I have Abit of a theory the gibdo and redeads in previous Zelda eras like the era of time (Oot and MM) are insect like monsters that make their hives in bodies or something like that and manipulate them to protect the hive (like living suits of armor in delirious in dungeon)

but by the time of botw and Totk same which like each Zelda game we see a lot of monsters evolved since their introduction to adapt what happens in game: the gibdo and redeads are no exception to this

and by the time of botw and totk the gibdo and redeads may have evolved in which they no longer are small bugs that need a corpse or something to make hives in and move around, and since in OoT and MM it shows that both gibdo and redead at the time were bodies controlled by monster sentient insects as link can talk to them when he has the respective mask on

Yes in MM we see the Gibdo curse but we do see curses turning people into insects in OoT the golden skulula curse… so the father in mm was probably was cursed and his mind was turning into a gibdo’s which at the time were just insects in a body like hive hence why he was crazy and looked weird

Further to give proof that this theory could be canon leads to the gerudo cemetery and the yiga outpost book about it:

- if the gibdo once were insects that made hives in bodies it makes sense why they would make a home/hive like location at a old cemetery as for why they are in the caskets is we see hyrule’s sentient monsters in botw and totk do their own thing before link shows up and for gibdo ambush is their best way of getting food, hiding in a casket in a abandon cemetery is a great way for ambush.

- the yiga booklet mentioning the gerudo cemetery says this: if you want the treasure you must face the wrath of the executed.

This might play in what twilight princess’s Gibdo and sheikah redeads in OoT were of course execution grounds or torture areas would be a prime area for corpse monster insects at the time to find bodies to make hives out of as there would be a lot of bodies for them to use, and redeads and Gibdo seek out those areas instinctively as part of their old pre evolution form which was a small hive centred insect

So as a result cemetery’s like the gerudo one would have been a good area for a hive or grouping of Gibdo to be top it off the gerudo cemetery isn’t far from arbiter’s grounds or the thunder temple which is the main hive location before Gibdo queens made their homes in the depths after the queen at the thunder temple was killed

So the Gibdo and redead are insects that during the era of time could manipulate bodies as they have hives in them and if wearing their mask people could understand them

By the time of botw and totk they lost the need to use bodies for hives but stick around cemeteries or temples as grave robbers or even fellow monster exploring the depths would be a great form of food via ambush from a casket like a trap door spider, each Zelda monster has a survival like strategy laying in wait looking like a corpse is the gibdo and redeads

Top it all of their flying and queens confirm they were insects like monsters all along and they look like mummies when molting

And if a human gets ‘cursed’ by the Gibdo curse their mind becomes like a Gibdo without a ‘queen/master’ to serve and even if they are sane they start to turn into a Gibdo just like the skulula house family with the golden skulula curse

Imagine if they do a dlc for TotK and we can get a gibdo mask or something that makes us look like a gibdo to interact with them

I find it weird that they are the only monster that doesn’t have a mask or passive to link item that and that aerocuda’s can’t pick up link if he has the bokoblin, lizalfos or Majora’s mask on

anyone wanna talk about how gibdo are very obviously dead gerudo and how in totk specifically ganondorf uses the corpses of the gerudo he ruled to torment the gerudo who oppose him anybody wanna talk about tha

I just like capturing as I play monster hunter stories and feel so bad killing monsters that don’t deserve it plus you get better rewards for capturing

Then I found out in world the monster you capture then do a arena with it it’s the monster you caught so I capture that one too to avoid killing as capturing a monster in the area counts

It just annoys me when I say I have a trap and the hunters keep trying to kill the monster despite me saying in call out I have a trap or don’t kill it even signalling the trap location

This is why I headcon for my monster hunter headcons that monsters that get caught are released after being peacefully studied and observed at in the arena or if a injured monster or youngling is found it is taken to the arena to heal and be raised and released back into the wild

As hunters if we over hunt can affect the ecosystem the stronger monsters hunt in it’s shown in MHW how hunters can accidently affect a monsters feed grounds example: the legiana to get into the rotten vale, and many other instances in ice borne.

Herbivore and omnivore monsters need to eat, but so do the apex monsters like rathalos and if you hunt too much of the monsters that a apex preys on then you got a issue as the apex will start trying to find food in other territories even going for villages and etc.

So please people: CAPTURE YOUR MONSTERS THAT CAN BE CAUGHT! It won’t kill you and I have gotten gems from monsters I caught as a reward.

Last thing I googled….uhhhh: I think it was looking at fanart of Disney pain and panic as well as neurosis and then I swapped to looking up GOOD (not creepy or etc.) fanart of hypno from Pokémon and then looked up fanart of Babblong from Yokai watch in the Japanese version of its name too due to seems if you look up your fav character in Japanese you get some nice fanart

My obsession as of late?: uhhhh too many animes like fluffy paradise, apothecary diaries, delicious in dungeon, for video games you can ask my friends I have almost 4 boxes of shiny pokemon from pokemon scarlet and I have a lot of hours put in TOTK (and botw and pokemon sword before scarlet and TOTK came out) too.

