march 10th, 2020 ( chapter 4 , week 2 )
sypnosis: The new year has just started– you’re moving into a place with your closest friends after reaching the peak of your career. Now that you can afford to live in Tokyo, you can finally spend time with your closest friends and go out on the town to further grow your YouTube channel. It’s time to have a new start in your new place and meet hot, rich people to be your possible future partner. This is the life to live; it’s great being famous and living in a big city with your best friends!
Wait, never mind– COVID-19 is in Japan? Fuck.
Well, at least there’s this one hot guy you keep seeing on Tik Tok who keeps posting about cleaning.
[ 9 : 02 AM ]
You were nursing a warm cup of hojicha to your chest in your favorite mug. Your legs were crossed atop a white modern-style stool by your kitchen island. This was your morning routine– you’d wake up (at some point), drink either some tea or coffee, and check your phone before staring out the window and questioning life.
There were many windows in your apartment. They spread out across the walls, giving the room lots of sunlight. You always pulled up the blinds in the morning.
Things were only getting more worrying in the news. Today, the government of Japan officially declared the coronavirus outbreak a national emergency. As of this point, there are 514 people infected and there have been 9 deaths in total. The emotional strain it’s taken on you is already terrifying. You’re seeing articles about the state of corona in China, and it’s even worse.
You text your parents a couple times every day, making sure they haven’t caught anything. Their growing age worries you. If they caught the virus, what would happen? You don’t think you could handle it. You’re too young for that right now. You look at the clouds in the distance through the window, the entire sky blanketed in a thick cover of gray fluff, offering wishes to the sky.
It’s getting warmer and more humid outside. Around this time, you were planning on buying a bunch of spring clothes for some new videos. You couldn’t leave the house, though.
But you didn’t mind that. You were just waiting for the end of this in a couple weeks. You wanted to stop worrying about your parents and about your friends. It was exhausting, looking at the news and worriedly going to the Phone app to call your parents to check if they’d left the house or if they started developing random symptoms.
You get knocked out of your anxious trance when you hear Hinata opening the door from his/Oikawa’s room and yawning a muffled “good mornin’” to you. You uttered one back to him, smiling as you finished the last of your hojicha and hopped of your stool to walk over to the sink, washing your mug and placing it into the dish rack.
“How was your sleep?” you ask as a way to distract yourself, heading back to your favorite stool.
Hinata was in the middle of grabbing bacon, eggs, and orange juice from the fridge for an American-style breakfast. He sighed when he heard your question. “See this bump right here?” he pulled his bangs from his forehead and pointed to the growing red bump on his head. “I hit my head again.”
You laughed at him, causing him to groan and release his hair back onto his forehead, fluffy orange curls flopping back down. “We should really get those shelves removed. It’s not like we use them anyway,” you said, pausing. “Hm. I guess we should remove them after coronavirus ends.”
Hinata just turned on the stove and placed a pan onto it. “Want some?” he offered, putting oil on the pan and waiting for it to heat up. He turned on the stove fan, so you listened as the machine whirred to life and started breathing in the delicious smells of fried bacon.
“Absolutely!” you thought for a moment before speaking up again. “Hey, why don’t we get some pool noodles, cut them, and then put them onto the edges of the shelves? It’ll protect your head at night.”
He turned back to you for a moment, his eyes brightening. “That’s genius!” Then he paused and narrowed his eyes at you. “Wait. Isn’t that what they do to babyproof a house?”
Laughing, you nod your head. “It would still protect your head, though! Maybe I’ll order some the next time you hit your head again.”
The ginger scoffed. “Please just get them now. You know I’ll hit my head again!” he complained before realizing the bacon finished cooking. He placed the bacon evenly onto four plates.
You watched his back as he moved around, grabbing one of the eggs from the carton. He cracked the egg open, gingerly dropping it into the pan as it sizzled and hissed in the bacon’s grease. Meanwhile, he plugged the (really cute) white retro-style toaster into the power outlet and plopped pieces of bread into it for the eggs.
You were very proud of this toaster. You gave it to them as a housewarming present before you knew you were going to move in, knowing that you wanted the toaster for yourself. You were glad that you inevitably started owning it.
Hinata made four plates for everybody and placed yours in front of you. Grinning, you told him to move close to the plate so you could take a photo to show off how great of a roommate you had. He smiled brightly behind the plate, putting up two peace signs.
