Is it true that aspiring writers should first write for themselves?

Aspiring writers should write. I don't think it matters much who they're writing for as long as they're writing. And if they do that, then pretty soon they stop aspiring and just become writers.

Logan and Remus being touch starved Logan isn't a very cuddly person so no one actually thinks he cares, but he hugs his pillow tightly every night in hope of getting rid of this aching feeling that he doesn't understand. Remus being disgusting and stinky to the point that no one would actually touch him. He even tried to rub his skin with soap hard enough to the point of blood trying to be at least enough for a hug. It took so many years for the sides to notice their suffering.

For the prompts thingy: touch starved Remus? Fluff would be preferred but if you want to rip my heart out of my chest that’s cool too - anon

I didn’t manage to include Logan being touch-starved into this other than a throwaway mention unfortunately, you may have to imagine that part! 

Warnings: touch starvation, isolation, quarantine/coronavirus mention, negative self-image, obsessive behaviours/slight self-harming behaviours.

Patton and his friends go on a camping trip together. The thing is though, a certain otherworldly being takes a specific interest in Patton... even if Patton can't understand him.

This story's cute and strange and just a lot of fun to read. I keep wanting to go back and write a companion part myself, but after being sidelined for a while because of my wrist, I have some WIPs to catch up on before I can do that. The author has a ton of work up related to sanders sides that's worth checking out too.

So Roman and Patton, where Patton’s a human, and Roman’s a tiny mer. But there’s a language barrier, because mer can’t make human sounds, and humans can’t easily differentiate between mer sounds. Because of this, most humans don’t recognize mer as sentient, since they can’t communicate. I was thinking it’d be really cool to have a story where they try to communicate, even though it’s difficult, and make some sort of way of doing it, maybe through sign language, or writing, or something.

Could you maybe write something for the “did the ritual work?” “Yes! Hey I was wondering if you could do a prompt of the video ‘omg it’s our song original’ and Virgil being in 4th or 5th grade with one of the sides and Remus seeing them and if you want Virgil with his fiancé watching this in the future with Remus and Patton and them crying Virgil being embarrassed of the video and it being shown at his wedding thank you. Like I said you don’t have to do it also TW: there is a loud scream in the video

“Morning!” Patton chirps when Logan sits down at his desk. He turns to smile at his… sort of maybe boyfriend? It’s weird, they’ve done the whole you like me, I like you conversation but that’s it, so. 

“Morning,” Logan replies, fighting down a blush and a silly smile. “Did you uh, did you sleep well?” 

“I did!” Patton nods, scooting over on his chair as the noise of homeroom grows around them, students filing steadily in. “And I-”

Logan’s phone buzzes as probably Virgil texts him, and when he reaches to quickly check the notification he realises his mistake. He looks up to see Patton, mouth slightly parted, gazing at the screen. “Am… I your lock screen?” He asks quietly. 

Logan winces. “You weren’t supposed to see that. It’s weird, I know, I should just change it back but the picture was so good and it was from-”

“From my birthday, at the beach, I remember,” Patton interrupts, chewing on his lip. “So, maybe this is okay then?” He adds, and Logan is confused until he pulls his own phone out and shows the home screen is a picture of Logan from the exact same day, just later, when they’d gone back to Patton’s for ice cream and movies. 

“That’s me!” Logan says in surprise, and Patton grins at him bashfully, reaching out to touch his hand. 

“It is. I thought if we were, well, dating, then it was the right time to do it, but between you and me I’ve wanted to have it this way for a while.” 

“Really?”

Patton’s reply is interrupted by the bell and their teacher, but as he scoots back to his own desk he nods, and Logan glows with the warm feelings for the rest of the morning.
