After watching the brutal beating that took the life of Tyre Nichols by Memphis Officers of the "law", I think showing the footage on social media is not the best thing to do. I will advise viewers to be ready for what's coming. Summary of the events, Tyre appears to have committed no crime, and certainly nothing that deserved being threatened, chased down, beaten to death, and mocked as he cried out for his mother. This will not be the last killing by these overpowered pigsl. We end the "thin blue line" culture of police lawlessness, we need to stop acting like they are gods for choosing a profession. It is time to END ALL IMMUNITY FOR GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES, END POLICE UNIONS (they don't deserve any of these privileges), END POLICE MILITARIZATION (cops aren't soldiers, they are overpaid pigs with a badge), CRIMINALIZE OFFICER'S FAILURE TO INTERVENE WHEN WITNESSING OTHER COOS BREAKING THE LAW (you cops are not the law. As always every month I take my advocacy days very seriously, and this time as one of the newest directors of the Sensible Movement Coalition I joined the crew at the Noohra Labs X Midwest CannaWomen event in Cleveland which it was educational and fun! My friends and I also went to the @akronpridefestival where we had so much fun and advocated to #SaveLegendsOfTomorrow and kick some christians out of the area making a safe zone once again lol! And last but not least as the new Community Engagement Specialist for @westparkkamms I joined the local #KammsCornersFarmersMarket this past Sunday which it was a great experience to get more in touch with my community and local farmers. It is National Coming Out Day, a day to live into our truth loudly and proudly as members of the LGBTQ community. It is also a day where we invite allies like me and perhaphs you in to see the LGBTQIA+ community more clearly. If you are LGBTQIA+-identified, I really hope you feel proud of who you are in this movement … not only today, but every day! if you are an ally, family member or friend, thank you for helping to making today easier for everyone in our community. Sharing our authentic selves with others is not always safe or easy, and it is not a one-day event — but when possible, it can be an extraordinarily powerful key to breaking down the barriers we face as LGBTQIA+ people. Coming out is just as important today as it was thirty-two years ago when we first observed National Coming Out Day. So make a post or help a friend to come out. If you're having difficulties coming out don't worry help is here follow @HRC (Human Rights Campaign) to get the best coming out resources and remember that this year more than ever we need you to get out and vote. Make sure you have a plan and go VOTE! We must come out to vote for pro-equality candidates up and down the ballot to ensure our leaders won't be insulting, attacking, or killing our communities, but instead a supporting, following, and always having their backs.
