the gender of ally beardsley’s pcs has never missed! we have a high schooler who only wears tie dye and birks embracing her lesbianism, a trans man who’s the voice of dreams and got his top surgery from a mob doctor, a peppermint boy, a literal german shepherd in a pink suit who uses they/them, their first character after going on t being a cis lesbian who is just a mess in every way, and an old gay man who goes by mother. fucking with gender in every direction and it’s so fun and great every time 🏳️⚧️
Just spent the past some amount of hours putting all dimension 20 episodes (only including episodes where they are actively playing DnD) into an alphabetical list for the worst d20 watching experience possible!!!!
It starts with the first episode of acofaf and ends with the last episode of acofaf so maybe it's just the worst way to watch acofaf.
another reason to appreciate mice & murder more than people do is that they have really excellent adventuring party episodes (shoutout to whoever told me to look them up!), including this one which essentially unlocks secret gamechanger "yes or no" lore
as far as sidequest seasons go, mice and murder really was THAT bitch. introduced by talking about how king charles was an actual spaniel. katie kicking off her character with an "'ello", immediately followed by "something funny that happened is: my parents died" IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED by a nat20 (which katie didn't realize was a nat20). grant playing a sexy fox detective and puffing his pen. raph making his first roll with disadvantage. brennan making animal puns. ally's character being a watson-type nonbinary ex-military doberman in a bright pink suit who is also a cancer and has a german accent. rekha's character being. so round. sam's "time is money. here's both." and attempting to tip with american money. the whole medium conversation and "i'd have called her a bit of a large" from grant. it just doesn't stop
my roommate had a dream last night where Brennan Lee Mulligan was running the concession stand at their catholic middle school basketball game and they asked him how'd he ended up there and he was like I'm a seminarian (priest in training) and they asked if he was lying and he just shrugged and gave a mischievous smile
one of my favorite subgenres of dimension 20 guest star is "incredibly cool character getting absolutely clotheslined by their player's inability to roll"