Last book I read: does reading manga online count or does fanfics count as I been reading this great fanfic fanfic called rage against the calamity would recommend

Current obsession - Metalocalypse. I’m having extreme brain rot about it. It’s just a brutally amazing show.

The last book you read? - The Giver by Lois Lowery. I read it in class for a unit. It was a great book with a really interesting yet sad concept.

(I had to reblog this because it was lagging to type before I did hope and paranoia’s Pokémon teams)

Just like their siblings their Pokémon are headcon themed or fit with their personality or hobbies etc.

Here’s paranoia’s Pokémon and team:

Due to he is the care taker of the underworld hounds even having a personal one like how out of all the harpies neurosis has avara, paranoia has ashen (sometimes ashes) so I gave him a boltund.

He is also shy and nervous around new people so Pokémon that run away from players fit him perfectly.

He as a nanny squad in Pokémon terms: his kangaskan, drowzee (which later become hypno), seviper, and bombirdier all protective of him and his other Pokémon and will fight against anything to protect the pre evolved pokemon.

His morgrem fell in love with him at first sight, but i forgot to mention this before all of the Pokémon teams here have a form in the impidimp line as they are related, paranoia’s impidimp and panic’s, pain’s, hope’s and neurosis’s are all related to hades’s grimsnarl. So when paranoia’s morgrem tried to confess his love to him it realized paranoia is it’s trainer and paranoia he is interested someone already someone not from the Disney characters side of this Pokémon au of mine, he still protective and respectful of his trainer despite his love confession was basically was turned down ^^;

Smoochum is actual hope’s smoochum’s older sibling, and she joined paranoia saved her from pokemon poachers when they we asleep, and paranoia freed all their trapped pokemon.

And lastly time for baby hope’s Pokémon team updated:

Hope is very caring and hates fighting and all her Pokémon can use healing moves or are used for medical purposes, also due to her sweet nature baby Pokémon just come to her, and adult Pokémon are protective of her, that was until she stumbled onto….silally

She found it injured and her plus her Pokémon heal it, after that it adopted hope and her Pokémon as it’s family and ‘babies’

Yeah it was funny when hope came home with silvally which is considered a legendary pokemon, her brothers were shocked and hades was like: oy vey…..

Hope also has this weird tendency for calming down rampaging wild Pokémon, or they’re protective of her as she doesn’t discriminate on Pokémon (neither do her brothers) who need help and will drop what she is doing to heal a injured pokemon

So I made a update version of my Pokémon au teams for pain, panic and neurosis, and their OC little siblings paranoia and hope as well as for hades too.

But I’ll explain abit about how each character is with their pokemon, and the Pokémon choices are based on my Disney Hercules headcons.

Also the green travel buddies on some of the Pokémon mean that, the Pokémon that has the green dot means it’s basically like ash’s pikachu and is always with them travelling.

Let’s start off with pain:

Most of his Pokémon choices are due to my headcons example: blitzle and tsareena is basically due to my headcon of ship of pain x Pegasus and pain x tele (oc).

pain is accident prone so he has a lot of caring or healing or just protective pokemon.

Most of the choices are to fit with pain’s personality and hobbies especially from headcons: he likes to cook and bake so an alcreamie fits perfectly, where as munchlax and impidimp remind me a lot of pain in body shape and colors.

And since in my headcons he is the caretaker for the hydra where as panic is for Cerberus, neurosis is the harpies, hope is pokey’s care taker (the families pet gold fleece sheep), and paranoia take care of the underworld fire hounds (basically they’re ares’s dogs of war breed but underworld and look abit like Cerberus only one head but sometimes have 2 as that is a 50/50 chance of happening when breeding them) so that’s why he has the three headed dragon Pokémon ^^;

Time for neurosis:

Like pain most of my choices revolved around headcons, hobbies from said headcons or from canon show or movie and that the Pokémon reminded me of or would fit well with the character:

but neurosis’s goodra and frostlass fight constantly as like ash’s bayleaf they love him, but abra has neurosis’s 24/7 attention due to it’s basically a baby, most of his Pokémon are used in the anime or games to help relax pokemon so he has a lot of fairy or grass type as their sweet scent from their flowers helps him focus.

neurosis is also very stealthy as in his episode he goes almost unseen till phil sees him when Hercules was fighting the man eating mares, so Pokémon that are stealthy, fast or hard to see or notice are the best choices for him

His dusk lycanrock is a reference to my ship for him: neurosis x mayhem (oc) and floette is a reference to: neurosis x clover (oc)

And his frigibax is from my headcon he can breath a cool mist like breath and breath fire but he’ll mostly use mist breath to make people nervous.

And the bravairy is referring to in my headcons his pet harpie: avara

Ok now for panic:

Most of his Pokémon choices are like neurosis and pain’s from my Disney Hercules headcons or they fit with the character.

Like neurosis panic has Pokémon have moves or have a tendency to help to relax and focus, he however also has Pokémon that like pain are protective of their trainer.

