The forest elder's name is Teth! (i think. lol my memory is kind of bad)

Although the water itself in forest is clean and doesn't harm light creatures, technically the rain IS acidic, or at least harms light creatures like skykids, so its probably not all that pure.

For the betrayal part, I'm guessing that the forest elder felt betrayed because it was mentioned in the video that Teth was the one who created darkstone, and might have felt betrayed that Samekh was overusing it and doing it carelessly. Just speculation though!

Cool theories, thanks for sharing! It's my first time learning about the "betrayal" thing. (I don't look at concept art often, plus the ones in the office are so hard to read 😭)
