Dear Self: 2018 has come and gone. you laughed, you cried, you sang and you danced. It was hard, sure and I know there were days that you really thought you would not make it through, but guess, what you did. And you know what, you came out so much stronger than when you started the year. A lot stronger actually. Be proud of yourself. You have a lot to be thankful for; you are so so blessed. It is with Gods love and strength that you have been able to persevere. I know you think you are not where you should be, but you definitely are. You’ve come a long way; so far from where you were. Trust in God and path he has put before you. There are countless adventures that you have yet to go on, things you’ve yet to experience. Those words from May, were no longer just words, but my reality. Once on stage, @josephzwanziger turned in my direction and pointed. Not sure who he was speaking to, I began to retake my seat. I'll never forget what he said next. "Yes you in the orange shirt. I have been given a message for you. God said that you were trying to choose what to wear this morning. He wanted me to tell you that he chose this shirt for a reason. Lately, You have been feeling that you have been forgotten or are not where you should be. He wants me to tell you that you are exactly where he wants and needs you. And he chose that shirt for you today. Like you, I️t is bright and colorful, like a reminder. Like the way you go through life; highlighting words and passages that mean something to you So that you can go back and reread them and share when the world needs reminding. He wants me to tell you, that’s what you are to Him- His highlighter. A reminder for his children that he is always there, no matter what.” Joe went on, each word speaking to me in a way that I have never been spoken to before. He said “He wants to remind you now, You are not lost or forgotten, that you are exactly where he needs you to be, on this path. Speaking his words and reminding the world that he is there.” Why tell you this now? Because on the night of October 1st, i knew that God was with us; I never lost my hope that we would be safe. So Jessica and I stood on the edge of the lawn, dancing and singing at the top of our lungs, without a care in the world; so when that world came crashing down, when the bullets started flying around us and when we had to run for our lives, never once did my faith waiver. I knew in my heart and soul that he would protect us. And it was that very message, while attending the women’s conference, that I carried with me during that horrific event. Passing on words from passages and prayers that i’d read and highlighted somewhere down the road, i knew that I was where i was supposed to be. Right where my Father lead me. December 1st, 2017. Today it’s been two months. Ive been going to therapy for eight weeks now and I can’t help but be overwhelmed with all these feelings. It’s got so many of my favorite things, I recently heard something and it resonated with me so deeply; ��courage is being scared to death and then saddling up anyway”. When I heard this quote, I couldn’t help but be taken back to two months ago, on October 1st. It’s hard to believe it’s been two months, and I have been internally struggling with living life as normally as I possibly can. Just trying to make it through each day, grateful and blessed that I even get the chance to live. I know I haven’t really opened up much about that night, so if I may, I would like to share with all of you a story. But first let me back track. In May of this this year, I attended the women's conference at @tfhvacaville. It was during this time that I experienced the most amazing and profound moment of my life. Kris Valloton of @bethel, was a guest speaker; he was speaking to us about receiving the gift prophecy. During Mr. Valloton's teaching on the prophetic word, he reminded us that the best way to receive the gift of prophecy, is simply to ask for it. He asked for us to open and extend our hands to receive. Seconds passed and as I lifted my hands to receive, I felt the slightest touch on my palm. It was so light; I immediately began to weep. With silent tears running down my face I knew, in that moment, that I had been touched by God. As we ended prayer and began to take our seats, Mr. Valloton brought up a few other pastors who had received a message for some one in the audience. @josephzwanziger was one of those pastors... #tobecontinued (at Route 91 Harvest Festival)

They say that over time memories fade; Time heals all wounds. I don't know about you, But I can still remember exactly where I was and what I was doing on this day, 16 years ago. I can still feel the wrenching in my heart as our great nation was attacked. I can still feel the fear and I still pray for all who were affected. #thankyou to all the brave men and women who serve and protect us; those who face those fears everyday.
