I got the mushrooms talk and im also canadian!! west coast, actually, but maybe its more common here than america? we had a LOT of wild mushrooms growing in the backyard on decomposing stumps and from animal feces, so it was on one of my earliest lessons along with "tell dad if you see any needles in the yard" since we were in a area with some tents.

I knew I wasn't alone! I was always told that mushrooms were 100% A no go if they weren't from a store. Good to know it's not just me!

You know. “Never eat mushrooms you find anywhere outside of a grocery store, they’re hard as balls to identify and you might die.” That talk. I think I first had it when I was five.
