      a 1940s film noir-based character set just two years after the war as America begins to establish itself further as a national superpower-- donald grayson is your average everyday white american man-- of course, he stands out differently compared to his peers. why? well--

       he actively fights for the rights of minorities-- for people of color, for the LGBT+ community, and for women and so much more!!! while he can’t handle going to the frontlines of protesting and meeting groups due to his undiagnosed PTSD from the war, he writes books in honor of these people and tries to normalize this in the conservative american sphere-- which helps him figure out himself in turn!!

      he’s a dude that’s confused with his own sexuality and romantic preferences, and while he struggles to really identify himself, he explains that despite that, he ‘swoons’ when seeing a fellow man dressed in a uniform, or a woman in a beautiful gown... or someone considering themselves in between or neither being able to dress up how they’d like, or when someone that wants to be a different gender can finally feel comfortable with themselves!! all of that gets him SWOONING!!! AND EVEN SEEING T HOSE THAT MAY NOT ENJOY ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS, OR THOSE THAT DONT ENJOY SEXUAL ASPECTS OF THINGS, BEING ABLE TO JUST??? THRIVE AND BE HAPPY?? IT MAKES HIS DAY.

      he stays in a humble lil home in the city of chicago and tries to readjust to civilian life, working as a writer under the initials ‘G.G.’ (’Goodness Grayson!’) while he hopes to find love and possibly start a family as he tries to cope with his PTSD from the war, during his time in the 101st Airborne Division.
