Am I the only one who hopes Dru won't be a swordswoman? because as all the main female characters (except Tessa) are swordswoman, it's a bit boring in the long run

#controversial opinion but I didn’t enjoy TID as much as I enjoyed the other trilogies (and TMI) #for me I found it really hard to get into Clockwork Angel #and by the time I got to clockwork princess I was so ready to be finished with the series that I did what I had to to finish it #clockwork Prince was probably the main book that I REALLY got into and enjoyed the entirety of 🥹🫶 #(and don’t get me wrong I still liked the infernal devices) #(just not as much as TDA or TMI or even TLH) #(still cried like a bitch at the end of clockwork princess though)

manifesting the Blackthorns have the nastiest, most nauseatingly angsty epic train wreck of a fight in TWP. perhaps in the second book or whenever they all find out about Livvy. like it's awful and you can't look away as they're all at their worst with the people they love the most, who they would do and have done anything for. it's the bloodiest fight any of them have ever been in and there wasn't even any weapons involved, just words they didn't mean and cannot take back. like they all care so much about one another but things have changed and none of them cope with it at all so instead it all just. blows up. like Ty only ever wanted to keep everyone together and go back to how things were, but instead he's the one who inadvertently fractures them; the unavoidabe fate of Blackthorns siblings.

Ok don’t get me wrong, I love domestic, post-TDA Blackstairs (I adore them all in all) but you have to admit their angst in TDA is absolutely unmatched

Okay so an oversight brought to my attention in this post I made (admittedly at 5am when I was still half asleep) is that may have implied that there’s going to be critical TWP information in the Sebastian/Seelie Queen short story in Better in Black — which was absolutely not my way of thinking! When I say it’s going to be a ‘helpful companion’ to the Wicked Powers, I don’t mean I think it’s going to have groundbreaking data that you have to read to understand TWP. That would be unfair! I just mean it might supply some interesting background information, if that makes sense? LORE! I’m always excited for lore.

I for one am very interested to see what the Sebastian and Seelie Queen short story is about because think of the LORE we’re going to get? I don’t think Cassie’s including them because anyone asked for it specifically. I think she’s including them because it’s going to be a helpful companion to The Wicked Powers.