It smelled amazing. These were the kinds of moments you were grateful for when you moved in. You were really looking forward to more of these moments.

Today is upload day! Starting last week, you’ve started to double the amount you normally upload onto YouTube. This, of course, means that you need to work twice as hard, but you’ve been stuck inside, so there’s not much else to do.
You’re waiting as your video uploads to your channel, sitting in the living room next to Oikawa as he edits one of his videos. He’s wearing blue-light glasses and a fluffy grey bathrobe that you gifted him for Christmas, sitting with his legs rested atop an ottoman and ankles crossed together.
He’s truly the epitome of a modern-day man. In his earbuds, his voice plays over and over again as he cuts and moves around clips of himself. You’re doing the same, editing a video for next week.
Today, you’re uploading a video for outfits in quarantine. You pray that the algorithm takes kindly to this. In your video, you clarify your update to your uploading schedule, and you tell everybody to stay inside and stay safe before giving them tips for outfits. Of course, all of the clothes are linked in your description. You aren’t a monster.
In fact, you’re wearing one of those outfits that you showcased in the video– some sweatpants and a mock neck sweater underneath your graphic-designed sweatshirt. Of course, you popped on quite a lot of jewelry. After all, “accessories are necessities,” as you always repeat in your videos.
Your hair is put in a cute and trendy hairdo– one stolen straight off of TikTok.
When the sound of your own voice and the sight of your face starts to repulse you, you put down your laptop and head to the fridge for a drink. “Hey, ‘Kawa! Want somethin’ to drink?” you call from the kitchen to the living room to ensure that Oikawa can hear you through his earbuds.
He jolts for a moment and pulls out an earbud in his panic. “Oh! Yes! Could you grab me a juice?”
You grunt out an affirmation before sitting back down next to him and handing him his mug. During this gesture, he also puts away his laptop and lets out a relieved sigh while stretching out his arms and wrists. “Have you finished uploading yet?”
You check your laptop quickly, seeing it at 58%, and then shaking your head. You pull yourself into a sitting fetal position on the couch, and you face Oikawa. “So, I talked to Kenma about doing some sort of Minecraft server thing with him and uploading it to our channels. Wanna join? I’ve already asked Tobio and Shoyo.”
Oikawa’s eyes widened. “A Minecraft server? Dang, I haven’t touched that game since 2015… but my builds were god-tier, so yes. Absolutely.” He finished the last of his juice. “Get ready to be pranked 24/7.”
This statement makes you cackle. “What makes you think that? I’ve destroyed you so many times in Mario Kart. I doubt you’ll be any better at Minecraft. Do you even know what a cave is?”
He rolls his eyes. “You only ever win because you cheat!”
“How is following the game’s rules cheating?!” You laugh as he accuses you.
“Stop placing banana peels in front of me!”
“Dude. Bro. ‘Kawa. I love you man, but you can’t blame the game’s mechanics for losing in this case. Accept that you suck.”
Oikawa ceases this subject matter because he knows he’s lost. “Anyway, when are we gonna do it?”
Craning your head up to the ceiling, you say, “Honestly? I’m not sure yet. Maybe about a week or two. Maybe when we’re out of this quarantine?”
He then crosses his arms together. “I wouldn’t bet on this ending anytime soon. I think it’s going to last longer than two weeks… Why are you so convinced it’ll end soon?”
“I don’t know. I guess it’s because I can’t imagine it lasting any longer. I don’t want it to,” you admit, bringing your gaze back down to the ground and groaning. “I’m worried about my parents.”
He pats your back to comfort you, and rubs your shoulder to ground you. “It’s alright. We’ll keep sending them groceries every two weeks, so they won’t have to leave the house. I’m sure they’ll be okay.”
Then, a notification sound knocks you out of your emotional state again. “Oh! It’s finished uploading!” You then get busy liking and responding to comments to distract yourself from your worries.
Oikawa glances at you and gives you a soft smile before getting back to his editing.

[ 10 hours later ]
You shrieked in your bedroom after checking on the video you just uploaded, a hand clasped over your mouth after the high-pitched noise. It was the dead of night, but your brain didn't even register that you made a horrifying noise.
Your brain was completely frozen, staring at the screen on your laptop.
Worried, Oikawa, Hinata, and Kageyama all rushed to your door and opened it in a panic.
"What's wrong!? Is there a pervert!? A thief!?" Oikawa screamed, holding up a lamp as a makeshift weapon.