Scyther and finizen are referring to my ships: panic x Hermes and panic x Lethe (oc)

Panic is show in the series to be a good fighter so Pokémon that aren’t that strong pre evolution but after they evolve are most of Pokémon like chardet, frokie, etc.

I didn’t give panic a Pokémon to reference the family pet Cerberus where as pain and neurosis as well as hope and paranoia do have a reference Pokémon for their family pets they care for, because hades own mostly Cerberus, but I gave him leafeon as it’s grass type smell helps him focus.

Dispute his Pokémon’s looks His Pokémon are very parental and gentle  with hades’s kids and their Pokémon. And if you seen my headcon that hades’s is pain, panic and neurosis, hope and paranoia’s father you would know hades’s was as good adopted parent till his bipolar temper disorder got the best of him, but pain and panic (later neurosis, hope and paranoia) learn hades really doesn’t mean it as he will check them over for injury if he hits them by accident while in raged.

So I made a update version of my Pokémon au teams for pain, panic and neurosis, and their OC little siblings paranoia and hope as well as for hades too.

But I’ll explain abit about how each character is with their pokemon, and the Pokémon choices are based on my Disney Hercules headcons.

Also the green travel buddies on some of the Pokémon mean that, the Pokémon that has the green dot means it’s basically like ash’s pikachu and is always with them travelling.

Let’s start off with pain:

Most of his Pokémon choices are due to my headcons example: blitzle and tsareena is basically due to my headcon of ship of pain x Pegasus and pain x tele (oc).

pain is accident prone so he has a lot of caring or healing or just protective pokemon.

Most of the choices are to fit with pain’s personality and hobbies especially from headcons: he likes to cook and bake so an alcreamie fits perfectly, where as munchlax and impidimp remind me a lot of pain in body shape and colors.

And since in my headcons he is the caretaker for the hydra where as panic is for Cerberus, neurosis is the harpies, hope is pokey’s care taker (the families pet gold fleece sheep), and paranoia take care of the underworld fire hounds (basically they’re ares’s dogs of war breed but underworld and look abit like Cerberus only one head but sometimes have 2 as that is a 50/50 chance of happening when breeding them) so that’s why he has the three headed dragon Pokémon ^^;

Time for neurosis:

Like pain most of my choices revolved around headcons, hobbies from said headcons or from canon show or movie and that the Pokémon reminded me of or would fit well with the character:

but neurosis’s goodra and frostlass fight constantly as like ash’s bayleaf they love him, but abra has neurosis’s 24/7 attention due to it’s basically a baby, most of his Pokémon are used in the anime or games to help relax pokemon so he has a lot of fairy or grass type as their sweet scent from their flowers helps him focus.

neurosis is also very stealthy as in his episode he goes almost unseen till phil sees him when Hercules was fighting the man eating mares, so Pokémon that are stealthy, fast or hard to see or notice are the best choices for him

His dusk lycanrock is a reference to my ship for him: neurosis x mayhem (oc) and floette is a reference to: neurosis x clover (oc)

And his frigibax is from my headcon he can breath a cool mist like breath and breath fire but he’ll mostly use mist breath to make people nervous.

And the bravairy is referring to in my headcons his pet harpie: avara

Ok now for panic:

Most of his Pokémon choices are like neurosis and pain’s from my Disney Hercules headcons or they fit with the character.

Like neurosis panic has Pokémon have moves or have a tendency to help to relax and focus, he however also has Pokémon that like pain are protective of their trainer.

Now faba’s hypno x faba’s alakazam ship may be a thing

Hi! So, fun fact about the Pokemon Sun and Moon anime you may or may not know!

Faba's Hypno is transfem! [Albeit not directly stated]

In the games, Hypno have sexual dimorphism when it comes to their neck fur. AMAB Hypno has short, scruffy neck fur. This is how Faba's Hypno was at the beginning of the anime! [See below]

However, as the anime progresses, we see said Hypno's neck fur grow longer—

— and become more tame... Until eventually

The fur matches that of a female Hypno to a T.

Living with mama Seph:

Hades and Persephone were standing at the underworld dock with the imps as Persephone was about to leave.

Hades crouches down to Neurosis, his missing third son but due to the past abuse he went through before in the hands of Misery’s care, before being reunited with his biological family.

some stuff that came up Hades was having a hard time…

“Remember Neurosis your going to go with mama Seph to recover from your PTSD from Misery’s abuse…me and the boys can visit, as the underworld has too much things that can trigger your PTSD” Hades explains and tries to comfort his yellow imp son who was holding a bag of his belongs.

Neurosis whimpered as he didn’t wanna leave but Hades having to yell to get others to notice that they should be working, didn’t help his problems…

“Hey it’s okay like dad said we can visit and Pokey is going with you~” Panic explains as he hands his twin the family’s house pet sheep’s leash.

Neurosis nods sadly as Pokey licks his hand to get pets which he gladly does “you guys will take good care of Avara right?..” 

