fears the wrath that your gaze holds. he knows you, and he absolutely is terrified of seeing that look. but, of course, this doesn’t stop him. if anything, it makes him even more curious how close he could get until you give him said look. so he purposely keeps messing with you until you give him the look, and once you do, he plays innocent.

“drawing.” he responds with a small smile, still sketching silly doodles on you.

“drawing what, exactly?” his smile grows even wider after hearing the voice he loves the most, softly shaking his head.

“can’t tell you, it’s a surprise.” you sigh, repeating his actions: shaking your head.

after a few more minutes of comfortable silence, he grabs a nearby mirror and shows you what he’s done, with a proud smile.

“do you like it?” he tries to inquire, still with the biggest grin on his face. he had drawn on a birthday hat, with a small heart on your cheek with his name in it.

“it’s very cute, my love.” you smile back, giving him a hug. he hugs you back before he pulls away, speaking, “happy birthday! i got you something besides my amazing art skills.” he casually mentions, leaving out the room to get it.

“oh?” you raise an eyebrow, a bit surprised. you had told him repeatedly you didn’t want anything this year, but he’s amazing, so he went above and beyond.

he comes back, gift bag in hand. handing it to you, he smiles even brighter than before. “here you go, please rate my services 1 through 10!”

“hm, i’d have to rate them a 10 so far..” you open the gift bag, eyes widening. he got you a ring? and when you turn back to him, he’s still holding that same grin.

“i got a k on it so you’ll always be reminded of me when you look down, and, this beautiful color so you’ll think of yourself. how absolutely wonderful you are. how you are perfect itself.”

“that’s quite the cheesy declaration, my love.”

“is it really cheesy if it’s true?” he questions, giving you a quick kiss to your cheek.

alhaitham stops reading his books out loud. it used to be a cute habit to read to you to help you sleep, but, now, unless absolutely necessary, he refuses to do so. it reminds him too much of you, and how badly he messed up everything.

he no longer visits the tavern you both used to go to, kaeya refuses to do it. he insisting it’s because he doesn’t have the energy to travel that far, but to absolutely anyone, it’s obvious he’s still recovering from heartbreak.

childe no longer gets everything in pairs. a cute gesture you had always adored. how he’d travel, and when he returned, he’d always have one for you and one for him.

it’s the way ayato used to share with you just about everything. new plans for an event, or perhaps even just his boba. he loved sharing with you everything. but, when you two split ways, it leaves an almost tingly pain sensation in his mouth.

getting a reaction from the stoic teal-eyed man is a difficult task one can do, but you were a person that never backed down from any challenge. it started as a joke, where you were trying to fluster and make your boyfriend blush, to which he blatantly ignored because it would give you the satisfaction you wanted when he’d pay attention to you.

so when you said those words, along with your teasing tone and grinning face, he felt his face burn up and turn scarlet. his eyes widened and immediately covered his face in hopes you wouldn’t notice it. he slowly removed his earpiece and stared at you.

“are you happy?” he uttered, his face still decorated with rosy cheeks, a heavenly sight, like a blessiny from a god himself.

“yeah, i am. my boyfriend is blushing and he’s so cute. i should do it more often.” you smiled.

that earned an even more deeper shade of maroon from alhaitham. he stayed that way for the rest of the day, unable to look at your face, especially your eyes because your taunting gaze will remind him of your compliment. and for the rest of the week, you kept on teasing your ‘god-like boyfriend’. causing the poor man to always hide his blush whenever you’d broadcast it.

oh, he does not hate it. he wishes he’d hear more of them. although he would rather die than admit it to you.

after you had said that, there was pause.. and cyno looked as frozen as a statue, shocked in place. you regret your actions as you thought you made your lover uncomfortable with your actions, but he was panicking on the inside, and screaming to himself.

cyno wished you didn’t say that to him, because if anything else, he should be the one saying it to you. he got annoyed momentarily, because you beat him to it. seems like i need to step up my game, he thought. a sudden idea flashed in his head, and he gave you a small smirk.

