously, I have sabotaged myself so often, across all aspects of my life and still do to this day. ( I'll do it more times in the future too, I'm slow at change) But here's the things... One of the things I've noticed is that life has a way of eroding our thermostat's "set points." We can start to settle for lower floors and lower ceilings. Relationships and jobs can chip away at our sense of self-worth. We settle for less, but it creates a pattern that costs us big time over our life. So re-set your thermostat and deal with the temporary discomforts. It will raise the quality of your life. As a wise mentor of mine once said to me in one of my many periods of self-doubt... Someone will do it... so why not you? I'm going to throw that right back out at you... Whatever it is that you truly want most in the world, that thing that you bury deep down because you are afraid that it is simply too big and that you are not worth it...
