​Getting in the way of an 88 tonne freight train going 300mph would be suicide and so with the gargantuan force and momentum MECHAGEN has amassed it’d be unthinkable to get in his way but we did manage to build up enough speed to ride along side his prolifically unstoppable Electronic Dance Music flow for a few seconds to find out exactly what mindbogglingly cool songs he’s been pumping out recently on his journey to bass music super-stardom.

After a wildly successful Electronic Music Conference attendance in Sydney Australia in December 2015 (EMC2015) where MECHAGEN announced the release of two new albums and a world first of the entire Blacklight Voodoo Publishing catalogue in the spectacularly crisp, clear and punchy High Resolution DSD (Direct Stream Digital) format.

Industry Executives quickly took notice of MECHAGEN’s uncanny ability to innovate and think outside of the box when he impressed former New York A&R of RCA Mr. Paul Marks, who interviewed him about the two new albums ‘Androids Twerk’ and 'iClone Troll’ and the profound impact His Hi Res DSD offering is having with consumers who’ll settle for nothing less than the state of the art, best quality sound. In 2016 We’d be remit with saying the good news ended there because it doesn’t, the super-futuristic vibes just keep coming with MECHAGEN unbelievably releasing 4 x TEN track albums already (yes…4….F.O.U.R, Four!!!…that’s 40 original songs!)

The first in January 'Enter Virusnet’ is a futuristic funky Techno odyssey into our young philosophers mind of humor and macabre. The second in February entitled 'Lizard Face’ an irresistibly groovy, headbanging raucous Dubstep medley of raw analog synth sound design, catchy hooks and teeth shattering tight drums. The third album 'Cyberpunk Survivor’ announced in March at this years WMC (Miami Winter Music Conference) 2016 in Miami, Florida, U.S.A. has been spectacularly well received too, according to our new album sales figures which jumped up 34% over last year as listeners can’t seem to get enough of MECHAGEN’s satisfyingly original four-to-the-floor Techno sound evidently impacting listeners with some of the most hypnotically trance inducing neuro-techno music this side of the Milky Way.

Last but not least the most recent release,  fresh out the furnace, the fourth album this year, released today 30th April 2016 entitled 'Let’s Get Tantric’ we think is set to become a future underground Trap/Hip Hop classic with its mesmerizing sensual vibes, this LP is sure to swiftly arouse even the most frigid soul, MECHAGEN brings that passionate heat with melodically captivating top lines, distinctively addictive & dance-able foot-shuffling rhythms and -deep as an abyss- enough bass to quench even the most sub-woofer thirsty hardcore nightclub headbangers.

Judging by the response from the locals, Miami loves MECHAGEN too, and the feedback we received from industry executives and the attendees who’ve now discovered him and heard his music was overwhelmingly positive, we are overjoyed to say the least.

MECHAGEN caught a surprise on a number of occasions when fans recognized him in public. Ever patient and faithful in his artistic disciplines,  MECHAGEN has until now relied upon exclusively word of mouth for promotion, shying away from the internet hype machines, publicity and mainstream press, letting his authentically resonating work speak for itself.

“ I didn’t really think anyone new about me me here specifically, but I suppose with people and the internet the music really gets around huh?,  I guess I’m not so used to it yet hahaha, at the Starbucks in Lincoln Mall a fan stopped me for a photo and walking down Collins Ave on South Beach a fine young lady called out to me, shouting MECHAGEN from across the street for a pic, haha I was like wow, ok…so the music gets around huh?, I think I can handle this!”

Suffice to say in the very near future we think Miami will be seeing a lot more of MECHAGEN, adding;

“It was great to meet and connect with some really quality people, they’re so kind to me, they really treated me like royalty, I’m looking forward to developing these new relationships and working partnerships, I really see some constructive and exciting visions ahead.”

Speaking of Constructive…

A great wave of enthusiastically charged curiosity and interest has been sparked in the rapidly growing audience thanks to MECHAGEN’s tremendous productivity and because new inquiries about MECHAGEN have been coming in thick and fast, (truth be told it’s become a struggle to manage) and so -just in the nick of time- we have been rescued, so now we have a new Client Liaison Manager, please welcome Mr. Evan Beattie CPA to the Machine Generation team.

He will be directing your questions and deals to the relevant personnel whether you want a MECHAGEN remix for your artist/label, want to book MECHAGEN to DJ at your next event or have a licensing, sync or composition commission offer for your next film, video game or TV program he’s capable, willing and ready to assist you and direct you accordingly.

