Snake And Otacon Courtroom Sketch - Standing for Their Crimes

Joan Baez' "Here's to You" is a sensational track, and one that made Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes introduction that much more impactful and salient. However, originally Kojima planned to use the piece in MGS 4, in a scenario where Solid (Old) Snake and Hal Emmerich (Otacon) are synonymous with persecuted, and executed, anarchists Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti. Although still utilized in MGS 4's end credits, I do believe it loses its gravitas with the way the ending was changed (plus I prefer Joan Baez' original rendition).

Although I am happy with the ending we received, I wanted to pay homage to Kojima's original vision, which I do feel is more emotionally impactful, and true to how radical political actors are treated (Just look at Edward Snowden).

Kiryu and Haruka - Emotions Unrestrained [Yakuza 6: The Song of Life]

After playing Yakuza 6, I was left stunned when I realized that not ONCE did Kiryu embrace Haruka after all that happened through the story. There may be some cultural barriers when it comes to this, but you can bet your bottom dollar, if I was in that position I would be doing much like this piece, and bawling my eyes out when finally reunited with a loved one thought lost, and holding them tight.

My other feelings toward Yakuza 6 notwithstanding, I wanted to dedicate a piece for something I've been waiting to see for a while. Maybe we'll finally get some physical and emotional closure in Ryu Ga Gotoku Infinite Wealth?

Izuru and Chiaki - Patience - Danganronpa: Extra Life

It's pretty funny my favourite characterization of Chiaki Nanami is based on a fan fic, but nonetheless, I wanted to dedicate a piece to it. I feel like the writing's greatest success, is the fact that it capitalizes on the entire Hope Vs. Despair dilemma better than the anime by focusing on how Junko's entire philosophy is bunk, and teaching Izuru, and thereby the audience, while reality may be boring, it's the will to live in the face of adversity that makes life interesting; Chiaki's intense desire to stay alive, for the sheer want of enjoying time with her friends, is a deeply relatable one, and perhaps one of the most necessary for humankind. Thus, it makes sense why such a naked display of innocent outpouring to Izuru as she lay bleeding after her 'execution' makes so much sense, at least to me.

Also her death made me sad :(.

Encounter with XIII - Shadow of the Colossus

Probably one of my favourite game titles of all time, Shadow of the Colossus stands as a titan in the PS2 catalogue, and one that had far reaching impacts on the gaming scene that still ripple to this day. Team ICO please make another game, and soon please! Take your time, but at least give us a teaser trailer or something, especially considering it's SOTC's 18th Anniversary.

although I'm not as satisfied with this piece as I was with the Juri Han project, I think it serves as a showcase of where my skills currently are, and what shortcomings I seek to improve upon. Although I appreciate the sketchy look my art has now, I know that I should be aiming for cleaner lines, so I'm going to start experimenting with brushes, and consult online resources to see how to best encapsulate what I visualize my art style manifesting as.

Juri Han [Street Fighter 6] - A Captive Audience / December Patreon Popular NSFW Poll Drawing Winner

I really like how this piece turned out, the only thing I really wish was different was my schedule, but I think it's understandable given the circumstances. Juri Han's new outfit is absolutely amazing, especially compared to her relatively mundane skintight suit in SF V. The baggy pants and purple notes are great callback to her SF 4 outfit, but the new flashes of teal and smart wardrobe decisions really make this one of the best looking fighters in the roster, at least imo. I apologize if I've been a little heavy handed with how many skinny and fit female characters I've been hyperfocused on, I should do more bara and stuff, those buff men in fiction deserve some time in the Juunyar spotlight as well, make sure to keep a lookout for those bulging muscles soon!

Little Mac - The Underdog [Punch-Out!] An innovative mix of puzzle, action, and rhythm gameplay, alongside iconic music, Punch-Out is one of the best Nintendo IP's, they should really make a new entry.

Although some posture the country caricatures as racist, I'd say that Punch Out isn't a series about punching down, or using these stereotypes in a discriminatory manner, so instead of becoming offensive or in bad taste, they're sort of a celebration of each country's differences, but how nonetheless we are all equally human and deserving of respect and goodwill.

I was inspired to do this by the on-going Art Contest on r/LittleMacMains, please enter if possible, it's a wonderful community about the little Bronx kid who could.
