soooooo are we going to talk about how lucretia yelled out “everybody disrobe like the Greek beasts of old!” after daisy and sylvester’s wedding or not?

because i’m going to talk about it.

the first thing i thought of when i heard those words from my blessed muse’s mouth was the Lupercalia. I am familiar with the Lupercalia because I have bought perfumes from BPAL (their Wrath scent from the Seven Deadly Sins lineup is my favorite. Cyanide~) and every year they have Lupercalia-themed scents.

The Lupercalia was a festival defined by sex and violence, which come to think of it really does match up with the m&m finale’s finale. It was a ROMAN, not a Greek festival though. part of me wishes Lucretia said the “Roman” beasts of old since this series has had so much Rome stuff going on and her name! Is that of a famous Roman figure!

anyways the point of this post is, as always, to remind everyone of how great lucretia is and how amazing every word that comes out of her mouth sounds. i am so pleased she got the last word in. like i am damn sure she’s the last character who speaks.

lucretia started mice and murder with her candle and powder budget. it is only right and proper that she should end it.

i love how we’re talking about daisy’s shits with this dramatic music playing over sylvester running into the bathroom. this is actually such a great moment for daisy and sylvester’s relationship and it centers around shit. 

and a lightning rod.

what a great finale. and we got a whole speech from lucretia about her powders! that remains the high point of this episode for me. this is a lucretia stan blog though this episode really really has me stanning daisy as well.
