With the recent AI news on here, I'm out. In the following weeks, I will be setting up a website for my work. I'm not sure if it will be a patreon or just my personal website/ blog, but I can't take much more of this. I'll still keep this account here for communication and goofs, but I'm done posting art here. This faun head piece/helmet is so damn PERFECT, how do you even do it 😭😭😭 I see the chainmail part might be an image mashup(? - please forgive me if I'm talking stupid here, I'm really not familiar with digital art that much) but it blends so well, and everything else looks so...ummm.. natural? The color and the shine of the metal parts, the folds od the fabric... incredible. I'm in awe and literally tearing up, sorry if I'm overreacting, but I absolutely love it.

I'd rather die than hand paint chainmail. You are certainly not talking stupid and I appreciate the kind words more than you know. I've put a lot of time into collecting a solid library of material references from museums I've gone to. Overlaying textures can go a long way in cutting the time of rendering/ polishing in half, but its not a silver bullet. I feel like I really made a breakthrough in my process when I started using the selection tool and gradient filling. It gives everything a really nice value transition that makes things lay together more realistically and cleanly. It makes me so happy that someone likes it that much, thank you and I hope you have an excellent day!
