Today, I'm the AIC for my office while the director and senior managers are out of the office. Hopefully, the building doesn't catch on fire.
Whenever the director is out of the office, there’s a line of succession for the administrator-in-charge (AIC). I realized that because the director and many of the senior managers are taking vacations/sick days, there are only two people between me and the directorship.

Blind Narrator?
Can’t find the original post but is there a book or fan fiction with a blind narrator?

I brought in Miracle Berry tablets to work today. My coworker thought we’ll all get poisoned or worse and be out of work after lunch. But lemons have never tasted sweeter.

If an organization tells you not to write “See Resume” on your job application, we mean DO NOT WRITE “See Resume” ON YOUR JOB APPLICATION.
Oh, don’t plagiarize from a website either.

Overhearing a conversation between my coworkers on how he pulled his hamstring:
A: Did you trip?
B: No. I was running...well not running...
A: Were you jogging?
B: No...not jogging...more like trotting. I’ll just limp along like a zombie pantomime the rest of today.

In the 30 minutes that it took me to drive from work to home, the outside went from a beautiful sunset to the set of The Mist.

I started a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle today. After 30 minutes, most of the edges were done. Mom saw it and told me to slow down. Specifically, she wanted me to wait until my brother comes to town before moving forward because the whole point of doing the puzzle is to talk to one another.

My department is having Winter Office Olympics next week. We have 3 teams: the Guardians, the Incredibles, and the Wonders. It’s times like this that I remember how competitive some of my coworkers can get.

At work, I give myself high fives for clever jokes, cultural references, and anything else that helps me get through the day as positive reinforcement. My coworkers see this, and one in particular pretty much dies every time.
I’ll never stop.

Deciding not to buy a box of liquor-filled truffles crushes my soul like that one time I decided not to buy 6 bars of dark chocolate to make chocolate decadence from Food Wishes.

Whenever I ask for a day off, my supervisor and coworkers ask if I’m going somewhere, and I’m like, “No. I just want to sleep in.”

I was in the car with my mom at night and saw sparkling lights out of the corner of my eyes. I told Mom that it’s hard to believe that a store would already have their Christmas lights up. When we looked at it closer, I realized that it was the reflection of the headlights of all the cars stuck in traffic with us.
