Oof, somebody just reblogged an old bad take of mine. I do not believe this anymore, a few years actually watching politics have taught me that, yeah, people do think PoC lie, and in fact purposefully and insidiously promote the idea that PoC lie. And also it sucks when someone says “it sucks that this white person did this weird racist thing” and you tell them they’re wrong. And also I’m trying to be funny and come across as a huge dork. The guys who posted this post sucks, In this post I suck. It is a bad post.

Biden has already backtracked a few times, we’ve also gotten a few other unrelated small liberal victories as they try to distract us away from the genocide. The fear of a low dem voter turnout is already working. Would a second Trump presidency be catastrophic? Yes. But people aren’t saying “I’m never going to vote for Biden” they’re saying “meet me over here (on the no-genocide side of the line) and I’ll vote for Biden” and Biden hasn’t crawled past the line yet.

Who is helped in this scenario?

Looking for something about Premiere or After Effects is so involved,

20 minute video pops up “how to find that effect in Adobe Premiere”.

I am slowly losing my mind over the shift towards video as the default media format.

I do not find this to be an efficient way to absorb information. I am bored and distracted by the time the largely unnecessary introduction is over. I can't use ctrl+f to find the specific information I'm looking for. If there are instructions to follow, I don't want to have to constantly pause and back up to the part I need.

At least give me a fucking transcript.

Returning mechanics are such a solid mechanical hook to show that we’re in the same place, it’s one of the strongest aspects of the block structure. Magic already creates synergies between unrelated, contiguous sets. I would not want a new mechanic to then show up in the next set, unless it has some sort of story through line.

One thing I miss from blocks is the development of mechanics over time. Right now, we get a mechanic and it's gone the next block. I would really like to see more through lines between sets, like maybe disguise also showing up in OTJ.

How do others feel about overlapping mechanics between consecutive sets on different worlds?