Hinata was holding a plant. Kageyama wasn't even holding anything. He just looked sleepy, confused, and worried.
The ginger had definitely shuffled out of bed at your scream, and you could see a red bump forming on his nose from where he probably tried to get up in a rush to make sure you were okay.
"G-Guys. I reached three million views in ten hours!" You screamed, jumping off your bed and jumping for joy into their arms.
The three men were frozen for a moment, confused. This was before they started jumping with you, smiles of joy cracking open at their faces.
"Oh my god! We need to celebrate! Let's grab some champagne!"

sypnosis: The new year has just started– you’re moving into a place with your closest friends after reaching the peak of your career. It’s time to have a new start in your new place and meet hot, rich people to be your possible future partner. This is the life to live; it’s great being famous and living in a big city with your best friends!
Wait, never mind– COVID-19 is in Japan? Fuck.
Well, at least there’s this one hot guy you keep seeing on TikTok who keeps posting about cleaning.
As of today, the government of Japan has released news about the 2020 Tokyo Olympics–effectively delaying it for at least a year until the conditions of the pandemic wear down. However, the pandemic hasn’t stopped Sakusa’s TikTok from reaching scary numbers.
Sakusa didn’t know whether to feel surprised or not surprised. After all, he posted his short-form video at the perfect time. Those who didn’t have TikTok before were suddenly downloading the app (albeit mostly as a joke) and those who already had it were suddenly spending more and more time on it.
In the wake of the pandemic, Sakusa had unknowingly filled the niche that people needed– information. While some used traditional news sources, people of younger audiences needed an easier way to digest this information. So, Sakusa’s TikTok was highly favored by the almighty algorithm god.
The video he posted last night was a simple one. Some quick information about COVID-19 and then some tips to not get sick. He showed his entire process, step-by-step. Washing his hands, putting on gloves, and then wearing a hazmat suit to keep away from the dust and germs he was going to come into contact with.
He cleaned his home as if it housed a person who had the sickness.
So now, Sakusa’s holding his phone (protected with a Casetify™ phone case because it’s made to be antimicrobial #nonspons) and scrolling through the comments. When he’s done absorbing the contents and screenshotting the noteworthy ones with tips and tricks, he adds them to a subfolder in his new Google Drive folder for TikTok. Next to his new folder were old ones– gardening, painting, and modeling.
As of this point, Sakusa is no longer basking in the shock, but planning his next videos. Before he knows it, he’s written down three pages of ideas and has started drafting his next three videos.
He couldn’t lie. It was addicting. The comments asking him for a “part 2 pls” and the ones telling him that the information was “so useful!” and that they were “great tips for the incoming apocalypse” were making him feel way too many feel-good chemicals in his noodle.
Thus, after spending approximately three hours reading comments, taking notes, and drafting his TikToks, he put his phone face-down onto his nightstand, revealing his customized phone case.
There was an artsy aloe vera plant in the center, matching the aloe vera plant on his windowsill. A couple months ago, Bokuto ordered it for him. After coming to Sakusa’s house and meeting his aloe vera plant, he made a very excited statement.
“She looks just like me!” he exclaimed, enthusiastically pointing to his hair and then to the plant.
So, when Sakusa got a new phone, Bokuto immediately gifted this to him, saying that he could always just turn his phone around, look at the phone case, and remember that it’s “aloe-right”. Sakusa visibly frowned when he heard the pun, but he’s been using the phone case ever since.
Either way, Sakusa left his phone and went to go tend to his plants. He exited the door to his small backyard to face the fresh morning air, basking in the humid but still crisp, cold air. In his backyard, he built a small greenhouse so that his plants wouldn’t die during the winter. It would probably fit two very physically close people if he tried. He shuddered at the thought of being close to anybody during this time, but it didn’t matter. The greenhouse was only for his plants.
He was also despairing about the idea of having to go to the grocery store next week. He was running out of food, and seriously debating on whether or not he should start rationing his food like it’s the apocalypse. Maybe it is. Whilst watering his plants, he was lost in thought for the day. His bottom lip was tucked under his teeth, and his brows were drawn together in a begrudging hug.
But then, he realized. Going to the grocery store and showing his ways to stay COVID-free was the perfect TikTok video. It would be a win-win. People who saw his video would follow his instructions (so he wouldn’t have to deal with more germs than necessary) and he’d also have an excuse to make another TikTok! It’s perfect.
