Quoigender Symbol

Quoigender also known as WTFgender or Whatgender is a gender that can have many different meanings. It is an umbrella term for anyone who doesn't quite understand their gender or doesn't want to define their gender. Some definitions of quoigender include:

Being unsure what gender is, and therefore being unsure if one has experienced it or not.

Finding the concept of gender identity to be personally inaccessible, non-nonsensical, or inapplicable.

Finding the experience of gender confusing.

Disidentifying with the concept of gender- either as a social construct or as something potentially applicable to oneself.

An alternative to questioning to express exhaustion or frustration with searching for a better gender identity term.

Questioning one's gender for such a long time that the questioning itself becomes the identity, rather than a path toward any other more stable identity.

Last month I made a post about wanting to get a cane. For various reasons I hadn’t really done anything about it; canes are expensive and I don’t really have the finances rn, fear of being judged (mainly by my family), literally just thinking about options since canes come in many styles, etc

My dream cane would be a collapsible one since I don’t always feel I’d need one, and that way I can have the thing in a pocket, or a bag, or hanging from a belt loop for when I need it

While it’s not a collapsible one…….Today I bought a cane!!

While shopping at a thrift store I saw an elderly individual lingering in the store corner, finding a cane and then putting it in their cart. DUDE, I skedaddled over there so fast once they had moved on to elsewhere in the store. In a big barrel with sports equipment and such there was another cane! It’s a black cane that’s adjustable (which is actually perfect, I was thinking about getting an adjustable one before discovering collapsible canes), it’s obviously been well loved. The cane definitely belonged to a mom before it was donated, because it’s covered in half-torn stickers, along with some foam letters (that said “mommy”) and rhinestone-strips.

I picked up the cane, saw it was super cheap (under $5) and immediately was like “yep this is mine now” despite being kind of worried about my mom saying something. But she literally didn’t care, she even said that if I plan on using it as a cane that I’ll have to practice

IM JUST REALLY HAPPY YIPPEEEEEE, I hope it helps me out. I’m going to treat this as my “test cane”, so if I feel helped by it I’ll actually spend the money to get a nice high-quality brand-new cane

UPDATE: THE CANE I BOUGHT IS COLLAPSIBLE AND I DIDNT EVEN REALIZE HAHAHA YESSSSSSSS

Are you a cane user? Do you experience pain in your legs? If so….Is your pain lessened by your cane?

When I was a kid I would frequently have problems with my legs, I’d frequently sprain/roll/otherwise injure my ankles and I’d have issues with my knees. As I grew up I continuously had weakness in my legs. Little ol’ me with zero thoughts in my head didn’t even realize this was a problem for many years. At this point in my life, as an adult, I have chronic exhaustion issues in my legs. When I walk or even stand for too long (“too long” is sometimes like 5 minutes /srs) I start dealing with horrible pain in my feet and that pain spreads up my legs until there’s just stabbing agony. I cannot go out walking for extended periods of time. One of the last times I went out shopping I literally thought I was going to collapse because my legs were so weak and tired. It’s gotten to the point where I am genuinely considering buying myself a cane, but I’m also like…weirdly ashamed to have to buy one? I’m 22, society says I shouldn’t need a cane, but I feel like I do??

I haven’t told anyone about these thoughts. As much as my leg pain highly effects me I feel like it’s not really “a thing”, like my mom knows about my pain (bc I go shopping with her and frequently end up complaining about being in pain) but no one else really acknowledges it/knows about it. I don’t really have much of a social circle to talk to this about, and I also don’t know anyone in my life who uses a cane anyways so…

I usually don’t make these kind of posts but. Idk. I’m seriously thinking about it and I’d appreciate advice.
