I love that phenomenon where ur talking to another neurodivergent person for the first time and u haven’t quite grocked their flavor of brain yet and they haven’t grocked yours and you’re both using your Acceptable Friendly Person Getting To Know You Script on each other but of course those scripts have been calibrated mainly for use with, like, normal people, so you just end up being like two conversational roombas bonking gently off one another like “hello fellow human” “hello fellow ‘hello fellow human’” until you both at some point manage to adjust your programming and actually like, communicate

It’s like when I was a kid I had two furbies and when you put them next to each other they’d just natter nonsensically past one another for a bit and then at some point one would abruptly recognize the other with its furby sensor or w/e and it would shout “DANCE!” and the other one would flap its ears and reply “HEY, DANCE” and then, in perfect unison, they would begin to rock back and forth while chanting “doot doot doo doot doot doo”

I love trans girls for lots of reasons but I think the biggest is that growing up as a girl for me was SO hard. horrible. nightmare. but they make it look happy and enjoyable... they redefine what womanhood is to me from something horrible to something beautiful... very hard to explain... me being a boy is awesome... and seeing trans people love womanhood in a way I couldn't is even better. thank u girls

sure there hasn’t been a plot driven sanders sides video in 2 years but have you forgotten the huge global pandemic that happened about 2 years ago that directly impacted the staffing with thomas’s team, production, filming, etc?

before any of you read this and think that I’m just supporting him without any critical thought, please keep in mind that I already wrote a long post about how the animators weren’t paid fairly back when that whole controversy happened (EDIT: I went back to re-read and I realize most of my post was advice to artists about finances but frankly I thought the underpayment was bad then and still think so now). be as frustrated as you feel. stop engaging with the fandom or the series or whatever. but please at least try to remember that everything has become exponentially more difficult due to COVID. remember that we only see the side of Thomas The Person that he wants us to see. we only see a fraction of his life, the life of his team, and all those fractions are also curated. we have no idea how any of them have been coping with the pandemic, if they’ve endured losses, if they’ve gotten sick or how often, none of that and it is also none of our business.

I do think that he could benefit from maybe hiring someone specifically to handle the business side of Foster Dawg and the production team because that can take the mental load of scheduling for production off of their shoulders so they could focus more effort into actually doing the filming.

If you’re mad, then cancel your patreon or stop watching or whatever. You don’t need to devote your own mental load to souring something that you used to enjoy.

Stepping away from rewatching the main studio ghibli movies has been such a lovely experience. im happy I'm able to watch it now when I'm a bit more older and can appreciate the more tranquil movies like Only Yesterday and Princess Kaguya. I only have a couple more movies to sit and watch thru but the journey's been magical.

the growing tension between virgil and patton is so painful, cause like. patton was so welcoming to virgil, so of course he would become more open minded to the dark sides and become welcoming to them more quickly. especially after seeing the progress virgil has made. however, virgil knows things patton doesn't and very clearly has an unstable relationship with the others, so seeing someone he's super attached to suddenly be friendly with someone that he's not on good terms with at all must really really hurt. (also because virgil doesn't seem like he wants to talk about the real issues he has, making it even harder for patton to understand.)

OKAY SO SPOILERS FOR NEW SANDERS SIDES VIDEO BUT I NEED TUMBLRS OPINION BECAUSE I HAVE A THEORY GUYS

this is far fetched but who cares. okay so basically yk how in this episode patton was very much himself but the one line that stuck out to me was the ‘sometimes passion makes you act a little silly’. it could just be an innocent line but idk. when patton was doing his promo video, even logan was shocked at what he was saying. when have we seen that before? WHEN JANUS WAS DISGUISED AS PATTON. the line in ‘can lying be good’ when janus says ‘well i’m morality! i’ve gotta know my stuff!’ just reminds me of this so much. also in the 5 years episode, even janus shows off his patton persona. it was very convincing, even saying that he has ‘grown’. so basically i think patton was janus in the new episode. like all the quotes and references also make it so convincing. so the line almost has a double meaning because it could be janus trying to remind logan of that incident with remus. in pattons promo, logan was kind of suspicious because patton was referencing loads of stuff, but then went back on track to ‘silly and normal’ patton. maybe that’s what janus meant when he says he’s ‘grown’; he can act more like the sides, especially now he is closer to them as they have learned/are learning to accept him. the only thing is the scenes with the sides in their rooms. if janus was patton, how would real patton know about the bear issue? but it would also explain the absence of janus; HE WAS THERE ALL ALONG