He quickly finished his work outside and washed his hands before typing his ideas onto his phone.

march 6th, 2020 ( chapter 2 , week 1 )
1.6k words
Tumblr media
Sakusa Kiyoomi would never define himself as somebody who is passionate about anything. He's not the type of person that would be love with anything or anyone. Sure, he's had a crush here and there, but it never developed into anything more.
He used to like Yasuda Asami-chan from Class 3. She was quiet like him, and would always use hand sanitizer before and after class. But that's about it, really. When his classmates would ask if his crush was pretty, he said, "Yeah, I guess."
But it would never be anything more. When classmates talked about their girlfriends in the locker room, they talked about growing old and having children with them. Sakusa realized that he'd never felt this way toward anybody. And even when he found a love letter in his desk, he only felt perplexed.
When his classmates got love letters, they're always excited!
And when Sakusa read the letter, he saw it was Yasuda Asami-chan from Class 3. Her handwriting was neat, and the love letter had everything that any normal boy his age would love. But still--even though Yasuda Asami-chan from Class 3 was his self proclaimed crush, he didn't feel anything.
He ended up rejecting her.
But it was strange--Sakusa found certain people attractive, but he just couldn't imagine himself in a relationship with them.
If anybody said that Sakusa wasn't worried about the situation, it would be a lie.
He was confused.
For a while, he brushed it off. But when Komori broke into his house, gushing about a girl he'd met and how he felt "butterflies" in his stomach, Sakusa still didn't understand.
For a while, he thought the saying "butterflies in the stomach" was simply that--just a saying.
The thought of a living animal in his stomach also made him sick to the stomach.
Maybe that's what people felt? They felt sick?
No, that can't be right..
After Komori continued to talk about his feelings to Sakusa, he confirmed that he has never felt this romantic attraction towards others that everybody else feels. To him, the simple idea of kissing, hugging, or doing the devil's tango with anybody makes him gag (if not hyperventilate). At the time, with the understanding he had extreme mysophobia, it made sense.
But still, Sakusa wondered if he just wasn't into girls.
He swiped through photos of conventionally attractive guys and felt no attraction to any of them.
Jeon Jungkook? Nope. Nothing. He also doesn't know how to wash dishes correctly.
Kento Yamazaki? No. Also confuses him. Looks too different in every photo. Are we sure he's one person?
Alright, Sakusa thought. He searched up "Top 20 Most Handsome Men" and swiped through it. Ah, he thought, here are the white people.
Jamie Dornan? That guy from the movie about the color gray or something? Absolutely not.
Brad Pitt? God, Sakusa hates beards. Hell no.
Chris Hemsworth? Like, that guy with the lightning hammers? Sakusa was confused. Next.
While looking through these lists, the frown on his face only got deeper and deeper. By then, he'd decided that he was probably both aromantic and asexual.
So, it was decided. Sakusa Kiyoomi has never been and never will be in love with anybody, because fucking hell, this was way too confusing and hard.
But to say he's not passionate about anything? That's wrong. Sakusa Kiyoomi is not in love with a person, but with something else entirely.
If he saw that in writing, he would be extremely disgusted. But it was the truth--Sakusa was in love.
Every day since he was a child, he had a set routine. Wake up at 5 am, brush his teeth, and then go exercise. Then, he'd go to school, do homework, and sleep at 8 pm. He grew up as a sickly child; he remembers his mom caring for him at his bedside when he was constantly unable to go to school nor outside.
This was when he learned about the existence of bacteria. He learned from school that there are good and bad bacteria, and that the bad bacteria would get you sick. So, Sakusa did the obvious and stayed away from those bacteria. Every time he would go anywhere in public, he'd wear a mask and gloves. He disinfected everything he came into contact with--even if he had on gloves. He avoided crowds like the plague, and tried to keep to himself as much as possible.
To keep his immune system in check, he's always on a strict and highly nutritious diet, and he made sure to have a strict workout schedule as well.
In fact, whenever he goes running outside, (which he tries to avoid, but does so as to get his daily Vitamin D intake in a natural way) a person always asks if he is an athlete. Of course, he isn't, but he takes pride in knowing he takes care of his health enough to be perceived as one.
The fact that he hasn't gotten sick since the age of six is worn proudly on his chest like a pageant ribbon worn by girls with overbearing, snobby parents.
If there was a person that was the essence of physical excellence, it would be Sakusa.