We spoke with Mr. Beattie about what he brings to the team, what excites him about working with MECHAGEN, and why he can’t wait to witness first hand what the future holds for this rapidly growing global phenomenon we know as MECHAGEN Machine Generation. Here’s what he had to say:

“I’m really excited to be working with MECHAGEN. I have known the artist  for several years now and have seen first-hand the dedication and commitment involved in producing His art and music. This art and music isn’t simply the product of interest or hobby but is the result of deep philosophical thought predicated upon years of research and a dedication to understanding. The time, commitment, energy and thought which goes into the creation of each track provides a depth of sound and quality unique to the industry, its because of this I’m excited to be involved in sharing this with others.  

Moving forward with what I know and feel, I see no limits to what MECHAGEN can achieve and where His music can be heard because his music transcends boarders and cultures, providing a universal sound for all to enjoy and embrace. 

Its my honor to bring my energy to the table, whilst I’m lacking any musical ability, my professional training and experience as a Certified Practicing Accountant sees value in my business and finance management and leadership skills. As the MECHAGEN team grows as we employ advertising and promotion we will require ever more advanced and sophisticated plans to capitalize on opportunities and ensure the MECHAGEN sensation is experience by all, this is something I believe we can do while we seek to recruit a dedicated manager.

My passion for and belief in the quality and depth of the music MECHAGEN produces keeps me motivated, driven and willing to stay committed to the cause.

Originally my interest in MECHAGEN began on a more personal level, knowing the man from his work as an advisor & consulting philosopher so on a deeper level, behind the artist, before knowing his musical product. In this way, because I see the depth in thought, precision, dedication and thirst for knowledge, understanding and wisdom revealed through the music and art he produces. 

MECHAGEN and I have always maintained a respectful and honest relationship allowing us to delve into aspects of philosophy and life others are often unwilling to venture. I love that despite our varied experiences & perspectives I am able to thoroughly enjoy his music and still interpret his product in a way that speaks to me uniquely on a more intimate personal level.  

Whilst the music MECHAGEN produces is nothing but quality, taking the listener on a journey with each track, I believe the true value of MECHAGEN is the man behind the artist.

MECHAGEN Machine Generation: Biography

When it comes to making things, MECHAGEN is a machine. Literally.

Short for Machine Generation, the Australian born EDM artist has constructed a one-man assembly line for producing futuristic sounds welded with mechanical undertones. Meticulously engineered and dexterously crafted, he’s the Nikola Tesla of electronic dance music. A time traveler from the year 8000AD, MECHAGEN’s musical arrival was announced on planet earth on the 21/12/2012 with his debut LP ‘Karmageddon’ since then he’s released 18 full length albums of robo-inspired dance tracks that dabble in Trap, Drum & Bass, Techno, and Dubstep. And people are starting to get really hooked on his deft innovations.

A self-taught computer hacker at 16, it’s no surprise that the Melbourne-based producer found his niche early on in electronic music. He explains,

“For me computer hacking is a process of bringing together different concepts and combining them to accomplish something constructive or remove destructive limitations. This translated really well to music and art because it equipped me with ways to learn an unusually broad repertoire of tools, techniques and styles, and bring them together to the dancefloor.”

The son of late Osibisa percussionist/bassist Spartacus R, MECHAGEN was inspired as a child by his international rock-star father and 80’s black culture.

Breakdancing at two years old, MECHAGEN was influenced by his mother, who was a visual artist that encouraged his creative development. After honing his hacking skills as a teen, he taught himself the ins-and-outs of audio engineering and how to read music. Upon completing his broadcast engineering degree, he was awarded a scholarship to study Music Sciences and Orchestration at Vienna University in Austria. He eventually found himself composing jingles in Dubai for international brands like Pampers, Adnoc Oil, and Jaguar Automotive, and later set up his own studio in London.

But a decade of scoring TV commercials grew tiresome. So he left London behind and moved back to Australia, where MECHAGEN as a moniker fully solidified in 2012. Establishing his own label, Blacklight Voodoo Publishing, he’s been able to distribute his music worldwide – and on his own terms.

A prolific producer whose discography grows by the month, MECHAGEN builds his tracks using hardware synths, mixed entirely in the analog domain. Irresistibly catchy, his colossal grooves are punchy, clean and fresh off the conveyor belt.

“At the core of my music there’s a message: by using the logic which came with the universe we can solve any problem. So follow the logic – that's the machine generation motto. I sincerely believe that it's everyone's responsibility to 'follow the logic' to its conclusion in the name of love and progress."
