Jane Eyre in #ACOWAR

(Contains spoilers for ACOWAR) 

You know that scene where Lucien talks about Elain and the “thread” that is connecting the two of them? And how she says it felt like he had pulled on “a thread tied to a rib?” 

That’s LITERALLY FROM JANE EYRE. It’s Rochester talking to Jane. 

And it gets better. Because you know when Rochester finally gets Jane after he initially has to let her go? After St. Clair proposes to her? It’s when he is BLIND and can’t see anymore. And over time, eventually, he’s able to see out of just one eye.

So what I’m saying is Az & Elain are going to do their thing but the end game is going to be Lucien. Lucien whose only “real” sight is in one eye. Because it’s fated. And it’s Jane Eyre references.

It’s not nearly perfect and I’ll probably go back to fiddle with it some more, but I’m liking how it turned out. Especially the splattered star spirits :P