But when it came to emotional excellence, he was absolute trash at it. Now, I'm not saying he's outright stupid, but emotionally... he's stupid. He's horrible at handling his own emotions and horrible at navigating others' emotions.
Either way, when his parents saw him developing extreme germaphobic tendencies, they immediately got him a therapist to help him with his phobia. His therapist noticed his emotional issues, and they tried to help Sakusa navigate both his phobia and his emotions. But since Sakusa's parents really didn't give a flying fuck about his emotions, they wanted the therapist to hurry up with Sakusa's germaphobia treatment.
So, the therapist started from there. It was from there that Sakusa got his first taste of art and illustration. Sakusa knows he loves things that are beautiful, and since he was interested in anime as a kid, his therapist gave him a pencil and told him to start drawing his favorite characters.
At first, when he messed up and erased, the eraser dust terrified the five year old Sakusa. For him, it wasn't just the idea of germs, it was also tiny particles like dust and sand and dirt and eraser dust. Slowly, he found that his therapist was introducing him to smaller and smaller particles--those that he hated--and doing it by introducing him to hobbies that he ended up really enjoying.
But as he kept drawing in his free time--after school and during therapy sessions--he only got better and better. He was slowly able to sketch something he saw in his mind easily without having to erase. The sheer stubbornness he had when it came to his mysophobia was intense. He wasn't going to change his disgust toward germs just so that he could erase a line or two. Instead, he'll just get so good at sketching that he won't have to erase. Ever.
His therapist obviously noticed this and realized that drawing was no longer going to help him with his germaphobia. It helped a bit in the start, but his fear only served as a catalyst for his artistic ability. So, his therapist introduced him to gardening.
Sakusa absolutely hated dirt, but he loved flowers. There was something about the vibrancy of flowers that always captivated him during the rare moments he was outside.
After he started the hobby, (of course, wearing gloves and initially having extreme difficulty just being near soil of any sort and putting soil under UV lights to murder bacteria) his therapist noted significant improvement in alleviating his mysophobia. Fast forward a couple years--the large yard behind the house his parents' owned was alive with flowers and butterflies in a carefully planned garden.
And all of it was him.
So, Sakusa decided that he'd probably just garden for his parents for the rest of his life and draw in his free time. He didn't have any passions other than that.
What was the point of going to college? He knew his parents could just support him, and he didn't particularly care for the disgusting children on college campuses.
So, this was his reaction when some guy in a suit approached him with a proposal to start a contract at a modeling agency. At this point in his life, he was a little more comfortable around people without a mask on, but a stranger? Hell no. He strung one onto his face as soon as the stranger came within six feet of him.
Sakusa just politely accepted the business card with no intention of following up on the stranger's proposal until his cousin forced him into it.
After he got into modeling, this is when it was clear that Sakusa had a passion. Not particularly just for modeling, but for many things. But there was one thing in particular that drew him into all of these hobbies.
There was something about the routine of cleaning that relaxed him. Something about the routine of coming up with an idea, creating a draft, and then executing it. Something about the process of doing long research, finally purchasing, and then the cultivation period. Something about going through makeup, dressing, and then the flash of a camera.
It was the process.
Sakusa was so deeply in love with the process of cleaning, drawing, gardening, and modeling. The thinking behind it, the execution, and the results.
It drew him in so well that he was constantly submerged in the pleasantly dizzying but organized process of completing a process.
He'd finally found exactly what he wanted to do for the rest of life. Routine drove him, and the process of it relaxed him. He'll just keep repeating this process for the rest of his life, and he was perfectly happy with it. Every single each step of the list made him feel content.
He couldn't ever wish for more.
So why is he bored?

[ 9 : 24 am ]
After hearing about the Diamond Princess cruise ship fiasco last month, cruises weren't sounding so appealing anymore.
Ironically, just a week before news broke that the Japanese government would start testing all 3,011 passengers on the Diamond Princess, you were looking at cruise ship websites and debating on whether or not to buy a weeklong getaway for yourself this upcoming spring.
"An influencer needs her beach photos," you thought. Of course, this was only an excuse to spend a filthy amount of money on a vacation.
You had brushed off the Coronavirus situation at first, but after the school closings, fear swirled in your stomach like a middle-aged lady's wine on a Tuesday morning.