“what about you, then?” he blurted out. a sudden confidence bubbling in his chest, if you were going to tease and fluster him, it’s only natural he’d return the favor.

“what about?”

“if i’d put gods to shame, you must be a celestial being from above then, because you are so irresistible.” he smiled as he affectionately gave you a kiss on the cheek.

needless to say that you were the one blushing instead of him now, and no matter how much he tried to bring you back into existence and call your name, it was useless. you were too high up in cloud 9. cyno chuckled as he heard your dreamy sigh, and smiled when you finally snapped back to reality.

“i didn’t know you can flirt like that.. who taught you that?”

“i was only trying to copy what you did, honey.”

“then how did you do it better than me !?”

it was out of nowhere when you said that, you accompanied kaveh to lambad’s tavern and while waiting for you shawarma wrap to be served, you thought of ways on how to make this day an eventful one, ergo the idea that caused kaveh to spat out the water he was drinking in absolute shock and surprise.

rest in peace to kaveh because his soul has passed on to the heavens when you complimented him with those words, he became a blushing and stuttering mess. it almost seems like he was a robot malfunctioning, as he gasped and pointed at you with a laughable expression on his face, so you turned into a chuckling mess.

“why are you laughing? this is no laughing matter!” he pouted and crossed his arms and you laughed at his cute expression. “what if i died right now because my heart is beating so fast…” you were surprised by his sudden confession.

“i’m not laughing!” you were clearly lying. your face was tainted with the same redness kaveh has— not because you were blushing, but you were giggling so hard at your lover’s adorable reaction. “i’m just saying the truth.” you added.

“whatever!” he pouted and looked away from you, to which made you pinch his cheeks in return. up until the shawarma wrap was served, kaveh still hasn’t gained the strength to look at your eyes, in belief that he would falter with embarrassment.

he let out a laugh when you flirted with him, as his hands went to cover his small giggle. tighnari, indeed, was one of the most beautiful and handsome man you have ever met. something about his graceful statuesque and elegant manner of speaking screams that he was like a god coming to bring down, bestowing you blessings.

“you really think so?” he looked at you lovingly, as his hands towered over your hands, embracing it. he adorably massaged the back of your hands.

“yes, i’m serious.” you smiled teasingly as you looked at unaffected tighnari, who grew used to your constant flirtatious words and you making fun of him.

he hummed a happy tune in response as he saw the mischievous glint in your gaze. “you really shouldn’t compliment me like that,” he responded.

“really, why is that?” you questioned tighnari, and smiled lightly, waiting for him to continue what would his reply be to you. he took your hand that we was holding and kissed it affectionately. the small action made you blush.

he takes a deep breath before continuing, “stumbling over my words, wanting to make sure the proposal was perfect. and seeing your smile at the end made it all worth it. and she did everything, she did everything she could for him. and she reminds me of myself. i’d do anything for you, but you know that already, don’t you?”

you nod, surprised by his sudden explanation. “so you do like the movie, then?”

kaeya’s laughs were heard from afar as he talked and conversed to his friends, obviously being the light of the prom, women and men alike fawned over the olive-skinned man as he— on purpose or not, flashes his perfect teeth at them, showing his sweet smile. for a moment, his eyes flashed onto you, he waved at you and winked. typical kaeya. you smiled at him bashfully.

it was prom night, and you sulked in the corner while everyone was having fun, including your boyfriend, kaeya. it wasn’t his fault that you weren’t enjoying this, you were frustrated at yourself for getting jealous of all the people prying their hands on your partner. you let out a small smirk when you see kaeya visibly backing off and mouthing the words, along the lines of.. “i’m taken!”

of course, you have no reasons to get mad at your lover, he was everything you’ve ever wanted in a person. suffice to say, your boyfriend was your dream man. but you can’t help but to need his attention on you, and you only.

“my love? you look bothered.” kaeya’s melodious voice snapped you back into reality. he sat beside you, his hands making their way into yours.

“nothing. i just… wanna go home.” you sighed.

