Ineffable Con (panel recap)

Here is the tale of Mineffability’s adventure at the Ineffable Con, on Saturday 19th of October, provided by the amazing @marveldevil

The day of our panel at the Ineffable Con finally came and went just as quickly. The panel went great! In the beginning we had some issues due to older tech and cables not wanting to work properly, but after a quickly improvised Joke round. (Thrown in as a suggestion by me, Jane, because I had to check the cables in the last minute) we were off and showed our first act! 

 I had never seen it before, to be quite honest. I couldn't get myself to watch it, because I wanted to see it with fresh eyes, just like everyone else at the panel, and honestly? I loved it! I laughed out loud multiple times and the only moments that I could possibly complain about are the ones with my face, all the others were glorious! 

After the act, we showed everyone our buttons (that you can order by contacting @marveldevil on tumblr or @justthingstbh on twitter; designs by @kaninchenfront) and waited for questions, but when the crowd didn't have any, we showed our bloopers and said our goodbyes. 

It was a wonderful experience and I would do it all over again. Thank you all for making this project possible and don't forget, you can still join if you want to! We always have an open slot for someone to work or help! Have a wonderful day!

Hello everyone, we have great news today!!

Act 1 is DONE, right on time for the ineffable con!! 

We still have some things to improve, but we have our first cut, with music and subtitles! We’re all very proud and can’t wait to show it to you! :)

The Ineffable Con is in three days!! Don’t forget to come see our first act 1 and discuss the project with us at 3.3.pm on Saturday :D

What is this project?

Much Ado About Ineffability is a fan-made crossover project. We are currently adapting Good Omens as Much Ado About Nothing. It is also an international project, and we’re glad to have people from all around the world!

How can it be an international project?

Thanks to the editing magic, we are able to have actors in the same scene who comes from different continents. In the future, we’d like to be able to get some actors together for some scenes.

How can I get involved?

Reblog and talk about our project, share it where you can. Spread the word out! If you want to join our discord server, you can also message us. (We’re on Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr)

I don’t know how to act… what can I do?

It’s fine, there are tons of different roles! Well, there’s a lot of stuff going on and we need help in front of the camera as well as behind the scenes. We can always use help. You’re good with words? Maybe join our text editing team! You love acting? Be part of the cast! Camerawork, directing and/or post production are your thing? Join the technicians! Organization is a passion of yours? Join the orga team! Advertising is your cup of tea? Get some people on board! You can also join us as a moral supporter! Don’t know how to help? The plan is that each act gets a new set of actors! You can audition even if you haven’t been an actor before, and you can too if you have been.

Update, D-6 (Ineffable Con)

Hello everyone!

We now officially have our first cut of Act 1! It’s 22 minutes long, and we’re very proud and impatient to show it!

The Ineffable Con is in less than a week, and we’re working hard to have a better product by then. Our editors are still working on subtitles and a few details, and our composers on music, but it’s looking extremely good so far.

Everyone’s stressed, but also happy to see the project progressing, and eager to be able to show what we have been working on. 

Stay tuned for a final update before the Con. And if you’re coming to the con, a reminder that we have a panel at 3.30 pm on Saturday, 19th! Come discover our project, watch our first act, and discuss with some actors and part of our amazing crew!

Hi folks, we come bearing great news, and a few updates! 

To start with, we are very excited to see that the Ineffable Con is in less than three weeks! A reminder that our panel will take place at 3.30pm on Saturday, the 19th (of October). We will present our project, show what we have worked on so far, and take your questions.

Much Ado About Ineffability is a fanmade project. We are putting up together a crossover of Much Ado About Nothing and Good Omens!

Concerning our project, we have our full cast for Act 1, and everyone has finished filming and sent their files in. We will do a cast and crew presentation post soon, but if you're curious, you can already head over to our instagram page (@ muchadoaboutineffability ) where we are introducing you to everyone! 

Editing started, and we will post updates of our progress, especially as the Ineffable Con comes closer.

At one point, he and Burbage and the rest of the company went around spreading rumors that they were in love with each other, and Crowley and Aziraphale, dumbass thots they are, reacted like complete idiots

David Tennant, Shakespeare, and Crowley

Alright, so David Tennant plays Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing. And that play is a comedy, right?

And in Good Omens, when Crowley and Aziraphale are at Hamlet (another play David Tennant has played a major role) Crowley complains that it's a tragedy, and that's the reason, as he points out to Aziraphale, that the play is a flop. Well, we know what happens, Crowley makes the play a success and Aziraphale gives him heart eyes.

Now, as I'm watching David Tennant's 2011 Much Ado About Nothing performance, it strikes me as to why Crowley would enjoy Shakespeare's comedies much more. After all, in a loose form, Crowley is much like Benedick himself, and that common trope/headcanon/actual canon that the Good Omens fandom has, is that, from Aziraphale's point of view, Crowley is a demon and can't feel love.

(This comes into play with headcanons as people write Crowley as repressing his feelings because he's a demon, and knows that he'll get in trouble/can't act on those feelings)

However, in Much Ado About Nothing, Benedick swears up and down he's going to live the life of a bachelor, never fall in love, marriage is a trap, ew feelings.

And I have this kind of headcanon forming myself, that that's how Crowley tells himself for millennia about his feelings for Aziraphale. For any number of reasons, Crowley can't explicitly show/say to Aziraphale his love.
