How to deal with blogs that don't belong in coquette tags
Hi dears! I am making this a stand-alone shareable post, and will be adding it to my pinned blog info as well.
Unfortunately if you peruse the tags associated with coquette you may run into blogs that aestheticize trauma (traumacore,) blogs that promote and/or aestheticize eating disorders (ED blogs,) or blogs that promote and/or aestheticize unsafe relationships (Illegal age gap relationships / pro-pedophilia blogs.) We all know these do not reflect coquette and do not belong in the tags.
Some blogs, like the ones that lean more traumacore or are adults cross tagging kink content I recommend simply blocking. Many people in these categories will respond to a respectful message along the lines of "Hi! Please don't tag x content with "coquette" or associated tags. It is an aesthetic fashion tag that has high minor traffic. Thanks!" with an apology and not continue to do so. You never have to do this, you are free of course to simply block people. It's your space online and your time.
For blogs that promote unsafe or illegal behavior I recommend reporting and then blocking. It it not worth messaging, this usually results in no response or very aggressive responses. This is an easy guide to how to effectively report accounts.
ED/SH BLOGS
-> Report a specific post
-> Select Report something else
-> Select Suicide or self-harm concern
-> Select No to Is this user threatening suicide?
-> This will bring you to the final report page, in the box for your name write "ED BLOG DELETE" or something else similar
-> Block user!
PEDO/MAP/ETC. BLOGS
-> Report a specific post
-> Select Report something else
-> Select Harm to minors
-> Select Is the content you are reporting suspected child sexual abuse material? EVEN IF IT IS NOT EXPLICIT because..
-> This brings you to the report page where there is a box for explanation.
Be as detailed as necessary. Things to include if seen:
"This user is underage soliciting sexual contact with adults"
"This user is an adult soliciting sexual contact with minors"
"Account uses the tags #mapfriendly / #333n (teen)" etc.
"User states their age is 10+5 / 51 reversed (This means 15)"
"User describes x thing in blog posts" (include description of illegal things)
"User states they are underage and posts sexual images of themselves"
"User is an adult and shares / reposts sexual images of users stating they are minors"
I usually write please terminate blog as the last part off the description and Delete Blog in the name slot. This seems to work 98% of the time.
It sucks ass that we have to protect ourselves in this way, but we're stronger in community!! Feel free to reach out if you need support or have q's. Please feel free to add more tips or ideas in the comments!
♡ I have nothing interesting to post rn bc I'm busy with college/working on my Patreon so I thought about posting my full body references for Naoya and Ema.
Naoya's design looks so fucking boring besides Ema's design, but that's the point, office workers aren't supposed to be fashionable, lol.