“are you tired?” he looked at you with a worried expression. “i can drop you off home—“

“i want to go back with you.”

the corners of kaeya’s lips turned into a teasing smirk when you uttered those words. instead of responding, he put his arms on your shoulder, and carressed it as he spoke.

“of course. but can we head to mine? i have to show you something.” he smiled. you nodded, but your mind filled you with confusion and excitement.

as you both headed downtown to kaeya’s home. you were met with a piano, your face gaped in awe and surprise as you admire the instrument.

“beautiful! is this yours?” he blushed at your question.

“…yeah, I’ve been practicing for you.” he smiled shyly, his hands scratching his back in embarrassment.

“well, can i hear you play?” you asked with an excited tone dripping your words.

he looked at your cute face, and who was he to resist? kaeya slowly made his way into the piano’s chair as you dragged a chair beside him. he started to play a familiar tune.

his slender and veiny fingers were gracefully pressing on all the right notes and keys, and you wondered just how long was he practicing for. to you, it looked like he was doing this with so much ease and grace, but kaeya was internally panicking, making sure he wasn’t going to make any mistakes.

your face was almost the same shade as an apple, the fact that kaeya did this just for you and anyone else made your heart dance and flutter. you didn’t need to compete and fight for his attention, because you’re the only one his eyes are always on. ditching prom was the best decision i have ever made in my life, you thought.

“you are all i long for.. all i worship and adore.”

your eyes widened when you finally realized what piece he was singing. it was your favorite song, the very song he sang to you when he asked you to be his lover. kaeya noticed your realization and paused for a while to give you a kiss on the cheek.

“in other words, please be true..”

“in other words, i love you.”

“hey, i know a better way to spend the night.” albedo whispered to you. you looked at him askanced, not certain if you’d trust him with that. albedo, out of all the people, ditching prom?

you looked at the place filled with people in their best suits and dresses. although you and albedo have waited for this for a long time, and a lot of your classmates have been too, but it was getting a bit too boring.

you thought about it for a moment, before replying to your boyfriend, who was patiently waiting for your response. you smiled at him softly.

“what is it?” you asked albedo. he didn’t say anything, but only gave you a sly smile as he stood up and held your hand.

“come on, follow me.”

you both sneakily ran past the teachers guarding the door to not get caught, and giggled to yourselves while shushing each other as the silence of the once loud hallway was now enough to echo the littlest of whispers or footsteps.

the dark hallway made your spine shiver in fear of getting caught, yet in thrill since albedo was with you. you looked at his face, plastered with a light expression, seemingly having fun.

“i can’t believe i’m ditching prom with you.” you let out a small chuckle. “you aren’t a goody-two shoes after all.”

“you say that about me? plus, i know you’re getting bored. and we’re not leaving school.” albedo muttered, in which you looked at him with confusion.

“then where are we going?”

“you’ll see.”

it took enough time for you to realize that albedo has led you to the art room, one of his favorite places to be. being one of the most trusted members in the class, he has his own key to the room, which came in handy. you watched as albedo opened the lock to the room.

you admired the messy yet beautiful room filled with so much art from different mediums, ranging from acrylics, oils, graphites, and many more. albedo casually walked past them, you on the other hand, carefully observed and looked at the drawings one by one.

you got startled when albedo pushed a chair for you to sit on. it brought you back to your senses as the blonde-haired man waited for you to say something.

“what are we doing here?”

“sit there.” he pointed to the stool in the middle of all the easels and canvases surrounding it. you saw him pick up a canvas and a pen.

“pose for me, darling.” he smiled cheekily.

“you’re drawing me?” you laughed, with a hint of flattery and nervousness.

“uhuh, what else?” he started to pick up a few pencils while you fidgeted on your seat and started to think of what pose to do. eventually, you found one that was comfortable enough in the small stool chair. he looked at you intently, his eyes hovering every strand of your hair, the muscles of your body, and the way your eyes looks at him lovingly.

you hear sketches of graphite touching the paper while albedo smiled to himself as he looked at his most endearing masterpiece, you.

