A simple white cardboard container decorated in teal and purple ribbons. On the top tucked underneath the colored strands was a slip of paper. Colored in inky black and etched in gold lettering. The words "Birthday Coupon" imprinted on it.

Inside was a collection of items. Of course there was the faved almond tofu. However this was also paired with some other treats and quaint items. Including sunsettia fruits, tea leaves, sticks of peach wood incense.

"I was also told you didn't care to celebrate it too much. Aiya..but how could I not at least present you with some gifts? You should visit the Parlor more. I'm sure you presence will be most welcome there" ~

A light flush brushed the yaksha's cheeks as the box of goodies is placed inside of his arms. He was unused to receiving such things from anyone. Much less from people he knew. Offerings were made sure to him often at Wangshu but this was different. There was thought and care put into it and he felt a little overwhelmed.

"I am unused to receiving such things on a day like this. You did not need to do such a thing for me." But he also knew there was no changing the directors mind when she put a thought into it.

He was not much for public appearances. But he could consider visiting in the near future. "I will think about it."

Golden hues look to the piece of Mora in the others gloved hand. He thought for moment as they shifted back the glitter mora inside of the fountain. There would be no harm in accepting the small gesture from the other as he gentle takes it from the others hand. "Thank you...I will decide what to do with it at a later time." How odd he too wore gloves. Another similarity between his archon and this sovereign. "It is true we Adepti wish nor need little. But even one as myself wishes for something." He would never speak what it was out loud. He did not want to seem ungrateful.

He tucks the piece of Mora into a small bag that was hidden in his waist belt. He was ready to leave for now.

"I do not wish to linger longer than needed....there are still mortals left in the plaze...I do not wish to inflict them harm being closer than I need to." Even with the medicine he took regularly and the now real vision lingering on his arm he still feared for the safety of those who were not protected by a vision themselves.

Though the small ones who wandered around seem very unaffected by him. "The little ones...they are new. I heard one of them refer to themselves as a ... Mel...o-zine?" He struggled with their name. He did not mean any disrespect he just did not think he heard them addressed correctly.

Ah, the reminder that the once powerful Archon sought it fit to masquerade as a human with a false vision was humorous, but Neuvillette beat down the urge to chuckle or even let slip a smile with a hand raising to his mouth and a clearing of his throat. He had only just extricated himself from a situation where he had been less than polite and he did not intend to find himself in another one.

It is said that even tears would return to flow through the fountain, and there is a tradition of throwing coins into the waters to make wishes. I do not particularly understand such a sentiment, but it's rather harmless fun, don't you think?" The Iudex would pause a moment, pondering, before pulling a single Mora from his robes and offering it to Xiao.

"You needn't partake now, but if you become curious you may use this coin." In truth it was quite strange thinking now how he held the very flesh and blood of the man he'd just insulted but unfortunately there was little to be done about that. Morax invented the Mora as a means to facilitate trade in Liyue and it has since spread through all of Teyvat. There simply was no way around it.

"I don't know what an Adeptus would wish for, but I suppose even immortal beings have desires they wish to see fulfilled, even if engaging in an odd little mortal practice may not result in much."

"Now this is a surprise." The yaksha looks down from his usual perch on Wangshu during his vigilant patrol. Listening, sensing across the plains. In case there is any disturbance that would cause harm to his home. "You do not usually stroll this far away from the Harbor. What brings you to the plains?" He questions curiously as he lands on the boards of the outlook deck.

The appearance of the director of the Funeral Parlor in these parts were rare unless it was to drag him out to somewhere he wished to not go. "Are you on your way to see a client?" He asks curiously.

"You are starting to fret over me like Cloud Retainer has." He simply states as he looks at the other adeptus. He was unused to such attention from the three but the last few years of attending Lantern Rite after thousands of years of not doing so had made him more appreciative of company.

"I am better than I have been." He came to join the other at one of the tables. Taking a seat. "You do not need to worry. The mortals here at Wangshu take very ample care of me." Though they did not need to. They chose to. Especially Smiley. "I have not seen you leave your abode for some time. Why the interest in this Lantern Rite?" He questions curiously. It was not every day all three older adepti left their mountain homes.

"this one had has his fair share of festivities within Latern rite. Have you been well? Does one need more tofu before this one departs? This one abundance of mora had caused this one to spend more then needed..."

Her excitement could be considered contagious but he chuckles as watches her for a moment. "Kites have long been used in various ceremonies of Liyue. But for this year a festival known is Lantern Rite they have chosen to use them to honor one of the adeptus of our home." He was sure the small one would fit right in with Qiqi and Yaoyao.

"Hold tightly onto my hand we will go." Rising back up to his full height he offers his hand to her. He was going to teleport with her in hand back to the high mountain of his aunt's domain.

Sitting he waited for her to come to him as he he tlt kneels down to her height. "Are in interested in kites?" He questions gently. "My aunt...is hosting a class to make them would you like to join my cousins ?"

Klee wasn't expecting to see Xiao in Mondstadt like that, but oh boy was she happy about it!

"Big Brother Xiao!" the little girl squealed excitedly, running to him and watching him kneel. She found that funny, there was no need but he always wanted to meet her on eye level! Soon he explained what he was there for...and Klee's eyes shined like the most precious jewel in the world "I loooove kites! That would be so much fun!"

"I would love to join with you all!" Archons have mercy, this kid was already so full of energy about it. She already had plans to make the best kite possible!

"I can tell your words are sincere. There is no need for you to apologize. " He had been rather known for his blunt sharp tongue. It seemed it got the better of him just now. He just wished to enjoy himself and the sights of somewhere that was not Liyue for even a small amount of time. "Though...if you two were to meet once more he likes the name Zhongli now." He didn't see the harm in revealing that. It was a name he too was adjusting to. He kept slipping up and calling him the other titles of the past. Morax or even Rex. It was a good reminder to himself too as his thoughts were taken by the waters in the fountain again.

Turning away from the Iudex he focused on the waters inside of the fountain again. "Are your legends true that all the waters of your lands gather here at this fountain?" He questions curiously. Wishing to learn more about the Nation of Justice than focusing on his own homelands.

"When we depart I will follow your lead. You are more familiar with the scenery here more than I am."

"Lakelight Lily..." Well that was a simple enough thing to find and the Iudex knew just the place to look, but before he could set off on their path he found himself a bit flustered as Xiao laid out his terms of engagement. They were perfectly reasonable, he understood exactly where the Yaksha was coming from with them, but their existence highlighted his own impropriety which left him feeling a bit embarrassed at his earlier actions.

"I had not meant any offense. Truly, I have no intentions of letting my past with Deus Auri affect my perception of you, nor do I wish to place you in an uncomfortable position. However, in my haste to seek my own comfort I seem to have crossed a line and that was highly improper of me. For what I hope is the final time, I apologize yet again, and if you would continue to have my company I do know where you can find that which you seek nearby."

Honestly my favorite part of Lantern Rite this year was Xiao spending some much needed quality time with his dad. And they flew a kite together it was the most precious thing.

But also Zhongli telling him to come visit him more often. I will just hold this dearly to my heart.
