I'm rewatching Log Horizon since Crunchyroll now has all seasons and yes, it is one of my favs, if NOT the fave isekai, I didn't entirely remember just how good it is~

Like yes, it goes pretty deeply into how MMORPG's work but it's not about abusing those systems via cheats, glitches or deus ex machina by one person, but building a functioning society with every online player at the time of a game update being isekai'd in there. Thousands and thousands of people, who wanna go home, or absolutely don't wanna go home, or are undecided. Battles aren't that common but when they happen, they don't happen with OP'd special attacks but because the characters were good team players and everyone knows their role.

Yes it has main characters and A main character, but there is a reason they are such, being guild leaders and active players, those who stood out even when the world was only a game.

With the changes coming to crunchy role, I'm rewatching Log Horizon before I cancel my subscription. And I got to yell you, it's so freaking good. It's not perfect, but it's both a very clever show that really thinks about it's premise and explores what it would mean to be stuck in an MMO on a social level. Watch Log Horizon if you haven't already.