“what better way to ditch prom night, right?” he smiled.

— DAINSLEIF

dainsleif said to himself that he wouldn’t bore with such trivial matters such as prom but here he is, watching you dance blissfully, without a care in the world. he looked at you lovingly as you clumsily swayed back and forth, and smiled at all your classmates dancing along with you.

he looked at his watch to check the time and slightly pulled on his suffocating tie that you got him to wear, matching with your clothes. he called out your name to get your attention.

“hello, handsome stranger! what is it?” you smiled at him teasingly, to which he caressed your cheeks delicately in response.

“i have to show you something.” he feverishly held your hand, the contrast to your delicate skin as opposed to his rough and calloused hands made him melt.

“oh? what is it? i’m curious.” you asked the blonde-haired man. you and dainsleif walked to the end of the room, the loud noise of people cheering and the music playing now became a faint whisper, like a voice in your head. you looked at your boyfriend, with confusion.

“where are you going, dain?” you asked him, while he said nothing but continued to walk until you were met with the horizon of the beautiful night sky in the school’s rooftop, the twinkling starlights glistening in your eyes while the bright moon reflected on your face, it made dainsleif hitch his breath at your mesmerizing sight.

“i set this up for you, a while ago.” he pointed to a familiar telescope in front of you, the telescope which dainsleif loved so much it has his own room at his house, he never allowed you to touch it, until now.

you gasped in excitement. “you’re finally allowing me to use this now? what’s its name?” you looked at him and admired the instrument.

“telescopes do not have names..?” he furrowed his eyebrows.

“oh don’t be such a killjoy! name it.”

“well, i’m naming it after you, then.” he looked at your embarrassed and blushing face as you tried to cover it with your hands, the small action made him chuckle at your cuteness. “anyway, i want to show you how to use it. i can always see your curious eyes whenever we pass by its room.” he joked.

“it’s so beautiful, i’ve never seen stars up close.” you looked at the sky within the telescope’s lens, absolutely stunned at the gorgeous sight.

“some of them are actually planets, oftentimes, people would mistake them for stars. although the stars that are always bigger than the rest are planets.” he added, you smiled at dainsleif, you always loved it when he would ramble about information you know he loves.

“would you like to look at them, too?” you turned to him, with a big smile plastered on your face, clearly satisfied with what dainsleif have suprised you with.

he glanced at the night sky, also twinkling in his eyes, he put his gaze back onto you. no amount of stars in the heavens can compete with you. the brighest of them all, and he’d like to observe the beauty with his bare eyes.

“no, thank you. i would rather look at you instead.”

cyno rolled his eyes at the cheesy songs that were playing from the gigantic and loud speaker. people danced with their lovers in the huge ballroom, on the other hand, you and cyno were emptying the desserts in the snack bar. you were pretty sure that if no one was looking he would’ve put them in his pockets now. luckily you were sane enough for the both of you that you were able to stop him.

“cyno, for the last time. you cannot take home the desserts! they’re for everyone!” you exclaimed at the poor young man, whose mouth was filled with varying types of sweets.

cyno rolled his eyes and dragged you away from the dessert bar. “whatever. let’s get outta here.”

you were left with no choice when he practically locked your hands with his while you both escaped hastily from the teachers who were unaware that the two of you had left the school premises. you started to panic as it was said earlier that nobody was allowed to leave or go out until prom had ended, unless it's something important.

you waited for cyno to explain, yet to no avail, you two were still running away.

“w—we’re leaving school?” you breathlessly shouted at him while you both ran to the other side of the street, dodging all the upcoming cars honking at the two of you for causing such a ruckus. you hoped your voice was loud enough for him to hear over the busy streets.

“yeah, we’re heading to my place.” he chuckled at your exasperated expression after running away from a near-death chase with cars. “besides, it’s not like we’re doing anything bad.” he raised his eyebrows and you nodded in agreement.

