2. In the first timeline, Mami is not fond of Moemura. She is jealous when Madoka spent more time with Homura and even got mad when Madoka gave her a cake that Madoka and Homura both collaborated on.

Explaining to all companies that the three requirements for me to use a social media with any frequency are:

A chronological follow-only feed, ideally which I can set as default

Anonymity (my real name and face are not required)

Have a desktop version

You may call me boomer or whatever but if a social media doesn’t have bare minimum these three things then I will never use it ever. I won’t even make an account. You can suck at everything else but these are non-negotiable. The fact that they are anathema to profitability does not matter to me. If you cannot provide me these three things then I will simply not use any social media at all.

In addition to the manuals, I hope that Vimm’s or someone out there is preserving all of those game guides and nintendo power editions that were written before the internet was big on guides for these types of things. One that immediately comes to mind is the Prima series of strategy guides. I used to use the Wind Waker Prima all of the time to get through the game painlessly. It’s one of the reasons I so fondly remember that game.

There’s actually a super metroid romhack that does something similar to this. Super Metroid Subversion, I think it was? She goes to a space pirate station to blow up an aurora unit, encounters ridley, then he blows her out of the airlock and she goes careening down to the surface of a new high-gravity planet where she has to find new upgrades to help her adapt to the environment.

I don't mind that recent Metroid games have taken to providing explicit justifications for why Samus needs to re-collect all of her upgrades in each game, but I do mind that it's often for such stupid fucking reasons. Like, let's at least make it something that's commensurate with the trouble she went through to collect all that junk in the first place, you know? I think in the next game she should get blown out of the sky in low orbit and experience atmospheric re-entry without a spaceship – I'm sure there's something in her increasingly fucked up DNA that would let her survive that. Just hauling her still-smouldering body out of a twenty-meter-wide impact crater like "welp".

so at my new job there’s been a lot of confusion over my gender (which as an enby is great) but somehow in the confusion my coworkers came to assume I’m a trans man and even though I’m AMAB I’ve used the confusion as leverage to get them to put tampons/pads in the men’s room and add a gender neutral bathroom for any transmascs/enbies down the line and I kept thinking “this is like the ‘my gender is whatever makes the joke funnier’ thing but the opposite??” and anyway tldr here is my “My gender is” alignment chart

when i was a freshman in college i wanted to dress up for halloween because i thought surely college students would have the spirit. so i elected to put together a whole entire Skull Kid from legend of zelda majora’s mask cosplay together and wear that fucking ensemble to college on halloween.

i step on campus and realize immediately that not one other person is dressed up. not so much as a cat ear headband. so imagine this fucking dude sitting in a class of otherwise normally dressed people looking like this. that was me. this was my 9/11