It's a little too easy to start worrying about your parents living in the Nerima Ward of Tokyo. Sure, there haven't been any cases in that particular ward yet, but older people are always at risk when it comes to sickness. You've already called them twice this morning. Once was to ensure that they had been disinfecting every single public surface they so much as breathe near; the second was to say "Never mind, just please don't go outside. I'll pay a person to send you groceries."
Your parents scoffed and told you that they would be fine. In return, you scoffed and sent them a person for groceries anyway.
Of course, they later complained about "the freshness of the bean sprouts", but you could care less.
But for now, you brush your worries away. As businesses and schools are closing down, there's a very clear opportunity to grab more views and possibly grow your following.
You'll text the group chat about it.

-10 minutes later-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Businesses around Shinjuku were all closing down, and it included the local 7-Eleven that Hinata worked at and the sports store that Kageyama worked at. Because of this, you, Hinata, Kageyama, and Oikawa are all in the large apartment, lazing around.
You had previously been in the living room, but the bickering from Hinata and Kageyama got too annoying. Oikawa learned his lesson weeks ago when he had been caught up in the fighting between the two. The concussion he received took two weeks to heal. So, he enclosed himself in the master bedroom of the apartment shared between you four.
Since all of you recently moved in, the bedroom in question had been a hot topic among your conversations with your current roommates. The room was oddly shaped--having acute and obtuse-angled corners instead of the usual ninety-degree corners that rooms tend to have. However, Oikawa being Oikawa, he was split between two things important to him: the biggest room or the normally-shaped room?
He would exclaim, "What kind of room is a triangle!?" between mutters of "What would I put in the corners?"
In the end, he decided on extravagance.
Inside the master bedroom contained the largest walk-in closet of the four bedroom apartment, which belonged to Hinata. While it seems confusing that a closet would belong to Hinata when the actual bedroom is Oikawa's... well, it is confusing, because Hinata put an entire extra-soft mattress into the walk-in closet and calls it his "room". He claims it is more comfortable, but also complains about hitting his head on the built-in shelves of the closet at night.
Anyway, you're currently sitting on your sheet-less bed, editing a video set to come out tomorrow. Because of coronavirus, you're planning on releasing double the amount of videos you normally do. The one coming out tomorrow is one for your vlog channel--sincerelyhoe.
You'd only started your YouTube channel a couple years ago, so the entirety of it was still relatively new to you. Of course, you had down all the core steps of video and content creation, and you even had a built-in YouTuber friend group! But as you thought about it, you realized that you haven't really had the full experience of being a YouTuber yet. Things like going to VidCon, getting cancelled, moving to Los Angeles, becoming completely stuck-up, having forums dedicated to hate towards you, and having children only to fully integrate them into a vlogging YouTube channel while basically using them as a money-making machine haven't been checked off the list yet.
Obviously, one of those things on that list is definitely preferred over all the others. But either way, the point is that you haven't had the full experience of YouTuber life.
But honestly, things are great the way they're going right now. You moved in with your best friends, you get free food, and you have extremely supportive and sweet subscribers. The place you live now is basically the best apartment anybody could dream of for someone in their early twenties. It wouldn't be horrible if you just lived your life like this until your eighties.
You're able to take in the entirety of the Shibuya cityscape from your bedroom in the shared high-rise apartment. It was a good choice to live on the 21st floor. You quickly open up the window to take in a deep breath of air, and then you take a photo for Instagram like the basic bitch you are.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As lunch time rolled around, so did Osamu, carrying three extra-large tote bags filled to the brim over to your apartment. Osamu placed his bags on your kitchen counter and started washing vegetables.
You immediately got to work as well, grabbing the cutting board and peeling the potatoes and carrots. "So, you're finally fully moved-in? Took you long enough," Osamu mutters whilst cutting up the potatoes you'd just finished peeling.
Rolling your eyes at him, you scoffed. "Well, it's because the three other gremlins that live here kept distracting me when I supposed to be moving in. They insisted on going out to eat almost every day!"
Osamu placed the cut potatoes into a bowl to save them for later. "Pft, I guess they were really excited to have you move in. Maybe I should move in, too." The following sound of him chopping the carrots was crunchy and satisfying.
"There's enough guys here already. Plus, wouldn't Atsumu be lonely?" You grabbed a couple cloves of garlic to mince.
Osamu, in response, sighed. "Today, that bitch kept whining because places are closing around town and he hasn't been able to book any photoshoots."
