Reblogging to add some background info and old doodles of the species.

I began the aquatic alien story a long time ago and it correlated to me coming to terms with my lesbian tendencies. It was a way for me to address the disgust for homosexuality I’d been raised among and had seeded within me terribly deeply without directly dealing with it and what it meant for me personally. Of course when I was socially transitioned the story was still relevant to me personally too as the third sex of the aquatic alien species isn’t male or female but one specifically meant to be a sort of other and intermediate depending how one looks at it, which equated to how I found myself more masculine than how I understood girls to be and those I knew and was close to were.

I wish I could do art or do it on a way that is realistic for a series but there’s no way I could get anything quality and reliably scheduled so I’m gonna have to skimp in sketchiness for this series to lean more into the storytelling aspect.
