Ultimately, I’m just worried about mxtx.
Apart from the rumors around whether or not she’s in jail, her popularity has finally reached a level that harms her rather than benefits her. Now, those in charge of censoring, know her by name and target her work specifically. They list her works out when discussing the new censorship rules for donghuas, video games, web novels and even dramas. She’s on their blacklist and everyone on their team is on a look out for her.
So yes I’m worried about her. She was still a college student when she wrote tgcf, she’s still so young with her whole future stretching out ahead of her. Too young for rumors about whether or not she’s in jail to go around, too young to already have so many people watching out for her, too young to be publicly slandered like that. I hope she’s safe and well, I pray she’s at her home rn, sipping hot chocolate as she laughs at how she angered all those people by writing about two men kissing. I hope she’s far away and unreachable and about to get hella rich from the English novels that are about to come out.

Jiang Cheng knows what’s going to happen a moment before Lan Xichen steps away from the camera.
Lan Xichen gives him a reassuring smile, but Jiang Cheng can tell that he’s annoyed and he clenches his teeth.
It wasn’t his idea to come here and pretend to be a model. He told Lan Xichen over and over again that he couldn’t do this, that he might have the looks of a model—even that is debatable—but he sure as fuck can’t work as one, and now it’s going to prove Wei Wuxian right.
Instead of going over to Lan Xichen and ask what he did wrong, how he can do better, Jiang Cheng goes to get something to drink.
He knows what his problem is; he’s stiff and unnatural as soon as a camera lens is pointed at him, and he told Wei Wuxian and Lan Xichen just that, but it’s not like anyone is ever listening to him.
“I don’t think this is going to work,” he hears Lan Xichen say to Wei Wuxian. “He has the looks, but apart from that—” Lan Xichen trails off with a wince and Jiang Cheng wants to shake Wei Wuxian when he starts to shake his head.
“No, no, Xichen-ge, come on! You’re the best photographer I know! If you can’t make it work, how am I ever going to convince Jiang Cheng that he could work in this profession?”
Jiang Cheng fights the urge to yell over that he doesn’t even want to work in this profession, that this is just some new bullshit Wei Wuxian got into his head, but before he can do so, Nie Huaisang speaks up.
“Actually, I might have an idea,” he says, hiding behind his fan as per usual and Jiang Cheng sighs.
He doesn’t want to try something else. He just wants to go home. It’s never going to work anyway; he feels uncomfortable the moment the photographer directs him into his first pose, and it doesn’t matter who’s behind the lens.
Jiang Cheng simply can’t deal with that kind of focus on him.
Before he can go over and tell them that, Nie Huaisang goes on.
“I called my da-ge, he’s going to take the pictures.”
Jiang Cheng goes ice-cold.
Nie Mingjue is well known in these circles for being one of the toughest but also one of the most accomplished photographers.
He’s going to snap Jiang Cheng clean in half if he can’t pose like Nie Mingjue wants him to.
“I think I’ll be leaving,” Jiang Cheng hears himself saying and every head turns around to him.

This topic has probably been cried about to death already but I really just- have so many feelings about the moment lwj realize it's wwx on dafan mountain. Just imagine how that moment must've felt to him. He had probably resigned himself to never see wwx alive and well ever again, the best he could hope for would be to meet him in their next life. Then, on this seemingly ordinary night hunt he hears his their song, and there's only one other person who knows it. Could it be? How could it be? Should he get his hopes up? He gets there, sees him and all doubt falls away. Wwx came back. We never see his feelings play out on his face, but in retrospect we know lwj is a person who feels a lot™️ very strongly, so that exact moment of realization must have hit like a truck.
Lwj is a character who throughout the story finds himself wanting for something he believes he can never have. And he accepts it. Though it hurts he'll make peace with it and move on. Then the rug is pulled out from underneath him and he suddenly finds himself face to face with the exact thing he didn't dare hope for. Wwx dies, and lwj mourns and accept the finality of it. Suddenly wwx is back. Wwx does not feel the same, and lwj accept this. Though it hurts, as long as he's happy and healthy it's enough. But then he does feel the same after all, and that's enough for lwj to nearly break down and cry.
Truly, is there anything more emotional than seeing a character gain what they didn't think they could have, but so very much deserve?