Pain hugs his little brother “Yeah we will”

“Neurosis? Are you ready?” Persephone asks as she gives her half children a hug and picks him up.

Neurosis takes a deep breath and looks back at his brothers and dad “yeah…”

“Remember we’ll visit~” Hades waves goodbye along with Pain and Panic.

With that Persephone teleported her, Pokey and Neurosis away to her home outside the underworld.

(Later)

Neurosis was surprised at Persephone’s home, it had a beautiful garden and a pen/fenced area that is attached to the house for Pokey, and some outside toys for whenever he and his brothers came over to visit.

Persephone put Pokey in the pen so she can graze on the grass “come on Neuro~ let’s get you settled in”

Persephone had to admit when she put Neurosis on the couch: the boys usually spend 1-3 nights here but Neurosis was going to live here till he recovers, so she didn’t make a spare room for him or his brothers as they normally slept on the couch.

“Stay right there and unpack your bag~ I’ll go make you a room” with that Persephone left the room leaving Neurosis to settle in at his own pace.

Persephone smiles like the underworld palace. It wasn't hard to renovate the house for new rooms, Persephone smiles as she grows the furniture like she did for all her furniture.

“Now he just needs a bed…” said Persephone as she opened a furniture magazine for ideas on how to grow the furniture.

“A hanging bed~ hmmm maybe I should get a cloud mattress and put something like a railing to keep him from falling out” Persephone thinks as she makes something like a hanging cradle.

“There we go~” Persephone smiles as she puts on a cloud mattress and puts in some soft blankets.

“It looks like a little nest~” the goddess of spring coos cutely.

She then hears the soft pitter patter of one of her adopted children, as she turned around she saw Neurosis peeking into the room.

“Do you like it honey?” she asks as she walks over and picks him up.

Neurosis looks around the room he was going to be in while staying here, and slightly clings to his second mama “uh huh…”

(flashback)

Persephone never got the full story about Neurosis’ past but Hades told her he was abused mentally and physically, some stuff she knew Hades told her stuff he found out: Neurosis has issues with things like enraged or being called yelling and whistles especially for calling pets, he has a bit of a sleeping on the ceiling habit that Persephone knew about experienced first hand, Neurosis has as well an EXTREMELY sensitive stomach from the physical abuse from Misery, he hates the dark and being alone, and when he gets stressed or overwhelmed he hits himself especially in the chest…..

Persephone frowned as she remembered Hades told her that a few days after Neurosis failed his mission despite Hades and the boys telling him that he’s family and it wasn’t his fault. He was reminded of his failure by a random monster and Neurosis started to hit himself and not just his chest… and when Hades grabbed him to stop him Neurosis BIT HIM saying in tears he wasn’t good enough and he was punishing himself…

Haded then punished that monster for reminding Neurosis of his failure and told Neurosis that his punishment right now was being turned into a imp blanket burrito till he was feeling better….Persephone sighs as Hades told her Neurosis didn’t make him nervous from the bite probably due to Neuro knew it was Hades and was probably just his fight or flight instincts that told him to bite as Misery would he just grabbed him and….then hurt him.

(flashback over)

A sound snaps Persephone out of her thoughts when Neurosis whimpers and holds his stomach as it growls again.

“Oh is my little imp hungry?” she asks and gently hugs Neurosis.

“Yeah…but what can I eat?” Neurosis frowns sadly hating his sensitive tummy.

Persephone smiles “well I didn’t make special animal feed and fruit and veggies for high metabolism creatures of the Hercules kingdom for nothing sweet pea~” 

Neurosis gives an awkward smile forgetting Persephone made special feed for animals, and growable crops for the Hercules kingdom’s high or low metabolism people and mythical creatures and demi humans.

They enter the kitchen and Persephone sits Neurosis on the counter then opens the fridge “any craving honeycomb?”

Neurosis thinks for a few mins then shyly asks “seafood alfredo?” 

Persephone smiles as she pulls out a seafood mix from the freezer, she had to admit she loved how most kingdoms in the disneyverse had modernized like the Hercules kingdom, and she knows Hades and the boys been and have taken trips to disney’s japan branch once in a while and learnt/love japan recipes, they all laughed when Panic realized after he tried actual sushi and that he actually likes it.

Persephone knows Neurosis loves noodle dishes so seafood pasta tends to be his one favorites.

Neurosis' tail slightly wags happily; his tail had the swirl due to how he would curl it around a pole while sleeping upside down while in Misery’s care.

“Wanna help mama?” Persephone coos as she boils the seafood mix.

“O-ok how can I help?” Neurosis asks as he starts to hover fly which he started to get better at since he has been reunited with his biological father and siblings.

“Do you want some mushrooms? Or do you wanna get any pasta you want and sauce from the pantry?” Persephone asks as she gets some veggies for the side.

Neurosis nods and goes to grab the stuff needed.

(later)

Persephone smiles as she holds Neurosis up as he stirs the sauce and seafood together, sticking his tongue out in concentration.

“Is this good?” Neurosis asks softly as he looks up at his half mother.

