Ok so this Halloween was my first time becoming cat!

I finished my low budget very amateur cosplay, but I think it looks awesome when it comes together. I wasn't able to figure out a wig, so I leaned towards the earlier style of the musical, when they weren't so fluffy

Well I got a few weird looks at school from 🌟 uncultured swines🌟, but everyone who knows loved it💕💕

I'm super excited to start a CATS COSPLAY PROJECT WEEEEEEE(⁠・⁠∀⁠・⁠)

I tried cosplay last year for Halloween, to the best of my abilities and with my nonexistent budget. But I've come back stronger, more determined and with the power of tumblr on my side!

I don't know how everyone gets those one piece suits,so i have to work around that. I'm also learning to do the makeup, even though I'm not getting face paint. I tried experimenting so I would love any thoughts or ideas(⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠)⁠♡.

Today, I made some sketches for the design, so again, I would love any thoughts, ideas and criticism.

But also, if anyone has any advice on

How to dye an afro wig,

I'd be really grateful ❤️

I also have no idea, how to make a tail, but I found a tutorial, so we'll see.

This footage is worse than bad but this moment was cute. After Tugger and Misto walk to the end of the stage, Misto lifts his hand for a highfive. Tugger refuses at first.

(probably because Misto zapped his tail earlier. there's a moment in 98 where Misto nearly zaps Tugger and Tugger sniffs him out similarly:

so I wouldn't be surprised if that were a thing in this performance too and I missed it because *gestures at footage*)

Misto switches from a highfive to one finger, and Tugger reaches out to tap their fingers together: cue the most inexplicable cut to the psychic twins I have ever seen (??) but you can see Misto run back to the tire in the background after a second.

Whatever happened there, when the camera cuts back to Tugger, he's staring at his hands, both surprised and happy, and the audience laughs. I can only assume that Misto didn't -for once- zap him and he's very pleased about it!

Brno 2013

This show is notable as the characters themselves are not cats, but humans. It takes place at a masquerade party in a nightclub, and there are changes to music and story throughout. At the end, Grizabella is reborn as a kitten (played by an actual kitten) 

The show opened May 11th 2013 and ran for 41 performances

Oh my god this is GOLDEN. I'm so happy videos like this exist so I can remind myself how beautiful this production of Cats is! I was really sad when the show closed in ndm(National theatre of Moravskoslezský region) and this is literal therapy(⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠)⁠♡ ༎ຶ⁠‿⁠༎ຶ

In April, I made these plushies of Mr. Mistoffelees and Rumpleteazer. They might not be perfect, but they'll always be my little babies (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠)⁠♡

I actually made them for two performers in Cats Ostrava. I gave them to them last week. The two wonderful performers, Alžběta Trembecká(Rumpleteazer/Tingl-tangl) and Michal Klapetek(Mistoffelees/Abraka-Máryfuk) came to meet me after the show and were so lovely. They were so excited, grateful and moved by the gift.

This experience and Cats in general is something I'm sure I'll never forget 💗

Also they look so good in their costumes. And I'd consider myself one of the few people who can brag about getting a hug from The magical Mr. Mistoffelees. ୧⁠(⁠＾⁠ ⁠〰⁠ ⁠＾⁠)⁠୨

So yeah I finally finished a big project in art class. I started this in September and it took about 25 hours in total... It's a Cats alphabet with just 10 letters, because I don't have all year.

My favorites are definitely Bombalurina and Jemima. Also my own design I snuck into the drawing.

Anyway I'll never shut up about Ostrava's (Czech Republic) production of Cats. They've introduced redesigns for all the characters and a new background. It looks strange at first but it's absolutely brilliant. It's the perfect mix of beautiful and chaotic and I love it (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠)⁠♡