It is increasingly obvious that most people have no idea how to indicate an illness is slowly killing someone without making them cough up blood. Doesn’t matter what it is or if it has anything to do with your respiratory system, if you’re dying, you’re coughing up blood.

Why do you reblog your own fics so much?
Because someone might as well!? And look at this. Look. At. This.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Does this look right to you??
These are just the last three fics I wrote. I appreciate the likes, believe me I do, but you have to understand. Likes do nothing for content creators. It’s the reblogs. Because that’s how you find shit on your dashboard. Through reblogs. Not likes. This isn’t twitter or tiktok or instagram. This is a website that’s run by the reblog system.
Reblogging helps content creators put their stuff out there. Why do you think so many people stopped writing fanfic and creating beautiful fanart and edits? It’s because they put in hours of work and don’t get nearly enough notes for their masterpieces. Yes we do this because we enjoy it but like...some validation won’t hurt. A boost of confidence here and there might be all someone needs to finish whatever thing they started and left.
Anyway, I’m still going to reblog my shit...

A sudden, terrifying thought
When you see an animal with its eyes set to the front, like wolves, or humans, that’s usually a predator animal.
Tumblr media
If you see an animal with its eyes set farther back, though—to the side—that animal is prey.
Tumblr media
Now look at this dragon.
Tumblr media
See those eyes?
Tumblr media
They’re to the SIDE.
Tumblr media
This raises an interesting—and terrifying—question.
Tumblr media
What in the name of Lovecraft led evolution to consider DRAGONS…
As PREY?

HAPPY PRIDE!! ✨🏳️‍🌈✨ 🌈
Anything for mdzs with Jiang Yanli? Thank you!
a continuation of 1 2
Jiang Yanli doesn't carry a sword.
The only time Lan Wangji sees her with it is when they're practicing sword forms. She manages the stances and moves easily enough, but can't seem to channel a significant amount of cultivation energy through the blade.
Lan Wangji wonders about her bodyguard.
He doesn't participate in the classes, instead standing the back and observing. They'd never even spoken, only exchanged nods as Jiang Yanli had introduced them.
Brother and Uncle are encouraging him to spend time with Jiang Yanli. Apparently the talks between the elders and the Jiang's council are going well.
If they continue to go well, he could find himself engaged by summer's end.
He comes up on a loose crowd of disciples from every sect, tension running high, and he shoulders his way through to see what the fuss is about.
Jiang Yanli is standing there. Her bodyguard, for once, is nowhere to be seen.
Jin Zixun sneers at her. He wants to intervene, but there are Jiang disciples here keeping their distance. "Jiang Yanli. I see you're swordless. Again."
She just raises an eyebrow. Lan Wangji wonders what Jin Zixun hopes to gain by irritating the heir to the Jiang Sect. The Jiangs might not be as rich as the Jiangs, but their disciples tend to be stronger and the area they control is greater, even though they have less disciples. Pissing them off isn't a good idea.
"Does your sword even have a name?" he taunts. "I don't understand how someone like you can be the heir to the Jiang. Your clan must be so embarrassed by you."
There's a furious fission among the Jiang disciples, but still they hold their place. If Jiang Cheng was here, he imagines this would be going differently, but he's not.
Jiang Yanli tilts her head to the side, a mocking smile curling around her mouth before she turns away from him to walk away.
"Don't turn your back on me!" he shouts, unsheathing his blade and swinging it down in an arc that will embed itself into her spine.
Lan Wangji moves forward to stop it, but he's too late.
Wei Wuxian is standing where he wasn't before, standing in front of Jiang Yanli's back. He's stopped Jin Zixun's blade with the hilt of his still sheathed sword. Just as quickly as he'd moved before, he yank's Jin Zixun's sword from his hand before jamming the hilt of the sword in his solar plexus then sweeping his feet out in front of him. Between one blink and the next Jin Zixun goes from standing, armed and upright, to groaning on his back with his weapon out of reach.
"My sword's name," Jiang Yanli says calmly, having kept her back to the whole exchange, "is Wei Wuxian."
Wei Wuxian winks at him before turning to step next to Jiang Yanli. They walk away from him arm and arm with their heads held high.
Wei Wuxian hadn't even bothered to draw his sword.
