Our subconscious programs come from the ways we had to cope with our environment as children. These programs are how we self soothed and met our own needs during times of stress, fear, or neglect. It can be difficult to act on the changes we know we need to make as adults if we haven’t addressed the underlying origin of the behavior which stems from the program. Unless we re-program our subconscious mind we will continue with patterns of self sabotage, perpetuating cycles of shame and the illusion of powerlessness. You can change! You can stick with it! But first you must address the subconscious program at the root of the issue.

THE WORD FOR 6/7
“I have made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I look upon a virgin?" Job 31:1
By making a covenant with his eyes, Job had drawn his line of defense around his heart by starting with his eyes. He had purposed and developed a conviction to guard his eyes from ever looking lustfully at a virgin. He knew his eyes could get him into trouble. He was guarding his soul by disciplining his eyes.
Psalm 101:3 "I will not set before my eyes on anything that is vile." We can choose which magazine to look at, or which TV show or movie to watch. David fell into adultery because he didn't turn away when he saw a woman bathing. He was not a weak man but he had a moment of weakness. Eventually, this relationship ruined his family, his children and later his country as well. David would have regretted saying, "If I had just obeyed this ONE VERSE, my life would have been different." When adultery walks in everything else that is worthwhile walks out.
You and I have a choice about where to focus our eyes. We may not be able to stop the first look, but we CAN stop the second or third look.
Today, let's make a covenant with our eyes like Job did, ask the Holy Spirit to help us in areas we are weak and repent of any addictions to pornography or other kinds of activities and preserve us and our family.

Samurai code of honour
The Samurai code of honour is commonly known as Bushido, which translates to "Way of the Warrior" in English. Bushido is a moral and ethical code followed by the samurai class in feudal Japan. While the specific details of Bushido may have varied over time and between different samurai clans, some key principles were generally upheld. These principles include:
Rectitude (Gi): This emphasizes moral and ethical correctness. Samurai were expected to act with integrity and make decisions based on a strong sense of justice.
Courage (Yū): Samurai were expected to exhibit bravery in the face of adversity and to confront danger without fear. This aspect of Bushido often emphasized the willingness to face death in battle.
Benevolence (Jin): Samurai were expected to show compassion and kindness towards others. They were encouraged to be generous, charitable, and to act in a humane manner.
Respect (Rei): This involves showing respect to others, especially to those in authority. Samurai were expected to be polite and to uphold social etiquette.
Honor (Makoto or Meiyo): Honor was considered of utmost importance. Samurai were expected to maintain their personal honor and the honor of their family and clan. They were prepared to commit seppuku (a form of ritual suicide) to regain lost honor or to avoid disgrace.
Loyalty (Chūgi): Samurai were expected to be loyal to their lord (daimyō) and to follow orders without question. Loyalty was a key aspect of the samurai's relationship with their feudal lord.
Self-Control (Jisei): Samurai were expected to exercise self-discipline and control over their emotions. They were to remain calm and composed even in challenging situations.
Filial Piety (Kō): This principle emphasized the importance of respecting and honoring one's parents and ancestors. It was considered a fundamental virtue in Japanese society.
Wisdom (Chi or Chie): Samurai were encouraged to seek knowledge and wisdom. This included both academic knowledge and practical wisdom gained through experience.
Tumblr media
The Bushido code served as a guide for samurai in their personal and professional lives. It was not a formal written code but was transmitted through oral tradition and written works. The exact interpretation and emphasis on each principle could vary among different samurai and regions in Japan.

A Wise Son, Speaking with Wisdom and Righteous People contrasted with Wicked People
1 A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son brings grief to his mother. 2 Treasures gained by wickedness produce no profit, but righteousness saves from death. 3 The Lord will not allow the righteous to starve, but he frustrates the greed of the wicked. 4 Lazy hands produce poverty, but hardworking hands bring riches. 5 Whoever gathers crops in summer is a sensible son. Whoever sleeps at harvest time is a disgraceful son.
Wise Words and Wise Ways
6 Blessings crown the head of a righteous person, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked. 7 To remember a righteous person is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot. 8 A wise heart accepts commands, but a babbling fool will be ruined. 9 Whoever walks with integrity walks safely, but whoever follows crooked ways will be found out. 10 Whoever winks at evil causes trouble, and a babbling fool will be ruined. 11 The mouth of a righteous person is a fountain of life, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked. 12 Hatred stirs up a quarrel, but love covers all sins. 13 Wisdom is found on the lips of a discerning person, but a rod is appropriate for the back of one who lacks sense. 14 Wise people store up knowledge, but the mouth of a stubborn fool brings ruin. 15 A rich person’s wealth is his strong city. Poverty is the ruin of poor people. 16 The work of a righteous person leads to life. The income of a wicked person leads to sin. 17 Whoever practices discipline is on the path to life, but whoever rejects a warning goes astray. 18 Whoever conceals hatred has lying lips, and whoever spreads gossip is a fool. 19 When there are many words, sin never stops, but a person who restrains his lips acts wisely. 20 The tongue of a righteous person is fine silver. The heart of a wicked person has little value. 21 The lips of a righteous person shepherd many, but stubborn fools die for lack of sense. 22 The blessing of the Lord makes a person wealthy, and he adds no sorrow to it. 23 Carrying out a wicked scheme is a game for the fool, but wisdom gives pleasure to a person with understanding.
Contrasts Between the Righteous and the Wicked
24 What the wicked person dreads will come upon him, but the Lord will grant what the righteous desire. 25 When the storm has passed, the wicked person is no more, but the righteous person has an everlasting foundation. 26 Like vinegar to the teeth and like smoke to the eyes, so is a lazy person to those who send him. 27 The fear of the Lord will add days to a person’s life, but the years of wicked people will be cut short. 28 The confident hope of the righteous is joy, but the ambitions of the wicked will perish. 29 The way of the Lord is a fortress for a person who has integrity, but it brings destruction for evildoers. 30 A righteous person will never be toppled, but wicked people will not dwell on earth. 31 The mouth of a righteous person produces the fruit of wisdom, but a perverse tongue will be cut off. 32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked produces depraved words. — Proverbs 10 | Evangelical Heritage Version (EHV) The Holy Bible, Evangelical Heritage Version®, EHV®, © 2019 Wartburg Project, Inc. Use your time wisely and don't waste it on trivial matters. Time is one resource that you can't replace, yet we tend to worry more about saving and protecting a dollar more than we do a wasted minute.