“Yep now lets, let it simmer~” Persephone coos as she sets him down on the island in the kitchen.

Neurosis nods shyly as a loud whistle from the pot of boiling water for the pasta, Persephone was turned around when she heard Neurosis’ breathing change to a faster pace after she added in the pasta which was spaghetti pasta into the pot.

“Neurosis?” she asks as she turns around, and sees the yellow imp hitting himself while hyperventilating.

“Neurosis?!” The goddess of spring quickly grabs a blanket from the table and wraps it around her ‘step’ child.

(what's going on in Neurosis’ mind as the whistle from the pot triggered a PSTD panic attack)    

A loud whistle-like tune fills the dark room as footsteps are coming closer to a door. 

Neurosis feels his mother forced into her fountain trapped in the barrier.

The door opens as a figure enters the room and a pair of yellow eyes with red irises glare down at Neurosis, he whimpers as the figure grabs him and drags him over to it.

“Time for your 5th beating of the day~” the figure reveals its sharp teeth, as it knees Neurosis in the gut.

Neurosis gives loud pained grunt sound as the air inside his lungs was knocked out and he was thrown to the floor, the figure started to punch, kick, verbally abuse the imp.

Neurosis whimpers as the figure stops.

“Look plague look at your son, wait till I figure out how to get to those inside your ‘cursed’ realm~ Im still looking for those two that were there, when I ‘killed’ and cursed you~, then I find out this….MISTAKE wasn’t my child!” the figure points to Neurosis 

Neurosis pants as he coughs up some incore, when the figure points at him when he yells he was a Mistake…

The figure then throws down a sack of leftover/rotten food “here's your meal you PATHETIC MISTAKE!”

Neurosis then watches the figure leave the room which in reality is a cell, and locks the door.

The barrier that kept his mother from interfering with his ‘punishments’ as Misery the figure that was just in the cell would give him.

Neurosis says nothing, as incore drips from some cuts from Misery’s claws, he reaches down as grabs an apple core and bites into it, he wanted to cry but last time he did Misery didn’t feed him for a week…

And his cousins who he thought were his siblings, were as well abused for giving him something to eat, or helping him in general…heck he remembers hearing Misery beat one of his cousins and his aunt Sorrow for just talking out of turn…

“Neurosis… my little baby…you're not a mistake…” a female voice speaks.

Neurosis looks up at his mother as she starts to help his regeneration to heal his injuries, he feels the cool water from her form she uses to interact with him, helps the burning from the cuts, soothe the bruises and aching bones.

Neurosis whimpers as he watches his mom go through the food Misery gave him to see what was REALLY edible and what was too far gone for consumption….sadly there was only a small pile of actually edible.

“Here…you know mommy doesn’t need this, and she can filter some water for you to drink” his mother says as she gives Neurosis the actual edible leftovers and a glass of water she filtered from the mud water Misery gave Neurosis to drink and ‘bathe’ with.

“Thanks mom…” Neurosis whispers as he eats another applecore… he wants to sleep but Misery slammed his head against the floor a lot when he ‘punished’ him this time. He must have a concussion and he shouldn’t really sleep…

Neurosis felt his mom’s water-like form hug him close, he knew one thing Misery wasn’t his father and his mom told him about his REAL father and REAL siblings….and they just needed the right opportunity for him to escape Misery’s domain.

Neurosis felt his mother hum a lullaby to comfort him, as he let the tears he held back fall as he was used to crying silently….

(back to the present)

Neurosis snaps out of his panic attack when he feels the blanket wrapped around him and him being held close and tight with the sound of a heartbeat in his ear.

“Neurosis… your not in Misery’s domain….mommy has you….the whistle was from the pot, I forgot that, that pot's lid makes a whistle when water is boiling in it” he hears Persephone’s soothing voice.

Neurosis looks up at his ‘step’ mom and starts to cry, which always happens when he gets out of a PTSD panic attack.

Persephone uses her ability and manipulates some plants to finish making their dinner, as Neurosis starts to make distressed impling cries.

Persephone and Hades found out that after Hades’ trail for the titan accident, which Persephone found out from the family to go doctor Hippocrates and Travia that: Pain, Panic and Neurosis were FORCED to grow up mentally as implings before their bodies could, meaning despite they can enter heat cycles and drink alcohol, their new powers they inherited from Hades caused the boys’ BLOCKED impling tendencies to resurface…

Persephone and Hades noticed this when the boys when frustrated or upset, or embarrassed would cry or tear up, they get tired and need naps once in a while, they would make impling sound when upset, and they been going to the bathroom a lot more to go do their ‘business’ Hades even told Persephone that he’s surprised that none of them had an accident yet.

Persephone sits down on the couch and pats Neurosis’ back and rump as his cries start to die down to sobs and hiccups.

The goddess starts to hum a soothing tune, and she hugged Neurosis tightly till he settled down.

Persephone smiles as she runs her hand though Neurosis’ fire orange hair “Feel better now honeycomb…~” 

Neurosis just nods and gives a soft sound and hugs his ‘step’ mom’s hand as she sits on the couch.

