‘Nomad Sculpt for Beginners’ by SouthernGFX (YouTube) - Sessions 4, 5 & 6 - I really enjoyed these tutorials, I think I’ll probably be signing up to do some more. I’m very impressed with Nomad Sculpt, amazing value for £14… 🎻 I think back to the late 90’s trying to learn how to use 3d Studio Max on a crashy Windows 95 machine and getting no where. 🎻
Anyway, as my vocal cords have now recovered from Christmas-covid and the following month of coughing and spluttering I’m going to get back to vocal recording. I’ve now got a good idea how to approach making music vids and I’m fairly confident I can make myself an augmented reality spacesuit. I’d quite like to get this album done before everything goes Riddley Walker. 👍
‘Nomad Sculpt for Beginners’ by southerngfx (YouTube) - session 3 - made good progress with the hand this afternoon after taking an age applying a hessian texture to yesterday’s body. 👍🫲🤚🫱
In my quest to rapidly produce music videos to go along with my tunes, this week I’ve been looking at augmented reality, and I think I’ve now figured out a process that will work - just need to *quickly* learn how to use a 3d package - task number 1 is to make myself a spacesuit. Here’s my first effort with Nomad Sculpt this evening, it looks like a great bit of software, just hoping it doesn’t get too mind boggling.
Doodling + hairy-hand-cross-hatching-fails in the back of the sketchbook with 3 new biros (Bic Cristal Fine wins) + jottings for a passive aggressive micropoem about neighbours calling out for their cat at 2:30am. Meow.
Sketch break between episodes of The Expanse, trying out a new Pentel Fude brush pen (with buckets of correction fluid!) - not Moleskin friendly… aside from missing a foot I’ve also shortened Mrs C’s torso by a foot.
A small grouping of thumbnail sized folk lurking between the lines. Just testing how the Kuretake Zig Brush pens and biro get along on the thin Moleskin paper.