“yeah, we’re not doing anything bad. let’s just say that there was an emergency?” you tried to comfort yourself.

as you both walked along with moonlight serving as the beacon of light in a very dark sky, you felt cyno’s hand slowly fiddled and intertwined with yours, you head turned to look at his embarrassed and blushing face as you slowly held his shivering hand.

when you reached cyno’s house, he methodically reached for the doorknob with the keys by his hand, after a few moments, opening the door.

“wait, i need to get something.” cyno went upstairs and you can hear his rushed footsteps in the creaking ceiling. obviously, you expected this night to be a peaceful and romantic one. cyno wasn’t really the one to tell ‘i love you’, he opted to just show it with his actions.

what you didn’t expect is for him to walk down the stairs in a hurried manner, your eyes followed his steps until it lands on the… TCG cards in a transparent plastic bag.

“so, this is fun, right?” he sat down on the chair beside the table and motioned for you to come along, to which you face-palmed yourself, but followed along and sat in front of him.

..

“no way, cyno! i won that round! you only won because you put the die in your ass when it was my turn to roll! who does that!?” you exclaimed in annoyance.

it has been a few hours, honestly, you two didn’t even have the chance to keep track of the time because when cyno made you sit down on the chair, the game immediately started, and it made the both of you focus so hard, you didn’t realize cyno cheated.

“and how would you know, huh? why are you looking at my butt?” he crossed his arms and defended himself.

you did not get out of cyno’s house alive that night, neither did that die.

— ALHAITHAM

a faint knock from the door came ringing in your ears as you hurriedly prepared yourself for the school event, and your boyfriend, alhaitham, impatiently waited for you on the other side of the door.

you excitedly rushed your way to open the door knob, and smiled to see his muscular frame, crossed arms, slightly furrowed brows. it took you a little later than thirty seconds to admire his ravishing look in a suit and tie.

“took you long enough.”

“seriously, that’s the first thing you say?” you jokingly rolled your eyes at him.

“i’m kidding, you look lovely.” alhaitham affirmed and looked at you with his captivating green eyes. “so bewitching. i’m afraid i’ll have to guard you at all times, or other people will steal you from me.” he continued and chuckled.

he walked you to his car, and opened it gentlemanly just for you. you looked at him with a teasing glint in his eyes as he nonchalantly shrugged it off and drove the vehicle.

“alhaitham? this isn’t the way to school.” you looked out the window to see an unfamiliar setting. the reflection of the moon chased after you in the calm and seemingly asleep river.

“just a shortcut,” he gave a boyish smile. “to our prom.”

it took you long enough to realize that alhaitham wasn’t pertaining to the school prom. in fact, as you peered out the window of his car, you saw a glimpse of hanging fairy lights taped to the trees, making it seem like they were levitating. in the middle, there was a small picnic basket, along with a blanket big enough to cover a portion of the grass.

“picnic? at night?” you asked the silver-haired boyfriend, who looked at you with glistening eyes.

“that way, it’s just the two of us.” he answered back as you blush at his words, his nonchalant tone made you annoyed, because it seems like he didn’t know how big of an impact he is to you.

you hummed in response, your fingers fidgeted along your lap as you wait for alhaitham to find a good spot to park his car, the ghost of his hand lingered on your shoulder as it rested on you when he turned around to view the back window of the car.

he dashfully opened the door of the car to let you out, as he gingerly held your hand and kissed the back of it, which caused you to let out an endearing chuckle. you two walked on the small hill to where the picnic is.

when you both sat on the grass, you looked to your side to see a smiling alhaitham. your breath hitched by the way his now loose suit still perfectly hangs on his breathtaking frame. his eyes reflected the moon on the sky, and you looked at him for a little longer, letting this view burn in your mind.

“you did all this just for me?” you smiled coyly.

he leaned it, your noses touching each other, as he gently tilted your chin to make you look at him properly. alhaitham’s heart skipped once he saw how ethereal you looked. he slowly enveloped your lips in a soft and romantic kiss, his arms embracing yours.

“all for you, sweetheart.”