“Do you wanna watch one of your anime shows?” she asks as she remembers since Hades’ first trip to disney japan the boys and Neurosis started to watch anime.

“Yeah…” Neurosis whimpers as he watches Persephone grab the tv remote and open the tv anime streaming app and select on Neurosis’ account.

“It's called sweetness and lightning? Right?” she asks as she selects one of Neurosis’ animes he liked and were on his ‘my list’ .

Neurosis smiles and wipes his eyes as he hears the voices of the characters, Persephone smiles as Neurosis loved this slice of life anime and when Hades asked why? Neurosis responds was the father in the anime was like Hades before Persephone came into his life, and him and this brothers were like the little girl as before Persephone came into their lives, and Persephone giggles to herself as the teen girl who cooks with the widowed father and his daughter was a lot like her in helping Hades with the boys. 

She smiles as Neurosis gives her a soft smile and lets her put him on the couch “mommy will finish supper~ you can watch your show~”

“Oki~” Neurosis chirps as he hugs a bit of the blanket.

Persephone smiles but when she is in the kitchen out of his eyesight frowns sadly “why doesn’t he smile like his brothers?....Hades said he tried but… Neurosis doesn’t seem to know how to smile or laugh much…. Is it because he’s still recovering from Misery’s care”  

“I think that's going to be my goal~... I wanna hear what he sounds like when he laughs and smiles without being ‘fake’ for the sake of me and his dad, and siblings..” Persephone whispers to herself as she stirs the pasta.

(later after supper is ready)

Neurosis watches from the living room. Persephone sets something up for him, he pauses his video he was watching and walks into the kitchen to see Persephone put together a high chair.

“Mama? You know I'm not a ‘real’ baby right?” Neurosis asks worried as technically he is a ‘baby’ still according to Hades when he told his brothers are too, something about how they’re impling hood was like: for him it was abuse from Misery 24/7, for his brothers it was trying to live without their mom for a while till Hades found them.

Persephone looks at him and smiles “your father said you're a messy eater due to you not having much experience with forks & etc. and I witnessed it too”

Neurosis whines and his horns droop as she had a pointed one of his habits since he started living with his biological family: he has no idea how to use utensils and usually needs a bath after each meal before Hades and his brothers started to spoon feed him curtain food like oatmeal, but let him eat finger food himself.

Persephone finishes putting together the highchair and picks Neurosis up from the floor and slides him into the high chair.

“There we go~” Persephone coos as she puts a bowl of seafood alfredo for Neurosis on the table top of the highchair.

Neurosis slightly drools at the sight of the pasta meal, and he feels something tie around his neck.

“Huh?” Neurosis blushed when he saw a bib with a little duck on it around his neck.

“I’m sorry honey I don’t want you to make much of a mess and have an early bath time” Persephone explained as she spins around a fork in the pasta, then also puts a bit of sea food and a piece of mushroom on the fork and offers it to the yellow imp.

Neurosis knows the routine when eating: let yourself get spoon fed and if you're up for it when you're half way done and still hungry you can feed yourself, All due to how messy he gets as well alongside with his stomach issues.

Neurosis Opens his mouth as Persephone puts it in, he happily chews it as his tail swishes around like a happy puppy.

“I’m taking that happy tail wag means it's good~” Persephone giggles as she gets another forkful ready.

Neurosis nods as he knows it's not nice to talk with his mouthful, he swallows and opens his mouth again.

Persephone giggles as Neurosis tends to not really talk when eating, but later on Hades found out that that reasoning was due to Neurosis’s past abuse…he had to eat quickly and quietly.

“Honey you know you can speak right?~” the goddess asks softly as she feeds Neurosis, another forkful.

Neurosis looks down thinking before softly speaking “why?…”

“Well you can tell me more about yourself sweetheart, like any interests?” Persephone asks as Neurosis swallows, she’s used to understanding others when they’re mouths are full of food due to Pain’s eating habits.

Neurosis looks at his hands unsure of what to say “I like drawing or making my own things…”

Persephone gives him another forkful of pasta “really~ now I think I should get you some art supplies and DIY things~” 

Neurosis giggles and opens his mouth after swallowing for more.

(after supper)

Persephone just has to laugh as Neurosis’s appetite is when its is one of his favorite foods, which she learnt he stops limiting himself and pushes himself when it comes to food he likes which honestly any food due to his past never getting to eat fresh or homemade meals, but he still paces himself especially if his stomach acts up.

Neurosis pouted as his face and the bib was covered with some sauce, but that wasn’t why he was pouting, that reason was his stomach was growling from digestion from the TWO servings of pasta he just ate.

Persephone giggles to herself as Neurosis rubs his slightly bulging tummy to try and get it to stop making sounds. 

“Grumpy tummy~” she asks in a teasing mother tone?

Neurosis blushes and sulks as he rubs his belly as it growls again ”very grumpy…”

The goddess of spring giggles and scoops him out of the high chair, she then cradles him in one arm as she grabs a clean face cloth next to the sink and wets it with warm water.

