How to be CONFIDENT According to the Internet

I read articles on the internet this morning instead of making art or working on videos or doing homework or looking for internships. 

Mostly I was looking for “scientifically proven ways to increase confidence” as I have identified the root of my procrastination- it’s being scared of failure, because failure sucks.

Yep. There’s some next level irony there. ^

Can the internet solve all our problems? I teach myself everything I need from YouTube and Googling. So, why not?

First, I’m supposed to exercise. I guess. So I made a playlist of Confidence Rap on Spotify and vowed to finally go to Black Metal Yoga (but not tonight- band practice (convenient)).

Then I’m supposed to “dress well” and “be clean”. This includes things like flossing and showering. Sigh. Fine. brb

So, then I’m supposed to squash my negative thoughts like a bug. OK. hmmm... 

I got it. Every time I need to turn my internal frown upside down, I’ll distract myself by making (and updating) a Twitter Oprah-esque Dream Board (TM). Hopefully, the time spent making Dream Boards on Twitter will net an increase in positivity ita-> productivity by lessening the hours spent trembling on the couch in terror while watching cartoons.

Supposedly being good at something makes you confident, but you can’t be good at something until you practice a ton. But... how do you have enough confidence to keep practicing if you’re not good enough to have confidence? Know what I mean?

I took two Tae Kwan Do lessons once. I fell down in front of everyone, and I got unreasonably sweaty so I quit. Obviously this is a problem that requires more thought. And therapy.

Finally, I guess I just have to smile all day and occasionally hold my arms up in the air. 

OK. If you say so.
