We are truly devastated by the tragic passing of John (Hone) Katipa; a fine actor, loving father and partner and a wonderful human being. John has been a much loved member of the KR Actors whānau for 27 years. Kathryn first met John as a young Toi Whakaari graduate and has represented him almost as long as she has been an agent.
John has uplifted our agency and his mana, booming voice and huge personality will be greatly missed. John’s career spans over two decades, working with Don Selwyn and He Taonga Films in the early 2000s, all the way to shooting an episode of The Brokenwood Mysteries last year, which is yet to be released.  Our hearts go out to John, his partner, his tamariki and his whānau. He tini ngā whetū e ngaro i te kapua iti. Many stars cannot be concealed by a small cloud.

Pete Smith passed away on Saturday 29th January after a long battle with kidney disease. Pete was an enormously talented actor with depth, dignity and charisma; a man of integrity and mana; and a loving father. He leaves a legacy of memorable performances and will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and love go to his family. Ko hinga he tōtara o tā tātau ao whakaari.

Always a ray of light and a well of positivity and fun, Francis will be greatly missed. Our hearts reach out to Francis and his family during this unimaginably difficult time.

We are very proud to officially announce that KIP CHAPMAN will be staring in the first episode of LORD OF THE RINGS. It’s pretty much the biggest show in the world right now. We haven’t even been able to whisper its true name in the office. One show to rule them all!
