🤣🤣🤣🤣
I am cackling!
Jon's sense of direction is so bad that he kissed Sansa's forehead instead of her mouth.
It's canon, anon.

That look he gives her after? He's thinking "shit, I missed!"

This is the canon we need in our lives!
Tumblr media
Jon doesn't care about his own skin, but his sisters -- that's a very different matter.
Sansa doesn't want Dany to be the queen. But she doesn't get to chose.
But Jon does. And he has to chose now.
Tumblr media
Jon understands what this means for the people he loves the most.
Tumblr media
Jon knows she loves him.
I hate season 8 and what they did to the Starks. But underneath the shitty dialogue, we know that:
SANSA is one of the people (if not the only one) that JON LOVES THE MOST.
Even if he said he loves Dany, it's clear that Dany is NOT the one he loves the most. She's not even one of the people he loves the most.
When JON had to chose, HE CHOSE SANSA.
And JON knows SANSA LOVES HIM.
Even though D&D threw Jon under the bus, pushed so hard for J/D to soften Dany's downfall, and cowardly suppressed JonSa, they could not erase Jon and Sansa's true motivation because it's ESSENTIAL to the whole story.
No matter how hard they tried, they can't bury JonSa.
Sansa is one of the people Jon loves the most. He chose her over his queen.
And Sansa loves Jon.

Bad idea for a Romantic Comedy The Chief of Police is married to a Mob Boss, and they have to keep “just failing” to catch each other. When one of them hits the other in a shootout, it’s followed with “Oh I’m never going to hear the end of this…”
“So how was your day at work?” “YOU FUCKING SHOT ME! THAT WAS MY DAY AT WORK!”

Sugar and spice and everything nice!
The prompts for Jonsa drabble event are here. The theme is sugar and spice so there are two prompts for each day aimed at inspiring fluff (sugar) or smut (spice). They're not exclusive, so you can use either prompt to write a fluffy drabble or a smutty one or both if you like.
For the purpose of this event a drabble is any written work between 100 and 1000 words.
So, without further ado, here are the prompts:
Day 1 (4th August): Love and Duty.
Day 2 (5th August): Anniversaries/Firsts
Day 3 (6th August): Fairy tales/Sins
Day 4 (7th August): Lazy days/Workout
Day 5 (8th August): Clothes/Food
Day 6 (9th August): Traditions/Something new
Day 7 (10th August): Free day

Day 6 of jonxsansaremix2017 {Historical/Celebrity Couples}:
James Madison and Dolley Payne Todd Madison:
After meeting the recent widow, Sansa Stark, Congressman Jon Snow quickly courted the young woman. Finding a connection to him, she enthusiastically agreed to a marriage that would be decades long. Yet their passion for the other would not be tamed, as they became each other’s closest friends, which was a surprise to many.
Jon, although intelligent and observant, was a reserved and serious man, and only a few could ever truly get close to the man. Sansa was the opposite. A social butterfly, Jon’s wife could brighten a room with a simple yet humorous remark.
Despite these differences, it could have been what helped both of their futures in Washington. Nearly twenty years into their marriage, Jon became the fourth president of their young and eager country.
But when the nation goes to war once again with the British, they find its legacy in balance.
History would ultimately remember the first lady for saving that legacy after smuggling a portrait of George Washington mere hours before the first White House was burned.

Prompt idea: after pressure from the lords of the north to marry again Sansa helds a tourney in which the victor will marry the QitN. When word reachs Jon at the Wall he joins as a mystery knight to prevent it. He wins, declares himself unworthy of her and dissapears back to the Wall. Inspired by the Aemon and Naerys tale.
used this as an excuse to write more Jim Frost hahahaha
i hope you enjoy!!

I’ve been thinking (it’s a dangerous thing), in ADWD, Jon thinks this thought: “not some willowy creature who sits up in a tower, brushing her hair and waiting for some knight to rescue her.” It’s very specific, when on thinks about it, as willowy is someone who is tall, slender, and moves gracefully, then the whole brushing of her hair and waiting on knights. There is only one person he knows that would fit. Why do you think he was so specific in this?
Hi there!
Some time ago I made a rather lengthy post on this :
The gist of my post was that the willowy Princess in the tower is something that Jon actually wants - as can be seen if you look at some of his thoughts on women - but that he does not think he deserves, because he is a bastard. His thoughts are like the fox's who can't reach the grapes and thinks 'the grapes are too sour anyway'.
And there is also the theory of a pre-canon crush Jon had on Sansa (cf. @lady-in-a-song and her meta on a hidden love on that). And we see Sansa and brushing connected in Jon's mind (he thinks about her brushing Lady - just moments before he dies). It might be that it is Sansa who is on Jon's mind in this moment. The woman he thinks is his half - sister and out of bounds, the woman who cares for her appearance, the woman who had her head full of romantic stories and maybe played the 'damsel in the tower' when she was a child?
I agree with you. What looks on the outside as an insight into Jon's taste in women, has many more layers to it if you look closely and put it into perspective. And it becomes rather an argument for Jonsa than against it. I just hope that GRRM will decide at one point to make it more explicit.
Thanks for the ask!

I’ll never be over this!
Hello!! So I’s still in the Jonas train and don’t think I’ll ever leave it lol. Anyways I saw a gif of Tangled in which after Eugene and Rapunzel are hugging and he just bring her closer to him and closes his eyes tighter just like Jon did when he was saying goodbye to Sansa in the last episode and I’m just...you can clearly see that it’s the same thing and that they love one another so much!!!
Hello!
Holy crap, anon. Good catch. As the gif sets of @tiny-little-bird have told us, Jonsa already had a lot of visual parallels with Tangled and now this?

