"if you ship this thing it's because you're too naïve to understand that it's toxic and that you wouldn't like a relationship like this" actually it's because I see one of them as a mentos drop and the other as a bottle of coke zero and I want to watch the mess they'll be together

i think its so funny that alumni from schools like harvard and columbia that were there during the protests in the 60s-80s are expressing support for students currently protesting against the genocide in palestine, and random zionists that were NOT at these protests in the 60s-80s have the never ending audacity to tell these alumni "well thats different, what you protested was good and what they're protesting is bad." as if protesters against the vietnam war and apartheid south africa were not also demonized, arrested, brutalized, and even killed for their activism. history only remembers them fondly after the damage has already been done.

— It's been 84 years, and I can still smell the fresh paint. The china had never been used. The sheets had never been slept in. Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really was.

btw if you're annoyed with Google search giving you results for stuff that's similar to but not actually what you typed in, go to search tools, go to where it says "all results" and change that to "verbatim" and then it will search for what you actually asked for
why this is not the default is beyond me other than obvs enshittification but it has rescued a bunch of searches for me lately where the top results were completely unhelpful until i switched to that so. might be helpful for others

thinking about the poll about canon vs non-canon ships that didn't define terms, and the current fandom focus on things "going canon," so i made up a scale.
this is NOT a question about whether canon matters to what you ship (or matters at all), just how to define the phrase "canon ship."
many ships start low on the scale and slow burn their way up, so vote for the point when you would have called them "canon." i agonized over the order (especially #4-6) for a day and a half, but i went with the order in which i think joe random with a nielsen ratings box and no tumblr account would notice/call something a romantic relationship.

I have a technical question. The rain outside, is it, because I don't remember how they did this. Was it just, did they wet you down and then it was sheeting on the windows? Or was there a rain machine outside the door? So you're actually getting rained on outside the door? -Will
No, I wasn't getting rained on. I was just all wet and sprayed down. And then they had the rain on the windows. -Danielle
That's what I figured. Okay. That's what I thought it was. -Will
Yeah. Yeah. So I, I, you know, that's why my hair still looks glorious. It's like brushed back away from my face. It was like it, I remember it being like, she needs to look like a wet rat, but we still want her to be cute. -Danielle

Do you remember this Danielle? -Will
Oh, I remember it vividly. Yes. I remember. So the way the, the Matthew's living room was right in front of the audience and that therefore the backyard side yard, Feeny's yard was also right in front of the audience. And they put up a big black screen so that I could walk down the backyard and be at the back door without the audience knowing. Ccause they wanted the reaction, the surprise reaction. And I remember the very first time we did it, like Will said, you reveal me at the door and the audience gasped. A big gasp. And then they started cheering and they cheered for a long time. And we just had to stand there staring at each other with that. You know? -Danielle
Bet you it was, I I in the entire run of Boy, Meets World, I bet you it was the longest, most genuine audience reaction we'd ever had. -Will
..It's so funny as you showing up with that show, it's so funny too because since we've been doing the re I remember it vividly and I remember thinking, wow, this was way more than I was expecting. And as we're doing the rewatch I'm thinking, I guess it's different if you're young because I ...We've had to be told so much about their relationship that it, it does feel to me like a little, all of this feels a little anticlimactic, like. Okay. God, settle down guys. -Danielle