Neurosis smiles softly as his ‘step’ mom wipes his face clean, he feels her take off the bib and put it in the kitchen’s laundry wash bin.

“Besides grumpy tummy~ are you full? You ate past your limit~ you're getting better at that~” Persephone beams proudly at her ‘step’ son.

Neurosis coos happily then whimpers as his stomach growls and cramps from overdoing it while eating.

Persephone starts to rub his belly as she walks to the kitchen cupboard “honeycomb I know this will sound bad but have you gone yet today?”

Neurosis sulks at that question, he had some bathroom issues as well of his sensitive stomach, his bladder and bowels were messed up from Misery’s abuse….they were weak as a baby’s…he would remember getting startled and having an accident.

“Not since this morning….” he whines slightly.

Persephone frowns and opens the cupboard and grabs a baby bottle, Neurosis watches his step mom fill the baby bottle with some purple like juice.

“What’s that?” Neurosis questions as Persephone screws on the bottle’s top and shakes the bottle in.

Persephone smiles as she slips the bottle pass Neurosis’s lips, Neurosis gives a startled yelp as the juice leaks out from the bottle nipple onto his tongue: it tasted sweet yet tangy.

“Just drink this it will help your bathroom issues~” the goddess coos as she shifts Neurosis into a cradle position like a baby being fed a bottle of formula.

She then heads to the living room and sits down on the couch still cradling Neurosis

Neurosis struggles to get a rhythm on sucking the bottle, but eventually figured it out and started to drink from the bottle like a little baby.

“That’s it~ good boy~ mommy is so proud of you~” Persephone coos as Neurosis suckles at the bottle.

Neurosis blushes at the baby talk he was hearing as Persephone held him as he drank from the bottle.

As he finishes the contents of the bottle Neurosis can feel his stomach cramp.

He removes the bottle and whines “Mama…”

Persephone pulls out the bottle and lays Neurosis down onto his back, and rubs his belly “it normal~ now stay right there while mommy gets your ‘night protection’ “

Neurosis pouts when she said, then looks at the tv while laying on his back as he remembers about what his ‘night protection’ is….

(flash back to after Neurosis’s doctors appointment)

Neurosis was sitting on an examination table, Hades had taken him to Trivia who told him that Neurosis was going to need some medical assistance and that they should visit the underworld and the Hercules’ kingdom’s best doctor on demi humans, humans and monsters alike: Hippocrates.

The examination went well and Hades told him what Trivia told him what he thinks about what's wrong with Neurosis and his brothers after their Olympian and titan powers were unblocked.

Hades brought Pain and Panic to Hippocrates two days before he did Neurosis mainly as it seemed Neurosis was way worse, But Hades held back bringing Neurosis in with his brothers due to he was more nervous then normal due, also due to Hades knew there was a lot of people and monsters and demi humans that would upset or trigger a PTSD attack for Neurosis.

“Well Hades it does seems Neurosis’s bladder and bowels are weak, But Trivia theory is right: just like how Pain and Panic’s bad impling hood was, Neurosis had a hard Impling hood lots of: physical beatings, mental abuse, lots of verbal abuse… I seriously think that's the cause of his PTSD'' Hippocrates explains as he writes stuff down on a piece of paper.

Neurosis looks confused as the family doctor continued.

“Like his brothers it seems he ‘forced’ himself to ‘grow up’ aka he blocked his impling tendencies aka his baby or child tendencies to seem or act more mature…now those impling tendencies are resurfacing especially after their titan and Olympian powers were unblocked” the doctor explains more. 

Hades then thinks “so they’re still considered ‘teens’ or ‘adult’ but due to they forced to ‘grow up’ they’re bladders, bowels and emotions are like a babies” 

Hippocrates nods “basically they never had a proper impling hood and note this is a common thing among orphans or children who were mistreated as kids”

“You know you're not helping me…I used to hurt Pain and Panic with my flames…” Hades looks sad as he felt like a horrible parent.

especially considering he did tell his wife Plague who made him alpha of her harem which is the titan and greek imp term for family so she’s just the defender of the harem, and Hades was the Alpha was to find more mates to join but…usually the greek imp aka who decides if the mate of the greek imp’s main mate if they’re right for the harem: like they’ll help with the house work, help provide for the harem, take care of the kids and stuff alike.

So when Plague was defeated by her half father: Misery and was ‘killed’, Sorrow Plague’s mother told Hades about Plague being trapped in a crystal which will be but into a fountain which would semi free her but keep her bond….

Sorrow also told Hades she was the only one to leave Misery’s domain which was similar to Echidna and Typhoon’s domain…but after Hades Managed to get Pandora Sorrow’s adopted daughter and Doubt Sorrow’s son out of Misery’s abusive care and took them in and one of his top to go monsters took care of them for him.

