I Am Not a Number is an intimate documentary portrait series in which five transgender women take space to tell their own often sidelined stories in their own often silenced words. Each woman shares her experiences of migration, the struggles she faces, and where she finds strength.
I am not a Number: Mavi is the second in the series.
“Growing up I was taught to see femininity as something negative, something I had to hide. Travestis were monsters, or so I was told. It was a long road from there to where I am now…” - Mavi

In reference and tribute to Claudia Wonder's Jardim das Delicias, Traveca Delights is a collage of sensations, dreams, music and technologies used by transgender girls, where the body becomes the receptacle and spectacle for trans-femme empowerment.
The actions that make up the performance have a confrontational but also intimate content, where music and performativity are invested as liberating experimental fields, opening up perceptions and confusing normative notions.