After the garlic was fully minced, you placed them into a small bowl for Osamu to use later. "If you start living here, you're going to experience just as much chaos. Actually, I think it'll be worse. Shoyo-kun and Tobio-kun have at least three arguments on a good day." You look out the window across from your kitchen for a moment, thinking. "Well, if you move in, you could move into my second closet..."
"Your second closet?" Despite his shock, he continued chopping the veggies.
"Yes, my second closet."
In your shared four-bedroom apartment, you had an entire room to yourself just for clothes.
Well, in actuality, the room was used for all sorts of your YouTuber needs. Both you and Oikawa filmed clothing videos in there, and Kageyama and Hinata occasionally used it as a new backdrop for their mukbangs.
But Osamu didn't question your second closet. When he saw your previous apartment, it was filled to the brim with clothes. It was all a mixture of the clothes you were designing yourself, clothes sent to you from different brands, and your personal collection from shopping. Your online name, "hoeforclothes" is named that way for a reason.
"...Does your second closet have any room for me to sleep there?"
"If you want to sleep on top a couple dressers and clothing racks, yeah!"
The conversation cuts short when Osamu's phone gets assaulted by a large number of notifications.
When he picks it up and smiles while reading the texts, you start giving him the all-knowing smirk. "Ooooooh, did Osamu start talking to somebody?"
He flashes you a warning glare before looking back to his phone. "No, one of my friends is complaining about my brother."

"Omi-Omi, please open the door!" Atsumu cries as he bangs his head against Sakusa's door.
As he says that, his phone pings with a notification.

Fuck no. Stay away you human germ. And wear a fucking mask.

(a/n): the amount that hinata, kageyama, and osamu make is actually supposed to be about 1 billion yen a year-- not 100 billion yen. it was a typo lol
but it was still intended that y/n would be exaggerating. in actuality, they make ¥550 million (~4.6 million USD), which is still a lot. they still split it between the three, though (depending on how much work each person has put into a video)

"What do you want to be when you grow up?"
It's a question that is asked to elementary-aged children until the end of middle school. For these children, a rising answer to the above question is "A YouTuber". Of course, this answer often changes as the children grow up; things like a parental, a financial, or a more realistic point of view tend to shape answers to life-changing decisions.
But as you're reading comments posted on your latest video, you realize that you've never once regretted your decision to post a highly embarrassing video onto YouTube three and a half years ago. Well, you regret it a little once you see a stranger's comment telling you that they paused for 10 minutes on a blurry frame of your feet in sandals.
Choosing to ignore that comment, you skip through multiple comments saying "FIRST" and "secondddd", seeing others that completely warm your heart. At the same time, the generic sound of an iPhone notification pings, and you look to the top of your screen to see a message from Hinata.
From: shoyo-kun ☀️🌞
Come over later for Thai food leftovers☀️
After flashing a small smile at that, you quickly answer the text and then turn your attention back to the YouTube tab ahead of you.
When you scroll down, you find a recommended video posted only 3 minutes ago from the Japan Times: "Japan Confirms First Case of Coronavirus That has Infected Dozens in China". It catches your attention for only a moment before you decide to get ready for eating free food at Hinata's place.
You toss on a blazer from the thrift haul video that you posted and decided that it was your new favorite jacket. After slipping on painful but aesthetically pleasing shoes, you pick up your keys and an inconveniently small (but also aesthetically pleasing) handbag.
The apartment you've called home for nearly four years is now extremely empty. It's starting to look like how it did when you moved in--boxes strewn all over the place, each one labelled something or another. You moved some of those boxes to your car--filling it to the brim--to drop it off at Hinata's. After all, it's your new home.

Later, Osamu knocks on the door to the bathroom. "Hey, you okay in there?"
Your legs were numb from sitting on the toilet for so long. Your insides burned.
"No."

introducing sakusa kiyoomi x reader: social media (is a pain in the ass) - a kkanabel production
The new year has just started-- you're moving into a place with your closest friends after reaching the peak of your career. Now that you can afford to live in Tokyo, you can finally spend time with your closest friends and go out on the town to further grow your YouTube channel. It's time to have a new start in your new place and meet hot, rich people to be your possible future partner. This is the life to live; it's great being famous and living in a big city with your best friends!
Wait, never mind-- COVID-19 is in Japan? Fuck.
Well, at least there's this one hot guy you keep seeing on Tik Tok who keeps posting about cleaning.