But after that Misery started limiting Sorrow’s interactions with her sister Echidna and the last time Hades seen Sorrow was…when he got Neurosis….he hadn’t seen his ‘mother-in-law’ since…no doubt Misery was keeping her from leaving…

So when Hades told Sorrow before Sorrow as was forced by her abusive mate to stay home, about Persephone and to have Sorrow tell Plague about her, and when he got Neurosis Sorrow told him Plague is glad Hades found a second mate and a second mother figure for their kids, as well glad Neurosis will be reunited with his brothers she was forced to separate from him.

Hades frowns as he remembers how many times he flamed in rage and hurt Panic and Pain… and when they triggered their titan and olympian powers that He had found out by the fates that  Plague used a potion and gave them to the boys to block those powers as it worked like the mortal potion he Gave Hercules, the powers would only unlock if the one who the potion was used on sees someone they care for: is in danger or hurt, They will regain their blocked powers to protect the people they care for. 

And when during his trial for the titan accident: the boys titan and olympian powers came back to protect him from Zeus who despite being told not to hurt Hades by their mother Rhea, Zeus attacked him…but this revealed that like Rhea and Hades tried to tell Zeus and Hera after they helped Misery ‘kill’ and curse Plague that Misery tricked them that Plague after they all attended and got drunk at Poseidon and his wife’s ‘marriage’ party, that drunk Zeus knocked up Plague and her child is his, so Zeus and Hera agreed to help Misery as He told them he had a spell that would deal with the ‘Accident’ children…..

But in reality Hades was the father of Plague’s children and he was, yes, drunk along with his girlfriend when they did it. Hades told his girlfriend that he’ll take full responsibility, even told her he was going to ask her to be his queen… but Misery knew Hades was the father and wanted to control his ‘step daughter’ Plague’s children like he did his own wife and children… This caused Plague to run away…

“If Hera didn’t distract me….Plague wouldn’t have to flee…and the boys impling hood would be good.. There has to be a way I can help them” Hades frowns in his head.

Hades is snapped out of his thoughts of how he can bond with his boy when he hears Hippocrates speak.

“I do suggest you put Neurosis in diapers as he’s far more likely to have an accident and to protect the bed sheets, his comfort sleeping toy or even if he was to sleep with you or his brothers” the doctor explains to Hades.

“And if he starts to hurt himself with his talons, claws or just any way of self harm. Put mittens and claw proof socks on him, as for biting use a teething toy like Pain has for his stress and upset biting ....” Hippocrates continues as he gets his jar of lollipops and lets Neurosis pick one. 

Hades smiles as Neurosis picks a lemon flavor one.

“As for his PTSD attacks and if the mittens and socks fail….just make him an imp burrito” Hippocrates explains with a smile and rubs Neurosis’s back.

Hades nods and scoops up Necrosis and they leave.

(end of flashback)

Neurosis hears Persephone coming back into the living room, with a diaper bag.

“Do I have to wear my ‘night protection’?...” Neurosis sulks as his stepmom sits on the couch and starts to pull things out of the diaper bag. 

Persephone frowns as Neurosis’s whines as another cramp hits his stomach “yes because after this your going for a nap…~”

Neurosis just watches as he sees the diaper in his mom’s hands, and as she slides it under him, treads his tail though a hole in the back, and applies some baby powder to the diaper area, and lastly pulls up the front and fastens the side tabs.

“There we go~” Persephone coos as she then reaches into the diaper bag and pulls out a footed and mitted onesie. 

Neurosis sits up and pouts as his diaper crinkles and the babyish patterns of a harpy on the front softly smiles as Persephone helps him into the green onesie.

Persephone grins at him as with a onesie on it was hard to see the diaper and his ribs, plus the mittens and footed parts of it kept Neurosis’s talons and claws from accidently hurting himself during a PTSD attack.

Persephone smiles as she hears the microwave beep and leaves for a few mins and comes back. 

“Here we go, your cuddle buddy, is all warmed up~” she then handed Neurosis a bean filled duck plushie which was warmed up in the microwave to Neurosis.

Neurosis hugs it and places the warmed up plushy to his belly and the cramps disappeared, and his eyelids grew heavy from the warmth.

Persephone wraps Neurosis and the plushie up in the blanket he was previously in, and rests his head on her heart, she lays down and watches the anime Neurosis was watching before and Neurosis nods off watching the anime with half lidded eyes.

Persephone runs her fingers through Neurosis’s flame red hair starting to get it out of its straight up style to a nice flat slightly messed up look, Neurosis purrs as his step mom after flatting his hair starts to gently brush down between his eyes down his nose.

Neurosis lets out a drowsy yawn from the feeling, before he feels something slip into his mouth. After that yawn, he closes his eyes and hugs the plushy and nods off.

Persephone smiles as Neurosis snuggles against her chest by her heart to hear the heartbeat, she can’t help but giggle as she hears him suck the pacifier she slipped into his mouth. 

She kisses his forehead and pats his rump and back. 

“Sleep well my sweet little Neurosis~” she coos.

I actually made this a story and posted this originally as a one-shot but more ideas for chapters came up so I posted this on wattpad and plan to add more chapters to it, with this story being the first chapter.