Well, this is just getting ridiculous.

Some very valid points!!
I'm a Sansa fan who hates her ending.
I wanted to see Sansa valued and appreciated as a woman because D&D specifically wrote her pain and suffering to stem from the fact that she was a woman, and they ultimately decided to make her the least loved main character in the whole show.
I should be smug and victorious, but I was pretty dejected after the finale. I didn’t find Sansa’s isolated crowning empowering. I found it dehumanizing.
S7-8 had people try to tempt Sansa with power, but she refused the Northern Lords, Littlefinger, and Tyrion when they offered it. Her desire was safety for herself and family, not power, so while she was a successful political figure and won independence for her people, that wasn’t what personally mattered to her. What of Sansa as a woman?
I hated their treatment of her as a woman.

This^^^^
I’m not over it. I’m just not.
The Starks were finally all together again, but we got no quality time/bonding scenes between them.
We got 4, I’ll repeat, FOUR quality time/bonding scenes between Tyrion and Jaime IN SEASON 8 ALONE. Five if you count Tyrion finding their bodies. Six if you count the drinking game at the feast. We’ve had many others over the course of the series, too.
There was no discussion of Littlefinger’s execution. Not by Jon, or Tyrion, or Varys. Also, there was no fallout or ripple effect of this. For seven season he had shit in the works all over Westeros. His death didn’t impact anything?
Cersei had almost nothing to do, and no scenes with Arya, Sansa, Jon, Tyrion really, or anyone else aside from her death scene with Jaime. This was so blatantly odd that you have to wonder whether it was retaliatory for some reason. Especially knowing they FILMED a miscarriage scene.
Jon’s parentage amounted to nothing in the end, and we got to see EVERYONE’s reaction to it EXCEPT for Jon’s or his family’s. We saw Bran see it in the tree, then Bran and Sam discuss it, then Sam bring it up to Jon and give his opinion on it, then Dany’s reaction, then Tyrion and Varys had two separate but basically identical conversations about it. But a reaction from Sansa and Arya would have been overkill? It’s just bullshit.
No direwolves as far as I’m concerned. Jon petting Ghost didn’t cut it. I wanted packs, I wanted action, I wanted them to matter. Why bring Nymeria back last season? Also, we were assured by an earlier interview with the CGI guys that we would be getting more. What happened?
The issue of food supplies never came to anything. Not Dany burning the wagons, not Sansa’s diligence in building grain stores, not the dragons eating literal herds every day. None of it mattered.
Varys was sidelined for nearly 3 seasons only to have almost no purpose in the end, and we never found out what he heard in the flames. We never see the fallout of the ravens he sent off with Jon’s parentage either.
Jon didn’t get a single epic fight scene. Why? Why??? This was what we wanted most from him. We expected it. Years of training and epic moments leading up to his two biggest battles and we get him randomly swinging at a few soldiers and wights. He could have fought Greyworm. He could have fought White Walkers. He could have fought the Night King, even if he wasn’t the one to defeat him. He could have fought by Arya’s side in either battle. Does he even know what she can do?
They put Jon on a dragon for the battle that his entire life’s purpose was leading toward, for no reason. Jon didn’t need to be on that dragon. Dany has fought every other dragon battle with her on Drogon and the other dragons following her lead. He didn’t even end up with Rhaegal as his personal dragon or whatever. No reason.
Bran has the best story?? Leaving aside that this is no basis for a system of government, that ridiculous line could have been EASILY fixed by Tyrion saying stories matter and that Bran is the KEEPER of all their stories. Stupid.
Why was Bronn even a thing? He should have been killed by Drogon in the Loot Train attack. It would have been sad, but believable. It would have fixed the season 7 problem (and 8) of having epic battles with the expectation of some faves dying, only to have the audience actually be disappointed that there weren’t more meaningful deaths.
Bran and Jon (and everyone else on the wight hunt in s7) should have noticed that White Walkers are not impacted by fire. Jon saw it at Hardhome and on the Frozen Lake (and this was specifically dragon fire). Bran sees everything, and they walked through fire when they came for him at the tree in season 6.
I just really need to know why these things happened. The most frustrating part of the backlash against season 8 is that the majority of media attention is focusing on the wrong thing - meaning, Dany’s dark turn. The only thing that should be discussed with regard to that, in my opinion, is how MUCH of the last season was eaten up by it.
When I think about seasons 1-6, but especially 1-4, it is a completely different story about different people. Remember the days of Tywin, and shit going down in the Riverlands, and Cersei in the early seasons with her intrigue and schemes and tragedies and triumphs? God I miss that show.
Remember being so beaten down by all of the shit that the Starks went through? To the point that you just wanted the remaining ones to stay alive, but had given up hope of them ever being together again, much less at Winterfell? AND THEN THEY WERE!!! That’s a huge fucking deal. It was the first thing we rooted for as an audience. The Starks coming home.
Dany was always the storyline I cared the least about and when hers merged with the rest she just drowned them all out. If I had to watch just the Dany show from season 1, I never would have stuck with this show. I just still can’t believe it ended that way. What a mess.

Seriously. Sansa had to ally reluctantly with Littlefinger to protect the North. Jon had to ally reluctantly with Daenerys to protect the North. When it came time, Sansa killed Littlefinger because he was a danger to Jon and Jon killed Daenerys because she was a danger to Sansa. If this ain't love, I don't know what is. These are dangerous wolves who would do anything to protect each other fiercely.
it’s truuuuueeeeeee
it’s canon. there’s no taking it back. there’s no changing it. jon has killed to protect sansa & his family. sansa (& arya) killed to protect jon & their family. and sansa told a secret she’d been sworn to keep the whole damn realm safe from a tyrant queen.
